Costco has a ever changing selection of snack products that are always in bulk sizes. They are often very interesting in flavor but it is not always worth it to test since they are so large. Allow me to try some of them for you so you don't have to. #costco #snacks #tastetester Don’t beat around the bush, beat the bush! I enj...

Expensive IGP Vinegar vs. Very Expensive DOP Vinegar

Every wonder if that super expensive bottle of balsamic vinegar is worth the cost? I give it a taste test and give you my honest opinon. Short answer is in my opinion, it is not worth the 10x cost. The more expensive vinegar tastes great and does taste better being thicker, less sweet, but a distinct wine and grape flavor not present in the less expensive vinegar. It isn't something I would lon...

I had stopped eating three-crab or Viet Huong (literally means Vietnamese fragrance, or rather nostalgic Vietnam) many years ago when found out the fish sauce was made from a precise and repeatable recipe of chemicals and preservatives in a food lab. The recipe has familiar taste to me, but I've switched to the Red Boat for the purity of fish and sea salt. I've been consuming Three-crab fish sauce for nearly 45 years with the greatest job and satisfaction. I have a humble qualification of fish sauce consumption and making from home business, but never claim to be a fish sauce connoisseur! My family inadvertently became a fish sauce maker after the Fall of Saigon in 1975, when things were very difficult in South Vietnam. Post war, fish sauce making was how my family switched from a "bourgeoisie" to a proletariat (working) social class. This was our ticket and reason of remaining living in the city instead of relocating to the "new economic zone", meaning the disease-infested jungle! Fish sauce was simply made of one layer of anchovy and a layer of coarse sea salt. Through fermentation, osmosis of salt and fish, sunlight, manual filtering dripping anchovy extracts, and a certain "family secret", our fish sauce was pure, golden, and wonderfully tasty. The first couple of litters of the first drips of extract were not sold, but rather kept for our family use. My father sealed one liter in a glass bottle and buried in the ground for months and it becomes medicinal, like treating cold sores, etc. The other liter would be for our enjoyment. I remember the taste of this even after 50 years! The subtle anchovy juice, sea salt and the sweetness that lingers on your tongue and .This lingering savory is truly kokumi! When we came to the States 45 years ago, my first taste of Three-crab brand of fish sauce has the exact taste like the especial edition of my family's recipe of fish sauce, but lacks of kokumi because sweetness would rise and be gone, no lingering. That's OK because a whole 24-ounce bottle cost merely over a dollar! That's my memory for the Three-crab brand. Today, I switched to the Red Boat for the pure anchovy and sea salt, but no sweetness, no linger sweetness, no kokumi!

3x spicy was the only spicy meal I've ever had that I couldn't finish. The worst part is the noodles coat your mouth and esophagus with this sticky film of fire and torture, water does nothing. The next day on the toilet is brutal too

Jesus forgive my misophonia: I have the irrational anger upon hearing loud eating. It’s not because I was raised taught to eat with my mouth closed that was just basic decency I learned but my god if someone sat beside me eating like this on a train I would give up my seat and spend the rest of the trip looking for seating without those noises. Great video I just couldn’t suffer the slurps
