Hi Mike! :)
Thanks for the comment.
Hi Mike! :)
Thanks for the comment.
Mike, my son died from Covid complications. He was unvaccinated. He should have listened to your advice, and not listened to idiots on the internet.
Sorry for your loss I wrote several long replies to you but they keep getting deleted by UA-cam.
We're a country where you have absolutely no rights when dealing with the grubberments SS revenue raising forces
You have lots of rights, you just need to learn what they are.
I was a bit puzzled when I saw that comment as well. I’ve recently replaced three of mine without any issues. Great video as always!
Thanks for the comment and feedback 👍👍
Robbo ? ....No Cash
Who is Robbo???

Definitely will suck.
Thanks for the update
You're welcome.
Another great video mate, thanks!
Cheers for watching and leaving a comment.
Will this still work if it is taken to an area that has no mobile signal? I have satellite trackers but they cannot report their position back to me without the device itself having access to a mobile signal.
No it works on the mobile network, pretty much anything does.
@@aussie.prepper Okay thanks for getting back to me. I might look into it and give it a go anyway. They might do a better job than what I'm currently using - don't know until I try 👍
Im sure that to turn it off, you hold down until 3 beeps are heard, then release. 1 beep to turn on, 3 beeps to turn off.
You could be correct, I will check that and get back to you. I wish they had something to indicate that it's working, but I guess a little LED light would probably shorten battery life significantly.
Good, solid advice.
Thanks for the comment and feed back.
Thanks Prepper, Great Vid. I would add emergency cash. The chaos factor bit me in the backside, too many times.
Good call!
Barclays bank (in the UK, I think) has been offline for days leaving customers without access to their accounts, the bank is telling customers to ask friends and family for help or go to a food bank. Always have enough to buy a week's worth of basic food as well as get home money.
I would not be carrying money on my person for a weeks worth of food on a day to day basis. You should have a few weeks worth of food at home at an absolute minimum anyway. You should have some cash stored at home as well but that will be another video all together and is in no way related how much cash you should carry in person day to day.
Thanks
No problem
If you're out and about also keep some fuel in your vehicle so that you aren't relying on having to get fuel at the last minute imo. Even a half a tank of fuel will get you a long way in most vehicles and most likely at least to the next place with services. Good luck if you have an EV as they are totally reliant on apps and the network unless you can plug it into a private source.
I always keep my tank full, I top up regularly when on road trips and depending on where I am going I carry a jerry can or two, when I go camping in semi remote areas I carry enough fuel to either get me to the next major town or to get home.
@@aussie.prepper Yeah I tend to keep an eye on my 4wd pretty carefully if away from civilization as it only has a fairly small tank. It isn't normally an issue as I don't do long range remote stuff but fuel is always part of my planning. There's usually 24hr servos just about everywhere now. My Wife's grocery getta is a bit different as it uses very little fuel and doesn't get used much so it seems to last forever.
@@oldbloke204hey mate . Those 24 hour servos aren’t going to help if you’re in a cash only situation 🙂
@ Hi mate Not sure where you got the impression I won't have cash as I always travel with more than enough to cover fuel, a feed and maybe even a bit of accomodation. One thing to consider whilst travelling in this regard is that there are some unmanned fuel places where you have to use a card so if you're relying on one then maybe have a backup plan. I am however hopeless at keeping cash in my wallet as it inevitably gets spent. I was talking about it to my wife yesterday. I consider myself pretty financially switched on but when it comes to keeping a bit of cash on me day to day I'm not so great.
you forgot they have to show a ID CARD...
Not sure who you mean by 'they', police only have to show ID if they are in plain clothes and exercising a police power, when in uniform they do not have to show ID.
@aussie.prepper have to show I'd if requested,regardless.
I always have cash on me usually a mix of smaller denominations and some larger ones. If the grid goes down and the shop runs out of change I don’t want to pay $50 for a bottle of water. 👍🏻🇦🇺
100% and this will be a topic of a future video, many people don'y know how to use cash.
Always carry a 50 locally, $500 when going on motorcycle trips interstate
That makes sense.
Just ran a spreadsheet with a typical real-world 2% bank charge per transaction. After. 40 Transactions there is $22.29 remaing in value. The bank has taken $27.62. Banks must be Laughing at US ALL for being SILLY
Now consider that 2% is very conservative, many charge more. This is the reason they want us to use cards instead of cash.
Good advise thankyou
Thanks for watching and leaving a comment, much appreciated.
$10,,,,, for taxi ride🤔yeah about forty years ago,,,🤔 today just to sit in a taxi is about $15,, around Melbourne,,
That's probably the last time I caught a taxi, I drive my own car.
$350- $450 is the minimum if you have a car just in case you break down . Even Warren buffet the BNair carries atleast $500 on him at all times .
Not sure $350-450 will do much when you're broken down, I would personally to carry that much cash on a day to day basis, but if you feel comfortable with that amount that is all that matters, everyone had different priorities that's why there us no fixed amount, only your amount.
Dont forget, the australian xommomwealth constitution has a sextion that states cash sales must be offered to buyers - it is legal tender. If the seller refuses cash, you can sue them personally, as well as the organisation. Most of the time, the drones behind the counter have no idea about this, or they're more than happy to just give the stuff to you for free to avoid the ramifications. In this case, I'd suggest following through on the suit because it will make more organisations pay attention and revert to cash sales again
The drones behind the counter have no idea about this because your assumption is incorrect , cash being legal tender has nothing to do with businesses having to accept cash, it just means that it CAN be used to pay for stuff and that it CAN be used to pay off debts and that it can not be refused to settle outstanding debts within the legal tender rules and restrictions. Any business can refuse to deal in cash and many do and there is nothing you or anyone else can do about it.
@aussie.prepper so following that line, cash isn't legal tender
@aussie.prepper if it's not legal tender, then what is it?
This is completely incorrect.
@aussie.prepper my response seems to be getting deleted, so I'll try something else again - how is legal tender legally refused?
I pay everything with cash, if someone can do without it I can do without their services, use it or lose it
Seems like a good policy to have.
There's a bakery in a town not far from me that I still won't go to anymore because they wouldn't accept my cash during "that" period of our stupid history. Twice I've met her on the street by chance and she's asked why she never sees me anymore. I always say, "Because you don't accept cash". Then she happily tells me that she does again now. I say "Oh okay." The exact same exchange will happen again next time I happen to see her.
@ love this story, I bet it still has not sunk into her head that people remember how they were treated.
Good advice. I also like to carry twice the amount I'd use to feed meself in case I run into a friend and I can spring for a souva or a burger and a coke if necessary. And I keep a lucky $20 folded up in a pocket of my wallet for emergencies. Cheers
Thats the way to go.
Hi Mike! Good advice.
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for the comment.
i live in a small town i can walk
As long as you never leave town I guess.
Thanks mate

@@aussie.prepper keep up with the awesome work, it's really appreciated. Stay authentic and we'll stay tuned in. Thanks again
You should look into Bitcoin mate, it's freedom money, money by the people for the people!! Bitcoin is hope!! Bitcoin can't be confiscated by Govts, you don't need a third-party wanka banker to be able to transact between Bitcoin users, the ledger can't be changed by anyone and final settlement is instant!! For the first time in history we've finally found perfect money!! It's never happened before!! Gold came close, but it's hard to divide, hard to move around and the Govt and banks seized it 1971. Now it's a manipulated scam just like the stock market!! Have a look at it mate, it's a real rabbit hole. Cheers

Great videos! Glad Lisa told us about your channel!
Thanks for watching and leaving a comment.
Digital just means control & slavery.
Yep
I have never thought about it that way but whenever I have travelled I would always keep a cash stash as a back up for the shit happens situations. I also pay for lotto and beer in cash as it is a good way to keep a track of how much you spend. Keep cash moving as it will be missed when it is gone. Excellent video mate keep them coming.
I agree with everything you say I have always had an 'emergency stash' of cash.
Being a prepper from way back, whenever I'm out anywhere the scenario of Getting Home is always on my mind. Yes cash is definitely a consideration and you should ideally have as much as you need to accomplish whatever you are doing while you're out and of course to get you home again.
100% agree, I learned this a long time ago.
If I'm several days away from home, I'm not going to be carrying the cash I need to get home in my pocket. I'll carry enough to cover two days of expenses and that's about it. If the banking system fails so badly that I can't withdraw my money to get home after two full days, then there's bigger problems to deal with than that. I do suggest that if you are far from home and using public transport, then try to buy a round trip ticket. That's valuable to you, but it's less likely to inspire theft than carrying a lot of cash around.
Round ticket is handy but it would not change my rule of having enough cash to get home and feed myself. Not sure what the bigger problems would be and if you have the cash those bigger problems probably wouldn't be bigger problems.
If the worlds ending all you need is a bottle of Jack Daniels. Cheers mate love the show and the info.
You make a valid point, I would go with Wild Turkey.
id go Makers mark ... but if the shtf i will swap U that bottle of Jack for a pack of 20ciggies ... lol I think keeping a heap of smaller denomination notes as a back up is a great idea .. if U r travelling and the Net goes down they won't be able to open the cash register as the system will be down so have small notes to pay . Also a small hand pump with hose for getting fuel is illegal but if the shtf very uselful
@@jimbrien1112 definitely keep smaller denominations so you can pay the correct amount without requiring change.
Used to go out & shove $20 into my sock - knowing I could get home in a taxi. Now I would suggest it be $50 in each sock. I used to keep $100 in my car for emergencies & this once helped a neighbour at a Servo. Now $100 will not get you much petrol in your car but it may help a bit to get you home.
I remember my mum giving me a couple of $ and some 10 cent pieces for the pay phone (before mobile phones existed) so I could get a bus home or call home when I was a child.
@@aussie.prepper I used to keep $2 in my wallet just to pay a parking meter if I was visiting a client. I still stick a $50.00 note in my mobile phone case just for those emergencies on hand.
I live in rural Australia. If I go to the nearest significantly sized town and my car breaks down there, a taxi home will cost around $150. And the cab driver will usually ask to be paid by electronic transfer rather than cash for that amount. If I take a train, it will cost less than $10, but I'll usually have to wait many hours (sometimes overnight) before the next train home is scheduled. And I'll usually have to pay by card for the ticket as an online order. Having a lot of cash on hand isn't a big benefit to me.
Being a Scotsman, l hate spending money...😂 All jokes aside, yes, you're right, if you travel afar from home, you will need to carry enough cash to keep you fed and to get home. Good advice.
Thanks for the comment and feed back, I don't like spending money either, I always chase the specials and the best deals for what I need.
@@aussie.prepper Too right mate, same with me.
Plod Covering Plod ,
Seems that way.
30 transactions later, your $50 is still $50. Minus any GST. And minus the cost of goods sold. And minus the cost of wages, insurance etc. The point being, bank fees usually aren't the only fees that apply to a transaction, and often they're small compared to those other fees.
Bank fees is where most of it goes, a $50 note will always be a $50 note. The money you transfer does not even exist. Consider the fact that the money owing to the banks in loans can never ever be paid off as there is not enough money in the world to repay all loans. If everyone went to the bank and took their money out there would not be enough money to cover everyone's account balance as the money simply does not exist.
@@aussie.prepper Let's say you pay $50 in cash to a seller in Australia. The seller gets that $50 but has to pay $4.55 in GST. Let's say you purchased a physical good that cost the seller $20 to aquire. So the final amount of that $50 the seller really gets (profit) is $25.45, not $50. That's before I factor in overheads like wages for employees, rent, insurance, company and income tax, advertising and other costs of doing business. Now let's assume that it was a card sale and there's a card processing fee involved. Where I work, we use Square, and their fee is 1.6% of the purchase price, or 80 cents. That's not "most" of the money by my maths. As for the money not existing, it could. Governments can print as much as they want and at scale it doesn't cost much. One of the reasons they don't is because having that much cash money would lead to inflation. That $50 would still be $50, but it would buy a whole lot less. If it gets bad enough, you might pay millions for daily necessities (just ask the Zimbabweans). Which is the key point - the money (whether it's physical or digital currency) is much less important than the things it can buy. And during times of high inflation, it's better to be asset rich than currency rich.
Its all political.
100%, we still have not heard the outcome
I was stopped by 2 railway police officers and told there is a warrant out for my arrest as the police have been looking for me. This was before they even asked me for my information and could confirm i was the person they were looking for. I then asked why and what did i do? And they told me i ran away from them. I told them i never had any interaction with the police at all in any time this year. They then told me i was resisting and they handcuffed me straight away. I gave them my ID so they could see i wasn't who they were looking for. They then confirmed I wasn't the person they were looking for. But still wouldn't take the cuffs off me and then went thru my records to see if I had any priors. They found information about a dvo on my files. Then they tried looking for somthing else to get me on. They failed to see I was a victim in the dvo not a suspect. They then let me go. I was falsely arrested. Should I and can i do something about this?
When they placed you in handcuffs you were definitely not free to leave, not being free to leave in Australia means you are under arrest. I would be seeking advice from a civil rights lawyer that specialises in this But I feel you have a claim that is definitely worth investigation. Hope you have the names of the officers involved.
Is it a hidrance to police if i were to stand and watch them question a member of the public?? I witnessed police questioning 3 kids aged 12. I did not speak to the officers at all. I told the children not to answer the police questions without a parent or guardian present. The police then told me to fuck off otherwise id be arrested for hindrance. Any advice??
There is a big difference between standing and watch them question a member of the public and getting involved in the questioning and interfering with what they are doing.
