      Check for your car burning coolant or oil and water mixing. There are also testers that attach to the radiator to check for exhaust gasses in the coolant

    Any reason why you didn't do the front before doing the back? I have the same leaf springs I'm going to install. I have 2" billet shackles coming in, Fox 3.0 front and rear. I'm wanting to stay as close to stock height as I can. Mine's a '13 supercab, no cap or anything on the bed. I have Stainless works 1 7/8 long tube headers with dump exhaust enroute so basically I'm waiting for the headers to install them while I have the front springs out. I went ahead and ordered new motor mounts, transmission mount and a dipstick tube. Horrible placement especially when doing headers so I'll make sure one way or another I'll have an oil tube in hand lol. Circle D is doing my torque converter, billet input shaft. I'm on the fence on which clutches I want to go with. Axel Exchange doing a carbon fiber drive shaft. I figured to go with a powermaster starter and install that since I'll already be in the area with the headers. I already replaced the valve body with lead frame which actually started all of my build lol. Fuel pump, bigger tranny cooler and racing alternator. Mistake others make with alternator is going with higher amp. Racing alternator isn't much over factory amps because downfall with really high amps is you can loose rpm power range and or low end torque. New NGK iridium plugs, msd insulators and wires, BTW plugs were a pain on the bottom! I did them months before I had planned this project build. I've built drag cars for decades and I always start with suspension, drive train etc before the motor. Because if you can't plant it to the ground or drive train can't hold up to the power, basically time and money wasted. Whipple stage 2 cherry on top. I do plan on doing a UA-cam video, right now just doing the footwork. Your truck looks great and much respect to doing those leafs while wearing sandals lol. You've got balls bigger than I do brother 🤣.

    • @vasilibrown

      I actually did the back before I did the front. My stock rears were sagging hard and at the time couldn't afford the eibach coils as well. Then when I put the rear leaves on it was so much higher I had no choice but to do the fronts as well haha. Your build sounds awesome!! best of luck!!

    Help me man. I’ve got an 85 corvette. The fuel lines caught the car on fire two or three times with the injected system so I had enough of that and I ripped the intake off and put on my carburetor. I’m figuring out how to reset the timing with the new distributor, but my biggest problem is, hooking up the throttle linkage to the carburetor. What is the little piece that you showed that is on the side of the carburetor that you said we would need to connect the existing throttle linkage to the new carburetor and where do I get that. I wish I could show you a picture, I bought something on eBay and I’m not sure if it’s the right thing or not. This is the original kit that I bought and I’m not sure how to install it. It comes with springs, etc. if you search this exact description, you will pull it up on eBay. “Throttle Cable Bracket & Kickdown Spring Kit Fits Holley Edelbrock Stainless”. I also just found the links in your description and just purchased the same parts you recommended on eBay, but can you show us how to connect them a little bit closer up and more in detail because I am clueless on how to connect the throttle lines and I am stuck

    • @floridaprisonconsulting8791
      @floridaprisonconsulting8791 2 місяці тому

      The car was actually driving on only one jet so I bought new aftermarket jets and then everybody told me that they don’t work as good as the original so I had the original rebuilt and that cost a bunch of money then when I put the Jets back on the car, there was a leak that I didn’t know about that was spraying onto the Distributor and flames were 10 feet tall. Luckily I had a fire extinguisher and I thought I had the problem fixed. I started up again and the same thing happened, so I decided no more fuel injection. I’m going carb. I put so much work in this car and I got so burned out. It’s been sitting for probably 6 to 8 months but now I’ve got to do something with this. I cannot keep delaying it.

      Part numbers are 20-121 for the kickdown bracket on the carb, and 20-95 for the bracket on the intake. Then you can connect the throttle cable to the carb with a bolt/stud/whatever. let me know if you need anymore help
