Thank you from the UK, saved me £30
Пожалуйста подскажите тип датчиков температуры для этих плат. Спасибо
Would it be possible to repair such a unit by replacing the built in power supply with an external generic 12V (or 20V or whichever voltage it needs) switch mode wall wart type power adapter?
Wow, thats an excessive amount of cross :) btw. I just repaired a DCX2496 with missing 8.5 V (9 V), the HER303 diode was faulty
Hello mate, can you tell me the value of the R11 resistance? I’ve a similar charger to repair and it have that particular resistance burned out. I’ll be grateful.
Thank you very much. Saved me £15
FYI: 110 volt is not just the US, but also Canada and Mexico. In other words, it's the standard of about 500,000,000 people.
Where is the fuse?
great video sorry what is the value of the resistance before the coil you repaired, thanks for the help, it broke and I lost it?? thanks for your help
Great video. I experienced an issue with the charger. After disabling and testing I found no issues. Reassembled, plugged in and now it’s working. I’m dumbfounded. Any thoughts? Thanks
Vous pouvez m'envoyer le chemat pour connecter à lenergizer
thank u
Still nothing as shiny as a Fluke 77 I saw from the council electricians, who tried to use it to measure the primary of a LV distribution transformer. Seems 11kV was a little too much for the 600V rated meter, which still was in one piece, though there was not a single trace left on the lower side of the board below the display, all the copper had been evaporated off the traces, and deposited as a nice shiny film on the case. Just the component leads and the solder bumps, with green silkscreen removed where the traces had been underneath. Incidentally the PTC thermistors they use are normally nominally 4k7, so a 4k7 resistor normally will work as a test, as often the units also have shorted probe detection in the more complex units, which use a quad comparator, so will trip off if the probe resistance is outside the range of roughly 2k to 8k, which conveniently means they also work with NTC probes as well, though the PTC units do have a much better temperature trip point, as when they reach the critical temperature resistance goes from around 6k, to over 50k, over around 5C of range. Guess you will be doing a similar fix on the PLC, though I solved a dead relay (wore out at a young age, only 20k operations) by simply using the programming keypad, and moving it to the next output, as that was free, and a lot faster than removing the PLC from the hole it was buried in. Still had to drive 2 times to borrow the keypad and return it, but faster than trying to take an Omron PLC apart to get to those relay boards, buried in the top of the package.
Yes remotes suffer abuse, plus you alwys get leaky batteries leaving a present for you.
New year First COMMENT
Need to get new Uni T probe set when you drive to Dirtbin again..... They are quite nice, and cheap but good quality, and survive well.
Hi Sean, I recorded this video a few months ago. I have since replaced the probes with ones from one of my other testers that went faulty.
TOPswitch devices do kill themselves, often due to loadshedding surges, but generally the secondary side will be perfectly fine, though the input side you will find the power supply diodes are generally shorted, and the input fuse (whatever used, from fusible resistor to fusible track) is blown. Change topswitch and diodes, and new fuse, and they do work again. Also do change the small primary side capacitor, it will likely be on it's last legs anyway. Always worth chucking in a small 275V MOV after the fuse and inrush limiting resistor though, it helps kill spikes, and large ones just gently blow the fuse, making a fast repair. R5 fuse and fix, opposed to the R100 TOPswitch.
hi, thanks for the video... how do you find the quality of the hybrid lights compared to say a similarly priced Beamz unit for example? Also do you see much risk of buying demo stock of moving head lights from one of the big lighting stores in SA?
Brilliant, now I just wish you were here so I could ask you to fix mine here in Canada!
I have one that works until the power trigger is pulled in quite far then it cuts out. Not sure what it causing that.
Thank you for the video How to reset the GSWITCH0V4 password
Great video
Hi, your video is very helpful, I know that my eeprom is bad, is it possible to get the file for the new eeprom? Does it store anything in it by default or should it just work with new blank eeprom?
❤
Can a small charger be used for a 36v battery?
Hi. Please can you assist me with pictures of the manual that indicate adding and removing of tags. I'd really appreciate as i need to add/removes tags for BC.
Change the switching transistor and the 47uf 400v capacitor but still no power. Only improvement is where as it was chopping the fuse now it's not.
does a normal 3 to 5 pin converter cable also work?
Mine turns on and just shows thr splash screen, is there something wrong with it? No buttons do anything but if I hold the bottom left mute button when powering on it does say update in progress?
Hello Friend I installed Electric fence for a client, using merlin 28s Enegizer, after light went out and came back, the Zone one (FENCE 1) alarm would not stop blowing, and I have check all cable connections and every connection is perfect. yet fence 1 alarm will not stop blowing, please can you kindly help me out with a solution to solve this.
Please share diagram
I just fixed my charger exact same problem, thanks
Well, shopping online I see at Makro, and Defy is R 4500, though the black finished is R4800. Guess the wife will be making you take a trip up the coast to do some retail therapy soon....
Defy, despite being close to both of us in Wentworth, probably, in their proud tradition they have no stock of the board either. Yes those leads are junk, still offer for better is open when you are in the vicinity.
Those are crappy probes, best to get some new ones when you next take the trip up north... Got some nice Uni T ones recently they are a lot better.
I had a decent set, that I was using with my MajorTech multimeter, but since I moved house in the middle of 2022 it is missing, I have been through all my boxes multiple times, and cannot find that Multimeter and probes. So I just picked up a cheap ZAR R99 tester from a local Chinese 'mall' to get me going until I can find the other.
@@ShoutingElectronics well when you are in Dirtbin give us a call, I have a spare set.
Anyone know where i can purchase a new 2496 pcb? Not handy with a soldering iron and would rather just buy a new one if possible. They seem to be impossible to find though
Why would my Wizard 4 not pulse to the max after PC board and and all internals have been replaced by NEMTEK
Hi, I kindly ask if you happen to have a programmed PIC16C57 in your archive from the Oby 5 moving head motherboard. It was burned and I can't find it anywhere. I would like you to sell it to me if it is possible. I appreciate your time to reply. Best regards, Anito Jelović
Thank you for this video, I got given a brand new drill for free because it was faulty. Following your video i got the drill to work. I cleared all the silicon and disconnected the plug and re-plugged it in and hey presto it works.
If someone wants to see how to fix a dead brushless DeWalt drill, with the brushless driver board troubleshooting details, see here: ua-cam.com/video/G9Is2rokbUQ/v-deo.html.
Hello. I have a question-problem. The “Forward/Lock/Reverse” button on my Dewalt drill is VERY loose and flimsy, floppy. How can I correct, repair this? Is it easy or difficult? Please respond. Thank you so much. I appreciate it.
Yes good job, because those boards are, from a quick look, extremely expensive, as in over R8k each. Ice maker of course does need to be cleaned properly, and all the black mould removed from it. Bit of clear lacquer on the triac side of the board and it will work forever, going to guess the fault was the resistor flaming up, from the optocoupler getting dirt on the pins, and flaming up the resistor, and then this arced over the board, driving all the fan current through the gate of the triac. Shorted fan motor normally blows the fuse as the motor blows the winding open, so if somebody just put a new fuse in this would explain the arcing on the holder. Fan motor always benefits from 3 drops of engine oil on each of the bushings, they never come with enough from the factory, and I know from experience those fans both run hot, and also fail unless well lubricated. Take apart, apply oil to the felt, and put back together is easier when new, and the plastic parts are not crumbling, along with the insulation. Good source for those optical couplers is to grab old split AC inside control boards, they normally have 2-3 of them there, and the triac, used to control the relays for the fan and compressor. Also good source of the fuse holders as well, though you might just get the 2 clips, the fuse and a clear plastic sleeve instead, but still works. hopefully somebody actually changed the water filters as well, they never get changed, and likely, if like all I have seen, are either missing, or are a mess of brown and black snot. Supposed to be white, but that vanishes in a week, some are so stuck that a new filter complete is the solution.
Nice problem solving video ("boer-maak-'n-plan).
You could have copied code no 7 down to the start, and gotten it to be admin tag that way, and saved all the other programmed tags as well. Then copied the other higher ones down, and filled the last block with FF. Note 64000 bytes is not 64k, that is 65536, as the Arduino IDE will use decimal numbers, unless you specify hex implicitly. But that space is not used here anyway. Likely the reason Centsys discontinued then is they cannot get the PIC microcontrollers any more, and have changed the microcontrollers they use to a different TI part, because of that. Good thing about that is the led display and arcane programming with timed button presses, hand waving, decrypting the odd display characters all went to the new 5 button and LCD display, even if you do need a magnifying glass to see the screen.
See somebody was medieval on the power screws before you. Pity it is 13MHz, I have the 138kHz clone maker from China, which works well to clone the cheap tags. I got the cost back of the kit already making spare tags for my sister, as she needed 2 extra tags, and the BC wanted to charge an arm and leg for them. Clone kit was R100 for the kit with 20 tags, including the SAPO vig.
I have maintenanced my power drill once
Not getting output at terminals 1 and 2.. connected inputs line and Neutral.
Joburg Thunderstorms are incredible.
Super bro.
well done - great work mate
