Kinda sad you wasted well over 50k on a car just to have less horse power then a 1st gen coyote 😂😂😂 keep crying, it’s not gonna bring the Camaro back into production, there’s a reason why they haven’t discontinued the 5.0
@@iliketoast3557 I own a Mustang too lol
@@ChrisFromFloriduh and you bought a Camaro 💀 you huffing that grape galaxy gas?
@@iliketoast3557 I like both 🤷♂️ Camaro is a better track car and the Mustang is a better cruiser.
I just picked up a 17 2SS convertible with performance package A8 I really wanted a manual but the manuals were either high miles or beat to hell with barely any service records. While the car I chose barely has 60k miles and 18 service records from Chevy dealerships so it was a no brainer 🤷🏾 hopefully in a couple years I can pick up a decent used manual ZL1 for a reasonable price if not I can always supercharge my 2ss
@@RandySoWavvy congrats! Yeah, the unfortunate reality of sports cars as they get old is people abuse them and don’t take care of em. I’d just get a ZL1. Designed with GM engineers with less guess work on the DIY part. Usually ZL1s are better taken care of because of their price compared to the SS which is way more affordable. And thus people take care of em like garbage.
Just switched to them from the stock Goodyear ROFs. Ride quality in a 2018 Camaro 2SS is substantially better. Better grip, better on rough surfaces and bumps.
I bought 2 sets about a year ago for my Audi S5 and my wife’s Hyundai Elantra and have no regrets. It’s the best all-around tire IMO and it’s cheaper than some of the competition like Michelin and Pirelli.
Just a little bit of constructive feedback here. Good content but the hand waving around in front of the camera is somewhat distracting.
Is it quieter than michelin a/s4?
@@DessikaModus from what I was told, yes quieter but less direct feel from the road. We are talking splitting hairs though. Both are great.
@@ChrisFromFloriduh for about $60 less per tire I'll take the contis
Is this a cat back or axle back system? Also, have you heard a 3.6 with just the Atak for comparison? I'm having trouble deciding between the two and it's hard to tell online, they sound pretty similar in videos. I want it to be louder than stock but I don't want turn every head when i start it or drive down the street. I agree with you though, I'd prefer a deeper sound over a raspy or screamy sound. Also, would quad tips really sound much different than dual tips? I was looking at the dual tip options.
@@bradb9504 axle! The ATAK is louder with more rasp. It is REALLY hard to tell with video compression. Has a bit more burbles from my research. I kinda wish I got them instead somedays but then I also really like the game sound of this system lol. I’m not sure about the dual/quad tip sound differences but it really depends on your tastes in my opinion. I like the quad outlet design even though I’m not a huge fan of the Borla tips. I would assume the quad system would be SLIGHTLY louder in my opinion. As the dual system would only have the muffled path. The quad system (even without the valves has a loud and muffled path). You can reach out to Borla! They are really easy to talk to about this. Also, do not do any resonator delete with the 3.6. It sounds like crap.
@@ChrisFromFloriduh thanks for the info! That's a good idea, maybe I'll reach out to them. I guess my biggest question is, I like the stock sound inside the cabin just fine, but when bumpy roads cause a lot of road noise i really can't hear the engine over it. Can you always hear it now with the S type? I want to always hear it but i don't need it to be crazy loud. And yeah, I see a lot of people online swapping the resonator with X pipe but I don't really see a reason for it. Beautiful color btw!
@@bradb9504 thank you! Yep! You can definitely hear it if you go from a stock dual system to the Borla S Type. I’d say the S Type is as loud as the stock NPP (performance exhaust) but deeper on the low end. It’s really hard to explain but you KNOW it’s there but it’s not obnoxious as long as you keep the rest as factory.
@@ChrisFromFloriduh thanks for the help!
TRUMP 2024!
Just don't vote Democrat. I'm in California and I hate gas guzzler tax, high gas prices and ev mandate. They killed the camaro and challenger.
All American companies have given up on sedans and wagons. The Fusion was a good looking car, and the wagon version (common in Europe) is beautiful. Ford used to lead the sedan market with the Taurus, until they went ugly in 96. Trucks and SUVs are not for everyone. My son and I drive Japanese cars, my soon to be driving younger son will also likely get a Japanese car. Detroit no longer gives us any options.
Mary Barra needs to go and so does Jim Farley at Ford.
Ford needs to dump Eco-Boost engines. Nothing but trouble.
Anything that has Eco anything in the name is crap.
Most car companies: We're going to abandon our ev projects Gm: We're going all in (Bankrupt in 4 years)
FORD NEEDS TO TAKE A COUPLE MORE BILLIONS FROM GOV......
Ford was the only US car company to refuse federal bailout $.
Similar sentiments. When every one of my friends talk about the Soulless M4, I tell them why not buy an EV lol. Drag racing with Autos is a spec race.
Mary T Barra CEO AND Chairman of the Board of GM Made the Decision in 2018 to make her Legacy Zero emissions and created the New division called Cruise She cannot be over-ruled or replaced since she hand picked the Board!!!! 👏👏👏👏
@14:24 they responded! they have a video I missed it because I’m an idiot 🤣
They were the right choice for my w209. Great performance. And they produce lots of smoke
6’ to be able to see out of a car? Yeah it’s garbage. I’m a mechanic, I have driven more than 300 of these junkers in the past year. My claim stands as proof they don’t design it, they just sell it.
Sounds like you need glasses bro.
Great info thanks

So which one is the best??? And why the heck doesn’t GM fix these known issues no wonder why they’re so cheap. I saw one for under $18,000 with 35,000 miles on it yellow color,
@@Tom-v7i Reliability bests 1. 2019-2021 (before covid because of bad lifters). 2. 2017-2018. (A8 would be the failure point of these cars and trunk leaking). 3. 2022 (ish) - 2024. (After covid).
Two year 7000 miles😂😅. one year 20,000 miles😊 drive your car people in the end we don’t take nothing with us
@@Straightarrow213 I know hahah but I work from home 😅
I was lucky enough to have my convertible top covers break while under warranty. they are very fragile. Dont let your kids, girlfriend, or anyone else try to set on the side of the car with the top down. I've seen this and it makes me cringe every time!!
Just got a full set for my 2019 2SS. The good years definitely was a rough ride. I also bought some Falken ze490 when i bought the car as i got it in Alaska and it came with those summer good year tires. I haven’t put them on yet but hopefully I’ll enjoy them.
Been having clunking sounds coming from my 2019 2SS front and back when wheel is tilted hard. Clunking popping sounds, car has less than 3K miles.
So I had a 2014 Chrysler 300 hemi 5.7l with a 5 speed auto (bulletproof I loved that transmission) and now have a camaro rs convertible 2017 white with two tone white interior and it's definitely not slow and has the upgraded exhaust but my 300c would definitely kick you in the as$ more even tho it was much heavier
I’m currently a 4th gen camaro owner and I did have a 5th Gen for a short time. I test drive a 6 th Gen camaro and I liked it but I perfer the 5th Gen Camaro over the 6th Gen Camaro.
Starts to shake or jerk at the end? need a tune so that CAI can calibrate better. 55mm maf sensor to little for that big ass throttle
Good shit man 🙏🏽
useful, thanks.
Have them on my BMW F22 2 series RWD. Drove them all 4 seasons (midwest weather), never slips on rain, even handles snow decently. But tread life isn't as advertised. 9/10.
As a 2024 2SS 1LE owner I can say this ,I tried to get an allocation since 2023 orders opened, I obviously never got a 23 but I did get a 2024 ,It was shameful on GM's part how they handled this. They played a big part in the low sales even pre plandemic 😮
I had no idea there was a refresh until I saw one driving behind me about 2 years ago. I remember going "What the hell is that thing?" and as it drove by me I realized it was a Camaro SS. I actually thought it looked awesome and now I own one, haha.
that whip has some pep to it man, good shit
Miss my 3.6 its been out down since march transmission out. I have borla atak and CAI. need 4k to fix
WAT ABOUT THE 2011 V6 RS WHY YOU LEAVE THAT OUT LOL
Where did you buy your tail lights?
@@lergensellote672 eBay! Got lucky.
Hey Chris! Just curious at what mileage did you have to replace the thermostat at? Also I can’t remember but did you have the A8 shudder issue? So far so good on my 2019. I’m at 21K currently.
@@scottdavis_34 ummmm 44-45k when it appeared and fixed. Yep! In 2018 at around 2k miles I had it. Took a few flushes and a new torque converter under warranty and she’s good!
@@ChrisFromFloriduh wow 2K. Do you know if the 2019 has the new fluid in it by chance?
@@scottdavis_34 ummmm, I’d say yes! I noticed a larger difference when I got my torque converter replaced lol
Is this a directional or non-directional tire?
@@MeandMyStaffy I don’t think they are directional.
I need to figure out WHY this videos audio quality completely fell off after uploading it to the site. If yall know, inform me.
Acura, doesn’t, and never had a V8. Correct me if I’m wrong though
@@connordooley you’d be correct, I must have had their (Hondas) BF350 engine on the mind which isn’t for cars, lol.
@@ChrisFromFloriduh yeah, i get that lol. It’s a cool engine from what I’ve heard
I got my 1SS 6MT and it’s the best car I’ve ever owned.
GM doesn't make anything good anymore besides trucks, large SUVs, or corvette. Everyone I know who bought an Cruz or a sedans hates them because they are not reliable. I am buying a Toyota Because I need something that is dependable
I love my 2022 Camaro SS 1LE w/Tremec manual. Came perfect from the factory, I won’t replace anything but the tires. What a steal of a car for under $50k. I believe it's better than the S550 Mach1 with the track package which were MSRP’d at $67k. If you look around you can find 6th Gen SS 1LE’s for sale here and there with low miles. Fantastic buy for the money.
@@CarStory I agree. I’m not gonna be in the market to upgrade until 2027.
It went away because it was over priced
I always said GM should of kept the stingray front engine to make up for the camaro's absence. Then make the higher performance models mid engine and maximize their price tag while still having an affordable option for purists and enthusiasts. I hope the camaro comes back in amuch sleeker and lighter form. Until then, I will hol don to my C7 until the frame rusts and breaks in half.
No no no no no no. If GM made an EV version of the Camaro it would be $67,000 and up. GM is their own worst enemy when it comes to pricing their cars.
Nobody wants an EV camaro.... lol. Ffs GM is putting a 1000hp+ twin turbo V8 in the corvette ZR1.
Oh man! GM just wasn't trying at the end. The Camaro was allowed to die on the vine. For me, the high water mark was the 1969 Camaro Z/28. Chevy kept using the hallowed name and stuck it on Camaro's from the malaise era and that was simply embarrassing. So over time, the Camaro name became irrelevant. Very sad.
Camaros were not selling because no one could find the one they wanted. They were just making the basic models that very few people wanted to buy.
@@rickr9504 this is exactly what I’m saying. People blame blind spots and viability but I’ve personally only heard that excuse a few times asking Chevy dealers and/or car shows, lll. Most people didn’t buy because they couldn’t find what they wanted (I was one of em).
@@ChrisFromFloriduh So was I. I sold my 2018 2SS 1LE because it had an issue GM could not fix, thinking I could jump on a newer one. All the 1LEs lefts were automatic transmission, and the ones that looked like the one I wanted, were marked up and dealers refused to negotiate or even discuss pricing. I kept looking for several years until I gave up. These days, I don't see many that can replace that car. I may have to settle for a used CT4-V Blackwing or used M2, or maybe a used ZL1 if they drop the price.
I wish someone would've made the comparison between the 6th gen Camaro, ATS coupe, and Pontiac GTO. Because I think the ATS coupe's ergonomics is what team Camaro should've shot for, with the GTO's interior space. What we got is a cramped interior with horrible blind spots, a long hood where its hard to see out in front of you. Livability should've been priority #1, design #2. Its why Challenger sold well into 5 and 6th gen Camaro's cycles.
