    RF theft detectors I had to move the new POS CRT to a place 3m away, as the original position was affected by the massive magnetic field.
    Your animal chip, and the ones in the cheap cards, use a 125kHz excitation signal, with a range of around 3m for the anti theft, and 30cm at best for the RFID chips. Anti theft device uses a magnetic strip that saturates in the magnetic field, exciting a harmonic in the absorbed energy, there is no electronics in them, they are totally passive. The deactivator removes a small magnetic field induced into them at the factory so they react in this non linear way, and they then just are strips of nickel alloy.
    The ones in your credit card use a 3 turn coil, wound around the actual gold patch itself, and those are 13MHz, with a range of around 10cm at best. You cannot read the card from further away, no matter how much power you transmit, simply because the card transmits a very weak signal back to the reader, and this falls off really fast with distance, as the antenna is so small and low efficiency in the card.
    Cellular base stations adjust the RF energy of the phones so all phones come in at almost the same signal strength, just above not being able to detect it, so that the base station does not have wild signal strength variations as it switches from one far end device to another is it's operation, as it will then lose the weaker signals. same with transmit power, it is dynamically adjusted so it barely is enough, and relies on error correction both ends to recover the data along with the error rate to keep the power low.
    The data rate is a shared resource, the maximum data rate you get depends how many devices are using that particular antenna and band, and thus with more base stations more data can be transmitted to more devices. As well the antennas are very directional, arranged to make sectors around the base station, and to aim most of the energy at the furtherest point, so nearby devices are not overloaded.

    Will add to the discussion that those RF absorber things you place on the phone actually make things worse, as the phone is now deaf, and has to transmit at higher power to get reception, and that power is right by you.
    As well, if you are against 5G please get rid of your phone, wireless internet and wireless connections to the computer, along with your microwave oven, TV set and any electronic equipment in the house. Those are all a much more powerful source of RF energy than 5G.
    Nice area you chose to isolate Pieter, lovely view, though I think you are having to mow the lawn yourself.
