Closing Weekend at Telluride Ski & Driving The Million Dollar Highway
Telluride Colorado has been on our winter camping bucket list since we started! The goal was to find the most beautiful campsite with mountain views, and close to town that we could boondock (dry camp) at.
And boy did Telluride deliver! We ended up finding a nice flat campsite, on a mountaintop! 360 views, and only a 20-minute drive to downtown Telluride.
Telluride is also our last stop on our Epic & Ikon Pass Winter Adventure! It's bittersweet, but closing weekend at the Telluride Ski Resort was a perfect end to our season.
Two days, great conditions, and even a pond skim!
After the ski weekend, we explored downtown at a happy hour & a dive bar before we got in the truck and drove the million-dollar highway from Ouray to Silverton CO! They say it's the Switzerland of America.
Out of all the time we have spent living and traveling in this camper full-time, this is by far one of our favorite stops.
Our rig is a 2023 Grand Design Imagine XLS 22RBE.

Winter RV Living - How to not FREEZE (Yourself or the Tanks)
Переглядів 14 тис.2 місяці тому
After six months of living full-time in our RV, and traveling to 20 ski resorts throughout the country, here is our short list of tips on how to stay warm during a winter storm, and keep your tanks (especially black tank) from freezing. We had a lot of things go wrong and learned a whole lot while boondocking in the winter (sometimes the hard way). As always, do your research, and don't venture...

We have been camping in the winter full-time for the past 6 months and we have discovered the perfect recipe for how to spend a day while winter camping! We start out with our favorite thing to do, snowboarding of course, then cook one of our favorite hearty foods (Ballow's Chili). Then we end the day with a sweet treat and a movie! I wish we could do this every day. What would you change? Our ...

As our Epic & Ikon Ski pass adventure continues, we winter camp in freezing temps outside of Leadville Colorado. During our stay, we enjoyed a couple days at Copper Mountain where we were able to watch the Dew Tour athletes, and Après afterward! Towards the end of our stay, our generator broke and Jack took a crack at fixing it before a huge winter storm came through. We would have loved to cam...

@@mobrocket interesting 15 years ago that would’ve been impossible. Lol. I just wanted to see if you would name a random one. But 100mbps was impossible at the time the highest you could get with satellite was 5 gbps. not to mention dial up was never ever paired with satellite at all. You literally made up a whole lie just to be a negative Nancy. Lol

@@Kaifkiih35 I could be wrong, I thought you had to have another service for the upload part because the satellite was download only You tell me what services were available I was still at my parents so it would be between 1999 - 2004... I moved out right after the Bucs first SB Edit. I did some research and I was way off on speed. It felt way faster back then because it was a big upgrade on speed. But legit, I thought the upload part wasn't thru the dish and it was by phone line. Because I remember installing the dish by my bedroom after HS. And I could have sworn it was 1 way only. I am not making up what I remember but just way off on how I remember it. Still feel slow to me for 2024 tech

Not if you live in the city with optical fiber, as it is like 15 times more expensive per month. But if you live out in the middle of nowhere it is both cheaper and faster than other satellite providers.

Megabits/Mbps or megabytes/MBps? In my country (one much smaller than America) we get 800megabits per second which comes out to around 100megabytes per second 200Mbps is not that impressive and everyone is always going on about how amazing it is, surely we mean 200MBps and not Mbps right? 200MBps is impressive. But I can't find any sources that specify if Mbps is a typo and they actually mean MBps which is fast Also that plan for 800Mbps/100MBps is only 61USD a month
