i believe you're watching the outtake of this performance. the performance used on the actual show is better. there's 3 great recordings of this song. the original that appears on the beatles's white album, the original from this show "rock and roll circus" and the 1969 version of this song from john's pre-beatles-break-up solo abum "live peace in toronto." which features clapton on lead guitar, klaus voorman on bass, a friend of the beatles from their hamburg days and future bassist for manfred mann, and alan white, of yes, on drums. concerning the last one its a much better mix off the album than the live video from the concert. thanks for the video.

This song added balls to the whole rock genre. It literally blew the British Invasion back across the pond. Led Zeppelin was one of the few bands that had any kind of fire power on this level, but it took them multiple albums to do what this one song did. Every band had to answer to this song if they were going to last, and rightfully so.

I'm a late 60s year old male, who has a long list of amazing favorite songs from artists that saw less to no playing time on the radio from the more 'popular' songs, and see the same trend on reaction channels. My examples of artists are Anita Baker, Fleetwood Mac, Muddy Waters, and Crosby, Stills, Nash, & Young.
