Martyn - after watching your vlog I realised that I also have inaccurately placed bubbles - however, I cannot face ripping it back - I really, really don't want to have to re-work the brioche - I'm going to embrace my interpretation of the pattern.

I think the issue with the Twists and Turns isn't the knitting of the shawl or the shawl itself,, but with the styling. Yours is absolutely beautiful. Fantastic colors. Styling is something I struggle with for almost every shawl I knit. No answers here, just commiseration.

Your Twists and Turns is one of my faves. Mine is still in pieces because one of the colors was hideous on me. I plan to figure it out in the New Year.

The curry looked quite good. I loved to see how you alternated from one project to another during the weekend. Both sides of your shawl look very good.

Hi Martyn, well done on completing so much crafting. You was right to fix the bubbles,just wouldn't have looked right not spaced correct. Good idea on setting a time on a project to make sure everything is getting some love. If the spinning extra bits won't spin, you can always use them as stuffing. I've just commented on your Instagram post about the fingerless mittens I've started and have fallen out with the pattern already, so improvising! Have a great week xxJane 🐑🌼

You did great work with reknitting the bubble section. I personally am not so strict with what Irina calls „beautymarks“. It’s what makes the shawl unique. By the way, do you like people who point on mistakes in your knitting? I do, maybe because I don’t take it serious when there is something „special“ in my knitting. Enjoy your crafting!

No worries about your design feature--- I “signed” my shawl too. Can’t wait to see your color additions. I’m loving this year’s MKAL so far-- we still haven’t used the “ additional knitting needles” that Stephen said we need for this shawl. I’m thinking clue 4 is going to be a lot of knitting because it’s so small at this point. But we’ll see, he always keeps us on our toes. HOW FUN !!!!!!

I did not even notice until you pointed it out... mine are all offset and u know what? I don't care! I'm nearly done with the 2nd brioche section. I'm not gonna stress it. Another unique aspect of my creation. I CAN embrace the chaos! 😂❤

Well, Martin, I admire your determination to be as precise as possible but in my universe the special elements I have incorporated into my MKAL just show that my work is mine alone😆😳 I completely misread the instructions for the second bubble section and did 7 stitches per bubble instead of 5. It didn't occur to me that it was wrong because the end of row worked as it was supposed to. It wasn't until I'd completed the next brioche section and was starting on the final bubble section that I realised - and there was no way I was ripping back brioche and mohair to correct it! So, I embraced the uniqueness of my work and moved on.

Thank you Martyn for taking us along on your crafting adventures (again). Always enjoy what you get up to. Mark did an excellent job winding the cake. I love your idea of setting a timer to work on projects! Your MKAL is absolutely gorgeous! Looking forward to what comes next! I’m off to finish my clue three….oh before I forget…..thank you for showing us how to fix your brioche…..much appreciated!

You are crazy! I don’t know how you are going to get all that done! I have MKAL and Pokemon Go afternoon today and shopping and at least 2-3 hrs of leaf raking. I am not going to finish (or get halfway for that matter) through Clue 3 and I work late on Tuesday and Wednesday again, so no way am I going to finish Clue 3 on time. 😣😢

I am actually doing this MKAL (bought yarn last year, frogged it), and am enjoying it. My progress is slow; I am still doing the triangles from Clue 1. Clue 3 dropped today. I don’t care that I am so far behind! I am embracing my pacing. I acknowledge I have ADHD and my progress is not always forward, but it’s progress nonetheless.

This gave me a tremendous amount of anxiety seeing advocacy for that giant yarn tangle! I decided what the heck, measured off a length of yarn and went for it. I can’t believe how much simpler it is than trying to manage the butterfly bobbins I’d previously wound up. Thanks!!
