Hi Gerard, after a lot of research I found Itech one of the only companies that would warrant their batteries in the engine bay. Turns out they now suggest heat shield be wrapped around it.Anyone with a 200 series that tours, will tell you the axillary battery is better off under the bonnet than taking up space in the back. I still run a dcdc, the only way to go when you run permanent solar. Thanks for the feedback Dale

Mate lithium hate engine bay heat. No matter what the manufacturers say. Auxiliary battery underneath the bonnet is old school. The days before dcdc.
