😂I would never agree with an absolute statement such as - don’t believe kids period, got it. - that is a bizarre thing to say as situations are subjective however Sex is science and chromosomal.

@@mompreneurmentor Well, MW was saying that because a kid can't tell the difference between reality and fantasy, we shouldn't trust them when they express any form of gender dysphoria. I was merely saying that, actually, we believe kids all the time when they tell us something, because of course kids CAN tell the difference between reality and fantasy, they are just more susceptible to believing in fantasy and of course it depends on the subject matter, context, etc. I agree that sex is science and chromosomal, I don't think even trans people would disagree with you. I'm pretty sure trans people are aware of their own chromosomes, what body they were born into, etc. The issue is that, rare as it is, some people have this mismatch between their mind/self-perception and their body, and it causes them great discomfort/emotional pain. Obviously some are just looking for attention, but for others, the only relief seems to come from transitioning, which is an intensely personal thing that is different for everyone. So to me, the question becomes: How do I react? How do I treat these people? They already have it hard just by having this dysphoria. The social stigma, mockery, out casting, and bullying is extra. So I don't want to add to it. Instead I want to be supportive and welcoming. Anyway, sorry for the book. And major props/kudos to you for being respectful/liking my comment despite me being snarky at first. I'm sorry about that.

Of course… this is well written and I agree and affirm this. Thank you for the response. If you watch the whole documentary there’s a prestigious psychiatrist who talks about the gender dysmorphia. I too feel empathy for these individuals-and am unsure how to respond. My concern is when is the appropriate age to know this is of sound mind and judgment if children aren’t fully developed in brain or body and why are parents right being taken away in some places?

@@mompreneurmentor Thank you. I agree that transitioning should never be taken lightly and that the requirements (psychiatric evaluations, etc) should be high. I'd be lying if I said I had zero concern for this. What would you say if a child wanted to transition (would not include any kind of surgery; would be social and maybe hormone blockers). And the parents agreed, and child's medical doctor (after evaluations) agreed, and the child's psychiatrist (after evaluations) agreed as well. Should the child be able to begin transition? Or should this be illegal and the gov't should interfere?

Yes exactly and I've got a lesbian identifying woman who has wanted to pursue taking our friendship to the next level however there is often.. very harsh me moments with her where she compliments my body my beauty and even touches my body parts. Every time someone forces his stuff upon me, I fact check and (based on an estimation from my memory) about 65% of the time (+- 15%) I find either no source matching what he said, a source contrary to what he said, or a source that does lean in the direction of what he said, but not anywhere to the degree in which he makes it seem. How often do you fact check the things you hear? Specifically when someone like Peterson makes exacting claims on reality that are then used to build an argument on
