Great to see you again aswell, they bith drove well fir there 1st outings. Hopefully the optima does me proud at the classic 🤞 and i’ll see you at revival 😁
Very nice Richard, it looked really good on track as well, if mine is as half as good I’ll be pleased. I’ve actually finally finished building mine tonight ;) take care mate
Very nice. I really do wish Associated would do a non special release run of these buggies. Like a proper run of production. Not limited amounts. I'd buy one immediately if they did. I think part of the reason for the ride height is that tracks were bumpier back in this things time, and electrics/batteries were heavier.
Wow Mate, she flys! and that's a 10.5?, track looked awesome to, big advocate of head cam race footage - thank you!!, best part though is getting to actually see one of these put through its paces -now its a race car, not a model,.. chassis to prove it!!! cheers mate. AB.
Nice! Fun seeing the RC10s on tracks again. I had a CE but sold it off a while back, I probably should have held on to it since I missed out on the 40th kit. I've been thinking about getting the RC10T...I think my wife is ready to divorce me now 😂
It was ripping around there! Not lacking power at all! Sucks you were not able to finish but at least you were able to laugh at it. Hope you can get back out with it again soon and have some more fun with it!
For kit set up, except tyres it went well. Just the last 2 finals was a bit loose on the back. But didnt want to glue up a new set of tyres as no idea where or when i’ll have chance to run it ?
@@lo2713 With a bit of tuning I bet it would run really well. Hopefully parts are available just in case you need them. It's amazing how competitive the old RC's can be, especially with a little modern electronics in them.
@@lo2713Yep but I’m thinking the Fan RC RC10 kit could be the way to go for a track buggy. I’ve got the YZ10R lined up so that’s going to take up a load of track time for me over the next few months along with the B7 so that’s enough pressure to get all that done lol
Thats my next step, going to see what towers are out there and compare. It only needs about 4-5mm lower. But as i wasnt geting grip roll, it aint all bad. But smoother tracks allways warrent a slightly lower ride hight.
@@lo2713 I would find the ride height you want, then measure the difference. I’m in the United States! I just finished my 40th Anniversary build….id love to help, what can I do…?
@@JoseRamos-su3ep that what you have said is help enough 👍 i was just going to get towers that added 5mm but prob best to acctually get some measurments 😁
The ultima would of been quicker on that track, but sadly i dont have mine anymore to compare. On an old school dirt track, the rc10 would just ride the bumps. But, once ive played around with set ups. Im sure the rc10 will improve a lot.
Thanks for these insights. I will built a 40th as my next project.😊
Its a great car to build, and even better on the track 👌
Looks fantastic! And thumbs up for actually racing it!😀👍
I have no room on the shelf 😂
It was lovely seeing you again and wonderful that you chose to run two absolute classics with the RC10 and the Optima.

Yeah, deffo a lot bumbier 😂 im hoping they do a general release of this, would be a big seller for sure 👍

Cheers, still trying to see what filming works, and what dont 😂 its all a learning curve
Brilliant. Glad to see the 10 got a work out, despite the hardware wanting to go its own way. Look forward to the next video.
😂 yeah, small issues in my mind, gearbox took it all, hopefully it can only get better 🤞
that was really good . lovely machines 👍
It was, cant wait to get it out more. Hopefully get some tracktime to do some set up tweaks 👍

😂 yeah not many new kits for me this year.
It goes very well and fast 😮 Especially as it's not the terrain of choice for a RC10 😊 Looking forward to see other run video of this buggy 👍🤝
Yeah im looking forward to giving it a run on the grass, hopefully not to ling to wait 🤞
Nice work, they don't make many like this anymore!
Nope, was so nice to drive aswell 👌

Luckly it was 3 heat finals, so i took 3 rd overall. Its a great car to drive thats for sure 👌
Great looking track!
It sure is, they have done a great job with all the work they have put in
Great to see it stretch its legs.
Looked really good out there.

Good to hear it went well :)
Box set up on astro, i was expecting it to grip roll. But it was great 👍pity you wont be able to try your rc10 out on the track

@@RCKickschannel yeah i only race one car at a time, can get hectic running 2. The fan rc is going to be popular with racers i think ?
I'm no pro but maybe try 40 grams on the front end? Was the front of the buggy swaying into turns? Maybe a front sway bar?
Had 45 upfront, max allowed was 50, going to be looking into a sway bar, but wanted to run it as box. Wasnt bad to be honest, easy to drive 👍
Nice one 👍
Any chance using taller shock towers, lifting the upper shock mounts a centimeter or two….

@@TurnerEarl-e3i no idea to be honest, only been to Eden park twice, its a 7 hour trip for me 😭

What turn motor were you running ?
