Yet another interesting nuance with Soifon is when she slew Ggio at Fake Karakura. She was somber, even sad. Something tells me that deep down, she does not enjoy killing even if it's her job description. She's only a killer because of her family and the toxic paranoid world of the nobility they serve.

Oh and yes, Soifon is best Shinigami waifu without compromise or apologies.

One interesting aspect of Soifon's overall state is the subservient role of her life that certainly contributed to her sometimes extreme personality. There's no doubt Yoruichi was the first person who treated her as a human being rather than just another expendable underling. Prior to that she was molded to be nothing but a servant weapon by her kin, likely killing and torturing others as part of her conditioning and more so since her family are hardcore executioners. Then Yoruichi came along and happily tried to show her that there's more and better things to life than their respective roles in the status quo. This humanity was snuffed out when Yoruichi left due to circumstance and ironically contributed to Soifon becoming Soul Society's top assassin. Yoruichi has since made strides to moderate Soifon's brutal conditioning even telling her in CFYOW that it's not who she is.
