I love how when they’re killing the sirens, everything is red. At first it’s just some blood on the siren’s shoulder, but then she’s in a pool of blood, and when they’re killing throw the other sirens into the water, it’s red and t he background is red. Like a bloodbath.

They changed it its a small detail that some might not know

Recently got into the musical and I really love this animatic! Odysseus' expressions in Different Beast really sell that he is fully in control of the situation, and that the siren's desperation and panic is, at most, an inconvenience to him. Amazing work!

Okay so I've been watching a few videos of the same song, a few of the videos depict a baby siren pretending to be the daughter, now in said videos he kills the baby siren too, maybe she assumed that they would succeed in killing all of them but at the same time there's a possibility of defeat, which means that she brought what I assume is her own child, or a child siren now while she assumed they would succeed, there was still like a little percent of half of them are all of a meeting their death like they did, maybe not as brutal but a death

I love that the entire fandom has collectively decided that the sirens deserve some compassion.

The ideia that they are the ones to feast, not literally, but on anger, frustration and hatred, is such a good idea considering they're the beasts or "predators". Oddly enough, I don't feel sorry for the sirens, they definitely deserved it, but what I love it was that he took off the beeswax before the "spare us" part, meaning he resisted the sirens song by sheer hatred alone.

I think your animatic is the only one that actually shows Scylla freeing up the way out of her lair once she has feasted. Which I was missing so much in other interpretations! This is an exchange, the trade has been made, the cost paid, and it makes such a huge impact to see Scylla finalize things with such a clear gesture.

Really shows of the needless brutality of what Ody did the the Sirens: Maiming them and then slowly letting them drown (especially cruel to make the one Siren disguised as Penelope watch, that was definitely intentional on Ody’s part).
