Some of my motorcycle adventures. I ride with a few really great people. You will not find cussing on my channel...well not intentionally anyway. I'm an old sailor and can hold my own against most when it comes to cussing but prefer not to broadcast it where children or others don't need to hear such stuff. Also I'm a Christian, not a saint.
Also you will notice by the channels I watch I do enjoy watching motovlogers (sp?) videos.

4 21 2023 Riding with Harvey and Mike to get some breakfast.

Hello all, this video is a bit different. We talked so much on the Sena's that I thought it would be to much, especially since I haven't quite figured out the proper way so ya'll can hear everyone. So, this video is more a short video of the sound, the roar, of the bikes. So sit back, put yourself in the drivers seat and ride along.

Ride along on a late November day as we travel to get some really good BBQ at the Checkered Pig in Martinsville, Va. And yeah...IT WAS GREAT! We had all kinds of bikes from H-D's, Can Am's, Honda's, Kawasaki's. Remember it's not what you ride but that your ride. I hope you enjoy the ride.

8 3 2022 Saturday First Ride after 5 month and a few days

After a little over 5 months I made my first ride on my 2020 H-D Tri Glide. I want to thank all of ya'll for the messages of encouragement and prayers during my issue and finally surgery on my back. I saw my surgeon this past Friday and took a short ride to see how and if it affected my back on Saturday. I think it went well. I to a short ride of about 45 miles round trip and gosh it felt good ...
7 11 2022 Surgery on back next week.

Some subscribers have been asking me to do a short update on my health status due to the video I released several weeks ago. Here it is in a nut shell. I will be having back surgery next week. But I sure hope, Lord willing, to be back on my 2020 Harley Davidson Tri Glide just as soon as possible.
5 21 2022 Tri-Glide Ed says the reason I haven't been on my 2020 Tri-Glide is my legs hurt.
Переглядів 1,2 тис.2 роки тому
I just wanted to let ya'll know that the reason I haven't put out any videos recently is that my old legs have really been hurting for about the last 6 weeks. But the past almost 2 weeks my right leg hurts so bad it's hard to stand let alone walk. I went to the VA this past Monday and got steroid shot and some medicines, but so far no help. I just wanted ya'll to know. Respectfully, Ed
4 2 2022 How I fixed my trunk, how I find neutral easily etc. on my 2020 HD Tri-Glide.

In this video I share some quick tips from my previous videos on how I fixed the trunk latch issue on my 2020 Tri-Glide. How I find neutral easily, how I steer my Tri-Glide. Also comparing stock bars vs my friend Harvey's 12" bars. Also how to reset your reverse motor if it stops working. I hope this video helps you and gives you some helpful ideas. Have fun but ride safe!

Hi Ed, I know you are not riding any longer but wanted to check in to see how you are doing; I hope things are well with you. All the best…Lee
Hey Lee hope you had a great Christmas and the New Year is the best yet!! Lee, I actually had a Vocal Cord cancer removed from my right vocal cord on November 4th. I sound a little rough right now but as I told the doctor, "Doc, I'm 75 and I know I've talked for at least 74 years, so if I never make another sound that's okay." You take care Lee, please have fun but ride safe! Respectfully, Ed
@ Ed, it is so good to hear from you and I am so sorry you are dealing with cancer. Took me a while to see and now respond to your message as I spent the holidays in the hospital myself. Kidney issues stemming from issues caused from treating and recovery after cancer. Cancer free for almost 7 years now but the debris field that is my body caused from chemo and bacteria infections/antibiotics took their toll on my kidneys; in spite of this I have had time and health do all the things I love and best of which is spending time with my beautiful wife. I pray that your recovery goes well and you get to keep talking for many years to come. I do miss TriGlideEd’s story telling while showing off the great country side of Virginia. You will be in our prayers and sending best wishes for a Happy and Blessed New Years
@@leewelchons Thank you for the prayers for sure Lee. I wish the very, very best to you and your bride for the upcoming year. May God continue to bless you both. Take care Lee. Most Respectfully, Ed
Excellent video. I would appreciate a video on the use of the Infotainment center. I have a 2024 TriGlide Ultra. I need hard copy directions on how to use it.
You’re great thanks a bunch
Ed, thank you for making this video. You provided me with valuable insights. I have a 2012 Tri Glide and finally after recently retiring, I am going to get to ride and make improvements to her. Question for you, given all the new technology and advances in the Tri Glide, should I consider upgrading to a newer version? Also, Lived in Virginia and relocated to the MD Eastern Shore. Thank you, Mike
Good morning Miguel. If you can afford to update I would. A lot of good changes to the Tri-Glide since 2012. But again that's just my opinion. Have fun but ride safe. Respectfully, Ed
Thanks
Thanks for the tips. I just bought one and want to be safe
Howdy there Mr. Ed. I was checking in on you as well. I saw your comment about your back surgery. Sorry you had to sell but def have to take care of that back. Thank you for all of the info over the years. I really enjoyed your channel. Take care of your self sailor. Salute.
Thanks Cappy. I think it was meant to be for me to stop riding. I just had a cancer removed from my right vocal cord. Whew....blessed to grow old though. Take care, Ed
You don't need the stupid music.
Thanks Ed, same problem with the trunk not closing without a fight or holding the button and pushing it closed as you mentioned. I oiled the button and the sliding mechanism, I figured Harley got the adjustment correct and the button was just hanging up, a couple of shots of PB Blast and it’s smooth as glass now! Thanks for posting and sharing the secret!
Glad to hear.
That was really helpful Ed. I bet by now you either like those bars or have upgraded? I am in the same situation and can’t decide how much longer to go? I need to sit up more and not reach so far forward! I feel my arms should be bent some and not straight. Your buddies suggestion of easier steering with a taller bar has got me thinking. Does he still like them? Stay safe.
Where is Tri Glide Ed I miss you and your riding trips. Pray you are well .
Hey Bob, after my back surgery it honestly hurt to ride. I sold my Tri-Glide and I don't regret that decision one bit. My old back still hurts some but not like when riding. Take care, Ed
Neutral tip works awesome, thanks for sharing ED!
Very helpful
Glad you think so! Take care.
I did try what you said about the trunk lid and it didn't work, but mine is a 2012 maybe it's just worn out , I'm going to play with it a little later
why why why.. it takes a few seconds to demonstrate spraying on a lube..........yet you spend so much time yaking about whom your riding with..just get to teh flipping point
My trunk lock was very hard to push in along with not holding door closed HD uses grease on their lock mechanisms i sprayed the mechanism inside and out with WF40 silicone spray and it now operates buttery smooth easy to push the lock in and easy to close by lifting by the HD trim no more slamming
Why does everyone want to put it in neutral, at a stop??…. leave it in first gear,so you can take off and avoid getting hit by some idiot
Scott I would put mine in neutral to give my old hand a break from holding the hydraulic clutch.
Very cool
Good video.
Hello Ed. Just hoping you are OK. I have been missing your videos.
Hey Jim. Jim I actually sold my Tri-Glide last October. Every sense I had my back surgery in 2022 the riding was just a bit much on this old man. I felt "every single bump" in the road. I thought I would keep the channel up just for folks who may get some good out of what I said and hopefully they enjoy the ride along. Take care Jim. Most respectfully, Ed
Sometimes let clutch out a little too put in first sometimes
It's not a hatch on a ship yes I saw your Navy hat you got to be gentle with it and I seeing people slam it too I just shake my head and walk away
Thanks Ed, my 2020 Ultra Tri Glide trunk lock never worked properly 12:08 . The lock finally completely fell apart, push button cylinder came completely out of the trunk. I did research and this is another customer complaint by Tri glide owners ( bad design cheap lock Harley cut corners on part- lock- customers should expect more for $40,000 ) I had to completely remove the lock mechanism to fix it …and be prepared to take 6 hours or more to fix it and if you pray. The c clip that holes the entire lock on trunk came out and to put it back was a nightmare. You actually have to use a mirror inside the trunk to remove lock and put c clip back in place. You should never have to slam the trunk to have it secure. It now works properly but knowing it a cheap lock main parts are plastic not steal no doubt will break again. Drive safe and thanks for the video. Spenc USMC Veteran
Hey y’all some good ole boys ha in fun riding. My wife and I just retired and have had our triglide a year now and I have installed many accessories cause we bought it bone stock. Bought mine with 16k on it 2017. Came with an alumna trailer and man we were set. Having fun in florida and really enjoyed your video. God Bless and ride safe
If harvey says use it....use it😅😊
Enjoyed the ride! Grandson plays football at Ferrum. Hope to ride my triglide down this fall from West Virginia. The roads are really curvy coming from christiansburg too!!👍
David we have some of the best motorcycle roads in the country...in my humble opinion. David, I sold my Tri-Glide several months ago. I had back surgery in July 2022 and it just became a chore to ride my bike. Also we financed the bike and it didn't make sense to be making a big payment each month and the bike just sitting. David please have fun riding but ride safe. Also, go Panthers!! Respectfully, Ed
@@TriGlideEd I know what you mean!! I had my back fused in 2022 in Roanoke and had to go from 2 wheels to 3 . Just now really getting back into riding!!
@@davidconley3610 That's where I had my surgery too David. A young lady doctor did mine, Dr. Rogers. What amazed me was it was an outpatient surgery. Reported to hospital at 9 a.m. and left same day about 3:30 p.m. Just amazing!
Do you trail brake on your trike
Morning Tracy. In regards to trail braking, the answer would be yes and it also depends on the curve and the severity of the curve. On the Tail of the Dragon, some of the curves are what I called "Kiss your own "butt" curves or switchbacks, you best be applying a lot of brake before the curve but once into the curve come off the brake and accelerate. Also Tracy I've mentioned to a few subscribers that I sold my Tri-Glide due to back surgery. Most respectfully, Ed
Oh that was on the Blue Ridge Parkway.....around 'Lil Switzerland
Ed, haven't seen you post in a very long time. I do enjoy your videos. Just bought a 2024 Tr-Glide Ultra...Blue Burst...really enjoying it...even got the wife to ride with me ! Love your content, miss seeing anything new; but enjoying watching your videos all the same....Hope you are well and all is good.. Love the ride I did last year with a good friend and Brother-In-Laws...did that on a 2015 Ultra Limited Low...Looking forward to doing it all again on the Trike..Southern Boy..My Daddy grew up in Kentucky...I still say warsh, ol, etc.....Hahaha
Good morning David and thanks for watching my videos. David, I sold my Tri-Glide this past October. I had back surgery in July 2022. I'm doing okay but riding my bike became a chore. To this day ice and ibuprofen are my best friends. But I sure hope you are enjoying your ride. Remember have fun but ride safe. Most respectfully, Ed
@TriGlideEd Sorry to hear that Ed..but understand...Your videos were an inspiration for my trading in 2 wheels for 3..I enjoyed them...Prayers and best wishes to you and yours...
@@davidcrisp9513 David enjoy your ride! And thank you for your kind words. Respectfully, Ed
Hope you are doing well. Please ride and make videos
Steven I sold my Tri Glide back in October. After my back surgery it bothered me to ride. But I appreciate you watching my videos and I hope I helped someone along the way. Respectfully, Ed
Instead of readjusting the bars after the install, tell your mechanic that you want to come in and sit on the bike before he tightens them down
Hi Ed, it’s been a while since your last video so I wanted to check in with you to see how you are doing. I hope you are well, take care…Lee
Good morning Lee. Lee, the reason for no videos is I sold my Tri-Glide near the end of last year. After my back surgery, it just didn't feel good riding. I only rode about 4 times last year. I'm thinking about doing a short video telling everyone(of course we got a new computer and I got to figure this thing out first). I thought I would keep the channel up for a while with hopes that I may have shed a little light into the riding of a 3 wheel motorcycle. Lee I want to thank you for the kind words and support you gave me during my few years of providing the videos. You take care and most respectfully, Ed
@@TriGlideEd Good morning Ed, I really appreciate you getting back with me and letting me know about selling the TriGlide. I am sorry and sad you were forced to make this decision. We all will come to this point for one reason or other but as with your case when the decision is forced on you because of pain or discomfort it’s almost like the decision is out of your hands. My son had to stop riding in his late 30’s. After 2 bad accidents he couldn’t physically hold up a motorcycle and his wrists couldn’t withstand the beating holding onto the handlebars so he didn’t transmission to a trike. My brother in law and cousin who are 5 and 6 years older than me came to the point they didn’t feel comfortable riding any longer and walked away. So you are not alone. From when I first discovered your channel I liked your approach, riding and talking. I love the scenery of the area you lived and I became a fan and looked forward to your next update. When you first shared the issues you were dealing with because of your back I knew you were on a steep road and hoped by having the surgery you would find relief so my checking in was more concern about how you were doing versus why haven’t you been riding. I have known so many people who have dealt with back issues that their only choice was surgery, some have done great and others not so much. Based on all their feedback I was not sure riding would be a viable option for you long term but hoped having the surgery would provide a good quality of life for everyday living without pain. I do feel it would be great for you to share a video with this update for all your subscribers and leave your channel up as you did a good job on the videos you posted over the years. Thank you and take care of yourself. I wish you all the best, God Bless you and your family. Lee
@@leewelchons Lee, thank you so much for your kind words. Lee it is people like you that helped me to keep making my videos. Your encouragement and positive words were so very much appreciated. I will try to work on a video and post sometime in the near future outlining my reason to sell my bike. I will you and yours the very best and may God continue to bless you and yours in all that you do. With the utmost respect, Ed
Hey there, Ed, this is Jeff from Michigan. I sure do appreciate your videos, and I look forward to more please. As long as we stay open and let God show us the way, we’ll be alright. Oh, and Thank You for you service sir.
Hello Ed, just wanted to let you know I appreciate your videos, and hope you make more soon. I’m up here in Michigan and I believe you’ve inspired me to go check out the HD three wheelers. Now, in spite of any ailments, while I can. I appreciate you Ed, and enjoy your style of thoughtful commentary. Jeff
Thank you Jeff for those very kind words. Jeff I mentioned to Lee above that I actually sold my Tri-Glide near the end of last year. After my back surgery it just became a chore to mount up and ride. I hope you are able to get one of those 3 wheel rides and enjoy many years of riding. You take care and if you do get a bike remember, have fun but ride safe. Most respectfully, Ed
Just want to say hi from northern illinois. Hope all is well with you and yours. Look forward to see a couple new videos over the summer if youre doing ok. Hope your back surgury has worked out. Back issues are horrible. Like i said, just wanted to say hi....
Hello Bryan, hope you are doing well. Bryan I sold my tri glide near the end of last year. My old back just wasn't up to the bouncing around and it became a chore just to ride. I have to try and monitor working around the house and learn to take my time. My wife gets on me, and rightfully so, about trying to push to hard at times. I'm retired but still have the mind set of when I start to do something, like mow and weedeat, I need to do it all today. Old people, we're a trip. Take care Bryan, Most respectfully, Ed
Well thats a darn shame. I'll miss riding with you, even if it was only in a video. Take care of yourself and i wish all the best to you and your bride.
Was rewatching some of your vids and thought id say hi. Hope all is well. Take care. (Sorry if im being a pest)
Don't know for sure, but I think that it is easier on the starter if you start in neutral 😊.
Does the vent open and close??
Yes sir.
How far are you from Richmond Va? Visiting for the weekend.
AMEN ED AMEN !!
Morehead Kentucky is where our Family, Fathers Side, are all buried.....I will be taking a ride down there this summer to pay my respects....Chuckled when you said you were riding there...or did ride there...small world Ed ..small world
Looks like a funnnn ride Ed ! Got a new 2024 Tri-Glide now....sooooo lookin for these types of rides !
well he said the key word there. backrest. The taller bars will have the tendency to push you back some. If that's what you want that's fine. But keep in mind that a slight forward lean is technically a better riding position than leaning back or even neutral. Unless like this guy maybe that has hand issues. Weight on your bars give you more control and feel for your front end
I was just thinking about you and fell upon this video. Made me smile to hear your voice again! God is good! Keep riding Ed! Even though it's Texas, I think those are fans of yours!😊

Thanks for watching! Ed
New to Your Channel....Lovin it Ed.....Question... your wife, daughter and granddaughter ride together ??? As in they ride Scooters as well or they drive a car ?
😂😂
Thanks Ed, I watched your video because I couldn’t open my trunk on my 2023 Tri Glide. I lubricated the ring around the lock and pushed the lock button in and out several times. Suddenly, the door opened. Because I didn’t know how to adjust the hardware, I left it alone. I appreciate this video. 🎉🎉
Terry glad you got it open. Just keep a watch on how it's working. You may not need to adjust anything, but, if you do take it by your H-D and I'm sure they can help you out. Respectfully, Ed
We have a FreeWheeler 2018. Our reverse motor quit working. Sent it out for repair, big bucks. To buy a new one I would have to sell my house. We have very low mileage. I believe what broke it was pushing the reverse button too many times. From my research most folks that have this problem have expressed disgust with this setup. I have a transmission add on reverse on my 2004 Ultra with a sidecar. It has operated flawlessly since I purchased the bike new. 20 years is proof to me it is a good product. The design of the Harley reverse is planned obsolescence. I suggest to anyone that has their reverse fail go straight to the transmission add on reverse and be sure to get a good one not a knock off.
What is a good product?
@@boscodog4358 the reverse gear I have on my 2004, 5speed transmission is a champion. It was installed by Harley Davidson of Washington DC. The other units that they provide are made by Lehman. Frankenstein Trikes also has a reverse gear available that is good. Beware the Knockoffs. They leak and break and have limited tech support. You get what you pay for. My plan for my Frankenstein Trike is to get one from Frankenstein as they are always available and stand behind their products.
Always enjoy your vids Ed, and hope you’re doing well. Keep getting out there riding.
