Hi Loraine. Thank you for your suggestions! I agree about the azelaic acid for pores. It's the best thing I've used to keep my pores clear and I'm going to start using it again instead of the niacinimide. I do have a lovely facial oil that I have been mixing in with my night time moisturiser, and that definitely seems to help with the dehydration, even if only temporarily. I'll definitely give the DMK serum and the Prime Eve plus some more time. I agree that a month is not enough. And yes about glycerin. I find it works better for me than the HA. They sound very luxurious indeed and I have to chuckle at having a bit of Clarins or Youth Dew under my arm pits! 😅😂 I love the idea! I have never used anything other than supermarket deo. I know that Avene sell different products in different territories, which accounts for the fact that you can still get the serum. It's very confusing as a lot of the Avenue products I hear about on UA-cam, I can seldom get here. But then we have others that other countries don't get. And yes about cosmetics descriptions. A lot of them are exagerrated and untrue. I concur xx

I’m thinking about getting the Avene deodorant to see how it compares to the Clarins one. Both are more on the gentle side. I’m having a lot of success with Avene this year. The EL Youth-Dew puts some pep in my step. I really do feel like my younger self after I put it on. It reminds me of this horrid Rexona aerosol spray my parents banned me from wearing in high school, except it’s more refined and expensive smelling. Slightly candy musk without being too much. Worst product description is Clarins Total Eye Lift - I think this could be a scam. Didn’t lift my eyes area at all. Claims to make a visible difference after 30 seconds - I think anything that is moisturizing will make a difference after 30 seconds. That being said, there are two more eye creams/serums I’d like to try before giving up!

@@MsActor2009 I'm sorry about the eye lift serum. Sometimes Clarins do make some wild claims. But then I forgive them and remember some of their products that do work. I will look out for the Avene deodorant. It will be interesting to see if they sell it in this market 🌞

@@MsActor2009 have you tried the Clarins Plant Gold facial oil? If so, what were your thoughts? I'd love to know 🙏

@@Fifty-sense I have a feeling the Avene one will be more gentle than the Clarins one, yet the Clarins one will help me feel fresher longer. I thought my parents were cruel for banning me from using the Rexona spray, but it was full of talc and chemicals and they convinced me I was having an allergic reaction to it.

Yip. Cream is the best!

I use glycolic acid on the nights I don't use retin a. It helps with exfoliation. I haven't tried much Korean skincare. Thank you for the tip x

@@maryremke5215 my default sunscreen is the Nivea shine control spf50. I always have one on the go. I find it works really well under makeup. I hope you enjoy the l'occitane xx

@Fifty-sense Oh Sue I do recommend it for sure. It's too much in summer when it's hot( I'm in Germany and Greece during that time) but I use it all other seasons. I see big difference after 2-3 weeks. Pores are refined, less oily, soft skin, better texture, more even skintone. Haha yes, I love being economic with my hard earned cash lol But really, my skin plays havoc with heat and cold and so.etimes I am having a little cure of 4 weeks with the Clarins Ever calm Cicabalm and the face oil of the Ever calm. It really helps. I am always surprised, the more face oil I use, the less greasy my skin becomes. I have good results with apricot oil, hazelnut oil and carrot oil. I love them from Melvita and they last a long time. Melvita is in the L'Occitane group. Any French eco brand is good I think. It is effective, I promise. Let me know how you like the SOS Primers. Good thing that Clarins is so generous with testers.

True, being realistic my capsule would be around 6. Growing up, my mother had two shades of lipstick at a time that she would wear to death for a few years, then replace them, whereas I’m currently hoarding about 30 and mix some that have oxidized with lip gloss. Using and replacing every few years is probably more hygienic and environmentally friendly.

I'm so glad you like this! It typically gets used up more quickly than a liquid foundation. But it's also highly pigmented, so you don't need to use much. Agree, it makes the skin look flawless! I still love Double Wear too!

I would say it is neutral leaning warm. Definitely not cool.

I felt the same way you do when I was much younger! A slick of mascara and lip balm did the trick. Not so much any more 😭

@@Fifty-sense Hi Sue I will still face the world bare faced occasionally at 52. I’m disabled so don’t go to the gym, but I will go to the supermarket etc bare faced at times. My skin is overall decent and if my rosacea isn’t too fired up it’s less of a need for coverage. If I was going to the gym I still wouldn’t wear makeup, even now at this age. I’m never going to look like I did when I was younger, but that’s normal and I’m ok with it. Do I feel more confident with some makeup? Yes, but I’m still ok about being bare faced if necessary. ELDW is bullet proof. I wouldn't bother with anything else for gym. If I didn't use EL, I'd go bare faced. Can't bear makeup transfering onto my sweat towel!
