Yep, those are almost all very common issues with the 3.6L and the A8. The temp gauge malfunctions because of the placement (from my understanding). The Bluetooth one is interesting. I never had that issue but I’m gonna be completely honest, I use CarPlay 1000% of the time. I hope everything gets fixed soon! It’s probably because it’s a BMW dealership, they don’t specialize in Chevrolet.
Same thing happened to mine the issue for mine was the thermostat and the sensor easy and cheap fix but the thermostat sensor on the LGX engine is a hard reach
how do you feel about owning the v6 camaro in ohio? i love here too in central ohio/ dayton and im worried if the snow will be a problwm since it is fairly low in suspension
Great question. I haven’t lived in Ohio in about 4 years, I live in Florida now. But, I had no issues with the stock tires. There’s also snow and ice mode built into the car (6th Gen). I drove it in the winter from 2017 to 2019. I just washed the underside whenever the weather was above 40 degrees. You must do this otherwise you’ll rot out. In the spring, I would do a complete detail. In the fall, complete detail but wax and seal the fender wells. Wax and protect everything. It was a headache but it was worth it because there’s no rust on my car and it’s 6 years old. Even tho the car spent most of its life in Florida.
It’s sucks because the 1le package is gone for 23 which is an amazing package for 5k!! So I’m looking for a 21/22 v6 1le with a stick and whatever trim level i can get but I’d love a 3lt and I’m seeing a few for 30k with under 20k miles which I’m hoping to get by end of august here!!!

I've owned several camaros and a trans am over the years. Two of those were v6's. 86 Berlinetta 2.8 and a 98 camaro 3.8.. The 2 v8's were a 91 rs 305 and formula 305 5.0's.. For the life of me I don't get why Chevy produced a 2.0.. why not produce a v6 with turbo.. Todays v6's that gm puts in the Camaros absolutely would compete with the 80's and 90's 5.0's i've owned. The 98 camaro 3.8 I use to own was a turd compared to the camaro 3.6. The prices today I don't get lol. Haven't had a camaro for 20+ years I'm looking now to get one. I have a few LT1's near me listed for under 40k. V6 models going for nearly 50k lol..
I will be 100% honest. As someone who graduated college and bought a new sports car in their early 20s. It’s fun and all but if you are stretching your budget for a car, please, do not do that unless it’s about 20% of your income. These cars when you are young (I4, V6, and V8) are expensive on insurance. Engine doesn’t matter in my experience, they value all trims as a Camaro and a sports car. They require more maintenance than a normal car. Repairing them and caring for them, isn’t cheap. They are reliable but it’s definitely a car you have to maintain well. Just like any car but nevertheless. If it’s over 20-25% of your average income, I don’t recommend. A car isn’t worth being in debt while building your career. A home is a much better investment. For me, I had a trade, over 20% to put down and well under MSRP (back in 2017). I was able to easily make my monthly payments. I paid mine off early. I’ll make a video in regard to this topic next week.
If you can get a good deal and can afford it I ABSOLUTELY recommend it and in fact, more than the V8. I’m in my late teens and I started with a V6 and I’m VERY glad I did because I would have killed myself in a V8 if I started on it. The V6 has PLENTY of power, way way more than you think it does and that thing will put a smile on your face every time you let it rip. It’s fun, it’s pretty dang fast for what it is and you will catch a lot of people off guard who expect it to be slow and instead you’re barely right behind them. They’re a blast to own and as someone who now has an SS, they’re 100% worth the money (if you can comfortably afford it) and they’re an amazing car to start on because it’ll teach you to have some respect for the throttle
@@RicegumRicebum I’ll try to find a good deal later on this year when I’ve made a good amount of money. I’ve heard good things about the V6 Camaro like it being a fun, affordable entry level sport car and not too bad on gas. The visibility is not that big of a problem that people make it out to be. I’m sure I’ll find a good deal, the American muscle cars like the dodges, Camaros, and Mustangs aren’t usually that expensive on the i4 trims or V6 trims.
@@arcaderazerz Yeah man sounds good. I’d def recommend the V6 over an i4 tho, I drove both and the V6 is MILES better imo. Also, if you can, get a Borla atak axle back with an X pipe on it, trust me that thing will put the biggest smile on your face at 7k rpm lol

as a former V6 2012 mustang, and now currently owning a 2016 camaro 2ss, buying a v6 is a generally a waste of money. A V6 could be enjoyable at first but ultimately it will never come close to how a V8 feels. nonetheless to each to his own and if you're enjoying the V6's thats totally respectable.
I was going to purchase a 2024 2SS but prices of used and new 6th gen’s are ridiculous. So I’m gonna snag a pavement princess C7 down the line. Corvette is better imo. I’ll probably keep my 6th Gen, it’s paid off with only 40k miles, lol.
While ive had a few 3.6 v6's it is the absolute worst and most unreliable engine gm has ever made, theuve been nothing bjt an absolute nightmare ranging from rod knock, timing chain guides literally falling out under 50k miles, they make decent power but any modifications other than intake is rolling the dice on how long itll last, not good on gas whatsoever unless you have tall highway gears but then youre pulling a 5 second 0-60 AT BEST..if youre getting for a project car your best bet is to swap with an ls and save the money on insurance
5 seconds 0-60 is quicker than most cars on the street, lol. Im flirting with the idea of a C8 Vette tbh, GM wants too much for the 24 Camaros. Even with my GM discount. 2.7 seconds 0-60 looking good, lol.

While I--would not think any Dealership would give a damn--sell it, sell it--and that's all, IMO.
Same thing happened to mine the issue for mine was the thermostat and the sensor easy and cheap fix but the thermostat sensor on the LGX engine is a hard reach
Always take to indie inspection,no matter what. if they do not allow you, say see ya.

how do you feel about owning the v6 camaro in ohio? i love here too in central ohio/ dayton and im worried if the snow will be a problwm since it is fairly low in suspension
Great question. I haven’t lived in Ohio in about 4 years, I live in Florida now.
But,
I had no issues with the stock tires.
Whooopp! I wanted the 1LE but I wanted a 50th year car and I was at the end of the model year. My options were limited back then lol.
@@ChrisFromFloriduhI’m want to get one but everyone keeps talking about the blind spots 🤦🏽♂️
@@prince2178 I have a video on this, lol. Camaros have a smaller greenhouse, yes. Are they impossible to drive and unsafe? No.
You have trade visibility for the styling. After 6 years, I don’t think it’s that bad.

@@prince2178Once you get use to the Car it's not bad at all, Yes going from something with bigger windows and Thinner A Pillars to the Camaro is a Learning curve but it's not as bad as it sounds
What’s a good pro charger you can recommend
Tracy Lewis Performance, here in FL. The personnel that I see floating around the Facebook groups.
Unfortunately, cars are so overpriced :/
You need to get an Overkill Supercharger from Tracy Lewis
Would you recommend this to teens that want to buy a sports car for their first car?
Thank you----insurance rates?

Did GM ever fix that timing chain issue on the 3.6. seen those grenade at 100k miles with proper maintenance. Minewhile my old sbc got 200000 and counting with shit maintenance.
They definitely improved it. Still need to change oil every 5k miles.

WAT ABOUT THE 2011 V6 RS WHY YOU LEAVE THAT OUT LOL
as a former V6 2012 mustang, and now currently owning a 2016 camaro 2ss, buying a v6 is a generally a waste of money.
Muffler delete is the only way to go!
i have an lfx camaro and it sounds like a vq haha i hate it
Good first car for a teen ?
It COULD be. 335 crank horsepower is still decent. Insurance isn’t the cheapest.

No such thing as muscle in 2023. Muscle cars have been dead (in Chevys lineup) since 1990.
Real car guys do not buy V6 sports cars! Camaros, Mustangs, Challengers & Chargers are meant to be V8! And the coupe are meant to be manual! I would trade my 2023 ZL1 1LE for anything.
