Episode 39, Worroora Station to Melbourne
In this episode, we visit Worroora, Quobba, and Wooramel stations before heading east to the wreath flowers in Mullewa and towards home. We get lucky with very little wind at Bunda cliffs on the Nullarbor for some great photos before blowing a hole in our muffler. Without phone service we only had one choice and that was to bush fix it with wire, thanks again Mr Farmer(old fencing wire). From here we have a quick catchup with friends at Perlubie beach then home to Melbourne via the Barossa Valley.

Hi Guys. Been following you for a while now. What month were you in Mullewa for the wildflowers? We are doing WA next year and hope to see the wildflower displays. Cheers.
Hi, we were there at the start of October. They are pretty spectacular 👍 Cheers
@@Adamsfamilytravels thanks for the reply.
Hi guys great to see you guys back on UA-cam. So when we were at Perlubie Beach a couple of years ago you guys must have been heading west? (you must have parked the van in the same spot?) Cheers Graham and Jo OZLAPN
Hi Graham and Jo, Close….. this was the time you left us a calling card. We were on our way back home and have been to busy to get this episode live, until now😂 Not long now and we will be back on the road full time. Can’t wait😂 Wood box looks good, been thinking of something similar. Cheers Dale and Tracey
Was a great couple of days catching up at Perlubie Beach on our way to Perth 😎
Definitely was. Must be time to catch up again👍
Good to see you back on the road again.
Thanks Annette, stay tuned as we head across the Simpson for the races and later on up to the flinders ranges👍
Hey guys, did yous fit tv bracket to wall or was that factory ?
Hi Justin, it was fitted by the factory. Cheers
are you still traveling and doling videos ?
Hi Chris, yes we are still traveling, but on the Mornington Peninsula working for a couple more months to top the kitty up then heading north again👍
Looks great guys. I really like your idea to keep the door in place when travelling over bumpy roads. Are you able to tell me what it's called please?
Just picked up our van, great advice thank you
Funnily enough we were at Alice Springs & Uluru in July 2008. Flew into the Alice on the Saturday mid morning from Adelaide and by lunchtime we were at the Camel Cup. Great 3 days walking around the Alice (memorable walk out to the old telegraph station and then onto the School of the Air and back into the town Centre). Also supported the RFDS as my father had to picked up and flown to the hospital when we were younger. Had a bus trip to uluru which was good, and climbed the rock as well as some good walking around it - next day it was closed due to high winds and a lot of peopl3 missed the climbing experience. Two great nights at the Outback pub there, cold beer with good food and traditional songs . Agnes & kids loved it as was completely different to their previous trips to Oz.
Wow, 1 month apart😂 We had to wait a couple of days for the rock climb to open. Such a great part of the country. You never forget the first time you see the rock.My first time was with Mum and Dad, a week before Azaria chamberlain was taken, back when you camped at the base of the rock. Cheers Dale and Tracey
Excellent video. It was good to see Mike in action. I went to HighSchool with him and it brought back good memories. I would see his updates on FB.
Hi Ian, Such a tragedy. He sure was a great man with a huge heart. Always giving to everyone. Did you know Wayne Johnson? Cheers Dale and Tracey
@@Adamsfamilytravels yes I know Wayne as I met him a few times. He is good friends with Greg and Gary Slack ( Wayne was with Bonnets Saddlery ) - Brian & Heather would put me up for week-ends that the boarding school was closed for. I just recently saw a FB commentary that Wayne did on Rolfy Dahl kicking for goal at an Old Scholars footy game (I never played for the old scholars) and it is a great commentary.
@@iangough7659 Wayne is Tracey’s uncle. This is how we got to meet Mike. It is a small world 👍👍
Just wondering what time of year you did this? And was it 2023?
Hi Kelly, we did this in October 2022.
Noice Vid...
Thanks mate👍
can you please upload more footage from Boonie Doon or lake Eildon please! Theres not enough, it looks amazing! might see you down there one year. beers are on me!
We will be back up there over Christmas 👍
Hey guys where's this year boonie doon video?
Hey, merry Xmas and happy new year. Been a quiet one at Bonnie Doon this year. The weather has been ordinary and we have been relaxing and not doing much 👍👍
Hey guys. Just got back from K'gari and thought we'd have a look where we went. A few changes in a year. Eli Creek came out in a different direction and the Maheno was much less covered in sand. Interesting. Nice vid.
Gday mate, Fraser is such a great place to visit and the sand is constantly changing. The Maheno has almost gone now compared to when we first seen it years ago.😂
Hello love your content, hey did you get a permit for your fire on cable beach
Hi Sharon, No, we just went along way up the beach and put it out before we left. Cheers Dale and Tracey
Noice - One Day
Hi Mark, definitely worth the trip to see this area👍
Another great vid , well done . What happened to your 200 series?
Thanks mate. We sold the 200 whilst we were in Broome last year. We are currently building a 300 tourer but things, being bulbar, drawers, auto elec work etc seem to take forever😂
Do you get worried leaving the van in isolation like that?
Gday mate, definitely do worry. We don’t do it very often and are very careful where we leave it, also take all our valuables with us. It is insured after all👍 Enjoyed the show yesterday to. Cheers
@Adamsfamilytravels the show was great fun. I look forward to The rest of the episodes
So do we👍
Enjoyed this video so much I just subscribed. Beautiful country you're exploring. Did you say happy 50th to Tracy? I would have guessed more like 35! What the ....
Thanks Jason, we love getting out and about. 35……. Stop it.
Great video. Recently (July) did the same locations in our Territory Van , much more water about, but beautiful campsites at Coongan Long Pool and Carawine. We also took Skull Springs to Nullagine track and it was rough and slow, so need to allow plenty of time.
Hi John, yeh we loved it out there. So much to see and do but you do need to be careful on the ordinary roads.
noice vid. would be good if ya could overlay the Wikicamps locations in ya travels ??
Hi Mark, sounds like a great idea. Probably need to overlay the Camps Australia locations given that we are ambassadors for them.😂
Excited to see a new video from you
Thanks Belinda, it’s good to back at it after our 6 month break.
What size is your biji
Hi Massey, ours is a large without the hole in the middle as we sometimes use it on our portable gas cooker.
Glad to see your back on the road
Very nice. Thank you sir
What time of year were you at steep point, please?
Hi,, we were there early October Cheers Dale
I watched the ads
Any other videos coming out ?
Bit slow I know!!! Will have our trip from Broome, down through Marble Bar and some awesome gorges, out soon.
@@Adamsfamilytravels Marble Bar wow, that would be very hot
Hey folks, this is a really great vid. Any chance you could send some pics on how you mounted the Stone Stomper brackets to the front of the van. The 'Terry doesn't have a cross member at the front of the chassis like a lot of other vans do. Did you drill through front boot and bolt it?
Hi Adrian, just seen your question. Currently away with family but when I get home to the van in a couple of weeks I can get a couple of photos for you. I screwed the brackets underside of the boot, siliconed them well and never had any problems. There is a void between the false floor in the boot and the floor of the van from memory. Hope this helps Dale and Tracey

Most enjoyable guys, keep up the good work. 👍🥂🍺
Thanks Michael🍻
Happy birthday! Absolutely love the clock - would look perfect in our coastal house... ;)
Thanks, if you want details of who made it, let us know.
Happy Birthday everyone, it sounds like a few big nights were had 🎂🍻. Love Broome it’s a beautiful place especially cable beach once you get past all the naked wrinkleys 🙈.
Thanks Dave, we love Broome and Cable Beach and thankfully most(not all)of the noodies hide on the dunes during tourist season.
Hi Guys. Loved this video. Happy birthday Tracy and Emily. Looks like you all had a terrific time.🥂🍾🎂
Thanks Michael, we had a great couple of weeks🍻
What size Territory is that, and what are the states, eg ATM, Tare etc. thanx.
Hi Ian, sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Ours is a 20 foot 6. ATM 3700 tare is 2840 and ball load is stated at 174. When we travel is the van is about 3100 with 300 ball weight. Hope this helps Dale
We flew into Mitchell Falls by chopper - spectacular flight - and walked out. We loved Honeymoon Bay
Cheers Robert, we can’t wait to go back up there👍🍻
Hi there, we would like to do this next year can I ask where you left your van in the derby?
Hi Louise, we left our van at Birdwood Downs Station. It’s approx 20 ks up the Gibb River rd from Derby, all asphalt. Great station stay and very safe. $6 per night storage. Cheers Dale and Tracey
Noice Trail and walks....

Thanks Andy👍
Hi guys - just discovered your channel - great advice! Thanks and safe travels.
Thought I’d have a UA-cam night Nice to meet you both !!
Thanks Robyn, hope you enjoy. Cheers Dale and Tracey🍻
How many sites were FREECAMP? do you book sites ONLINE ??
There are no free camps on Fraser, all of our campsites were booked online through parks QLD. There are a few private campsites and houses etc
Noice.
Great that you had some good weather at the end!
Yeh the sun come out for the second half of our time over there. Makes a big difference 👍
Yeyeyyeyeyryehhehhehegheheheeu
Thanks for the tips, both this outside video and the one for inside the van. Excellent ideas, which we will be stealing.
No worries, glad we could help👍🍻
Hi gang just a question on fuel, how heavy is the van and how many litres to 100ks thanks.
Hi Phil, our van is about 3400kg vx and we use approx 23lt per 100k’s Cheers Dale
What was the bathroom door holder/latch called?
Great set up. Love the “no nonsense keep it simple” show and tell ☺️Thanks for sharing.
Thanks🍻
