I know you get these comments all the time, but I just have to say with the absolute most sincerity “thank you.” Last night, after another long night of countless internet searches that might cure my hair loss; I stumbled across your hair loss story UA-cam video. I was laying in bed, watching your video, desperately searching for answers. My eyes were glued to the my phone screen; I couldn’t believe my eyes. I am watching this beautiful, confident, woman with full gorgeous hair, talk about her hair loss journey. My immediate thought was “Thank GOD there has to be a cure! Look at her hair!” When your video ended, I was in absolute shock. I laid in bed speechless as tears started to well up, but I wasn’t sad. I actually felt a humongous weight off my shoulders. I couldn’t believe I found something better than some “miracle cure” and it was your UA-cam video. You showed me accepting hair loss is possible. If I can reach that level of acceptance too, then that’s better than any “miracle cure.” I have watched countless of hair loss videos. I could never find a woman whose hair also started thinning at such a young age, and thinning in the same pattern as me! I also have female pattern baldness. I relate so much to your hair loss story on so many levels. Your authenticity and transparency throughout your video was so inspiring. I grew up with undiagnosed anxiety, depression, and ADHD; some days I felt like I didn’t even know how to function like a “normal person”. This lead me to be quite the over-thinker. I am 23 years old, but at the age of 18/19 I had visibly noticed my hair thinning out. When I had first noticed the hair loss, I was trying every method, growth technique, and googling EVERYTHING trying to get my hair to grow back. During this time, I got into a relationship at 19 yrs. This toxic relationship lead to an immense amount of stress and trauma; I would go through quite a bit of depression during that time in my life. I feel these major depression episodes, contributed to start of my hair loss at such an early age. At the age of 22, I had finally called out my on again off again relationship. Since then I have been taking my time with trying to truly love myself, and learn who I am before I let another guy into my life. With that being said I was ready to start tackling my hair loss journey again; find some answers and make some appointments. I finally got the courage to take control of my hair and go see my doctor just to be told “I’m over reacting, it’s not as bad as you think.” I was CRUSHED; I felt so weak. I was being so vulnerable and opening up. In turn my doctor just takes a big, for the lack of a better word, SHIT on me. I was so unbelievably mentally and physically exhausted. Then everybody’s a critic; I too was also faced with the same unsolicited advice everyone and their mother wanted to give me. They’d say “you’re stressing too much and in turn making your hair fall out” or “you’re not using the right shampoo” or “you just have a part in your hair” I guess everyone else knew how to solve my hair problems, it was a “greeeat” feeling. Shortly after the doctor appointment incident, it was just down hill from there. I had gotten a new job. At my old job I used to be able to conceal my hair with use hats, bandannas, beanies (etc.) Now I’ve transitioned into a job, I’d like to make a career out of; it’s a corporate-office environment. What should’ve been an exciting new job quickly turned into a nightmare. I had also used minoxidil when I work at my old job because I could hide my hair; it did make my hair grow a bit “thicker” towards my crown. However whenever I started my new job, I stopped using it. Now, present day, I’m 8 months into my new job and any hair that I had grown has fallen out. I can’t wear hats; I’m forced to try to style my hair in a professional manner; I am becoming late to work because it takes me forever to get ready….the list goes on and on. These past 8 months have been some of the HARDEST months I’ve had to face in a while. My hair loss is affecting my mental health, my work performance, my physical health, and my overall quality of life. I have been really leaning into the “give up” mindset; what’s the point of trying anymore. I’d wake up feeling like a scalp in a pant suit. I’d end each of my days the same way I’d start them out, by crying; I wouldn’t want to go to work, socialize with friends, or go to the gym. I found myself sulking in my own pity party and I could NOT find a way out; until last night. Last night i finally found hope. You showcased amazing quality hair toppers; in my opinion, just as equally important, you showcased that hair thinning or hair loss doesn’t mean you can’t live a normal life! To hear you talk about a husband and kids really gives me hope. Due to my hair loss, there have been times where I don’t feel feminine enough or that I don’t deserve to be in a happy relationship. In the back of my mind I didn’t want someone to feel like they were stuck with me. I cannot express how much you saved me. I know this may just seem like words on a screen, but you are an absolute inspiration to me. I want to actually LIVE my life; I am so excited to try some hair toppers! I will say my jaw hit the floor when I saw some of the prices, so I’ll just have to risk it and do some trial and error with these brands over quite a bit of time. Hopefully as awareness continues to spread, the prices of hair toppers and other products will start to drop. All that matters is that you have given not only me, but thousands of other women hope and that’s priceless. I just want to say if you’ve taken the time to read this comment thank you; do not feel obligated to respond back. I can’t imagine how busy you must be. I hope you and your family have a blessed night. I’m sorry for rambling, your channel just really spoke to me. I hope I can be half as courageous as you someday.❤️🫶🏻

I had to remove my topper in airport security before, I was so embarrassed! I then had to put it back on with no mirror or hairbrush, nothing! The worst part was the female security guard called all these other security guards over to show them, she was so loud! She was talking so loud, saying, can you believe this? I became a spectacle! I reported it to the company and I never heard anything back from them.

I don't even need a topper but I wear them because Isave so much time getting ready to go out. What used to take me an hour now takes 5 minutes. The older you get, the less time you have to waste. ;)

I purchased this piece 4 months ago. The first two times I washed it the strong smell of permanent was there and it won't hold a curl. I complained to Uniwigs but they denied putting a permanent on it. It drys straight never wavy. I've made the piece work but not happy.

I wish someone would have told me 20 years ago that losing a large amount of hair is not normal.

Love the topper. What brand is it? I told my friends at work that I’m going to wear a topper. I’m nervous because I don’t know how people will react. I’m using minoxidil? But my dermatologist says it will take 3/6 months to start growing. I just want it to look natural

I totally agree with this! I've stopped going places or wanting to see people because of my thinning hair and it's really depressing if nothing else. I hate the way I look and it's just horrible to think that my hair is doing this. I just ordered a hair topper today and am really looking forward to it; I tried on quite a few and found the one that fit and felt the best and will be able to get it styled to suit me or have it thinned out or whatever I need. Found a great place to do that with and they're so helpful. These groups can only help those of us that have this problem. Thanks for having the group! (from Sandi)
