At the end was a clip from the Halloween show at the Trocadero Theater Philadelphia PA 10/31/98. As a bunch of 19-21 year old kids, we drove down from Vermont to that show.

How credible is this story about origin of the feces? I heard another theory that Peter just hated the first album, and its unknown why he made this a fake live but its how all the songs sounded right in his head. Though, I like this videos idea more. It's just got better and more realistic reason than "he did it just because"

No mention of it being a concept album about killing his wife with a Pick-Mattock?

Per Peter slow deep and hard consists of songs that were left over for carnivore because they needed something to put out there while they TON found their own sound.

You have a good, thoughtful perspective, and I bet you’d come up with great questions. We all love hearing stories from the guys of Type O.

@boneheadedtunes5419 Thank you for this minidoc and for your work to make sure everything is factually correct. I’ve never seen anyone else do this after producing a documentary, so kudos to you! The chanting of “You suck!!” at the end of the video is such a time capsule. It’s good to remember that there are times when people can joke, be sarcastic, and be silly without taking it too seriously.

Type O Negative was “Roadrunner Records” first band to achieve gold/platinum status as well as “October Rust” which went gold as well.

So there is a mistake in the Breaking Barriers' description of Type O Negative? Louie Beato left Carnivore in 89, demo Repulsion was released in 90, so Type O Negative couldn't be formed in August 1988. In his book "Soul on Fire: The Life and Music of Peter Steele" Jeff Wagner names May 3, 1991 as the date when the "Type O Negative" name was pronounced.

Took a few days, but finally got around to watching this. Great video man and also goated Mike Patton edit lol.

I really liked the last Scar the Martyr album when it came out. When they easily could have turned out like Slipknot lite, they established their own sound pretty quickly. Shame that Roadrunner had already become a shell of itself by the time they got started, and that Bonner/Elis didn't stick around. I would have loved to hear a second album. RIP Joey.

I saw them when they toured for Bloody Kisses. In Texas, during August. At one point he took to the Mic to say, "I can't believe I took a shower for this." Nice video.

You do realize Dawnrazor was released in 1987 and was preceded by the Burning the Fields EP? Also Chaocracy was released on Deafening Divinities….

I love the part when you're debunking stuff. I understand him not being a nazi and just wanting to shock, but there's literally an interview of him saying the n word here on youtube. Also "Kill All The White People" was a way proving reverse racism, according to his own words. Being straight and having sisters doesn't keep anyone from being sexist. Fortunately, he went back to a few stuff he has said and done in the past.

Peter had a dark sense of humor, problem is most never got to know him enough to realize it. There will never be another band like Type O Negative.

The last time I saw them, we chanted "you suck" but sadly it was for real. Peter was drunk and the band came on late. Half the audience walked out before they finished. I talked to Seventh Void about it later and they explained the sad events that led to that.

Discovered Type O negative recently and their first album was the first one I listened to. pretty fucking intense.

The halloween gig n u suck chants brought me back to seein em at the rave in mlk which always they did a close to or on hallows eve show at.
