How to clean and lube your motorcycle chain
In this video I show you exactly how I clean and lube my motorcycle chain. There are many videos out there but this is the way I do it. Its fast, easy and pretty fool proof. Best advice is to try and keep the lube OFF of your rear tire. If you can do that then you are in good shape. This may also be a good time to check your chain for the proper tension. I already have a video on here showing how I did that earlier on. I hope you enjoyed and if you did and like the little bits of humor I put into my videos then please subscribe and like! And go watch some more cause I have tons of funny videos up. Thanks for watching.

Windshield Swap on ZX6R
Переглядів 3217 місяців тому
In this video I decide to finally swap out my windscreen. I wanted to go with the dark double bubble wind screen but after scrolling endless hours down the interwebs rabbit hole I landed on this green windscreen instead. I absolutely love it! Fit perfect and looks great! Hope you enjoy the video. www.Bennymetals.com Email: Bennymetals@gmail.com Facebook: BennyMetals Instagram: Benny Metals I do...

The hex bolts that were hard to get off - what size of Allen wrench did you need ? (ah, found the answer - 6mm hex nut)
Bike looks and sounds great. Just get black brackets for the pipe or paint them, will look better.
@@ThinkTankxx great idea! And thank you!
how are the lows and the mids with the straight pipe?? love your channel btw
@brandons4381 I'm going to be honest and say that I don't notice any difference from before till now. Lol
@@Bennyrogue so just to confirm you have not experienced any difererence haha
Bro I'm glad I'm not the only one who dropped my spacers lol
😂
Nice!
Is it really a cat convertor though or a sound resonator? I've heard people say the cat is up in the headers
@@jackboehm5756 pre- muffler. Not Cat. I was mistaken
The website for the stem Nut says do not exceed 30lbs of torque and you used 60lbs? Just want to make sure I do it right. Awesome video.
@ItssZeusr good thinking! I went off of Yamahas torque specs for the factory bolt. I guess I didn't see the specs for the new ball screw. But so far so good.
Where I can find this slider?
@@oswaldorivas2846 there is a link in the description.
How is the stand holding the bike up I see it’s on two little notches or something do I have to take som off to access those ot
@JaveLay I have little screw in stand mounts on my bike. Purchased from Ebay I believe. But they do make a stand that is kinda like "fits most bikes" it would somehow rest under the rear swing arms and lift the bike.
Just got a new subscriber. I got a zx6r 2022 and watched your grip video. Keep up the content man. You funny/goofy in a good way. Love your vids
@jay2030 thank you very much!
Man I can’t get these grips on!! Feeling like I should have just left the stock ones on right now.. never struggled this hard before with grips Even with alcohol
@6ohTreez I'm sorry 😞. Sometimes you gotta drench them to make them wet enough to get on all the way.
Great video man!! Cheers from New Hampshire
@6ohTreez thank you! Glad you liked it!
Helpful video, thanks. Hey, does the alcohol activate adhesive that's already on the inside of the new grip? If not, I'm inclined to use the hairspray trick to ensure strong adhesion. Unlike you, I'm too inpatient to remove the existing grips by sliding them off, I'll just slice them and peel! Thanks again.
I honestly don't think my cheapo grips had any type of adhesive. If yours have adhesive I'm sure the alcohol will help.
What specific adhesive did you use on the stem nut?
Just a mild thread sealant. I would not use a strong hold. May need to remove it in the future.
Works for 24 zx6r as well if anyone is wondering
Thank you for taking the time to post this! I would have been wondering as well.
Hola, podrías dejar el link de los productos?
Everything was purchased from Amazon except the stem mount with ball. If you search the name in the video description it will pop up.
I used the back of a 13/16 spark plug socket and pipe wrench to get my front axles loose it worked great, Jus a tip for some people, I live in a 3rd world country, so getting the proper tool wasn’t so easy to find on the island i live Hope this helps someone
Can you explain what the “NOTE LAMBDA sensor plug sold separately” on the website means for these headers ?? Did it come complete with everything you need or did you need to buy that part
I have no clue. The exhaust I bought was just the slip on exhaust with a mounting screw. That's it. I had to buy the "servo buddy" separate but that's it.
What I like to use on the floor is puppy pads. I have a bunch when I was training my dog. Works great and helps with the splatter of the cleaner. I found out the hard way that doing that on my asphalt driveway was that the chain cleaner was eating my asphalt. Side note... Also they suggest to leave your bike along for a few hours to let the lube or wax to set. To mention an awesome quote.. You can never have enough lube!
Great advice my guy!
if she wants it she will learn fast. its been 15 years since i rode. recently bought another. learned all over again. tell her how much fun its gonna be. you are very cool with teaching her. keep it up
do you need this for the 2015 r3 as well?
I would guess so but not 100% sure.
Thanx for you’re videos, they really helped me out a lot. I just installed both hand grips and the brake and clutch levers. It was really easy
Thank you very much! I'm so glad my videos were able to help you.
@@Bennyrogue Your videos are cool to watch. Thanx again Benny👍
Did anyone else notice that the front wheel was installed backwards? ABS ring should be on the left side. Tire will have an arrow on the sidewall showing direction of rotation.
Haha. Long time ago my guy. Watch some more videos cause I had to go buy a code reader and everything to clear that code 😅
Thanks, I was wondering if that would throw a code or just light the abs warning.
@danlafon3265 threw a code and I couldn't start the bike until I cleared it. 🙄
Thanks for the video and info about the code. I will be doing tires as soon as my tools get here.
I wish I read this comment earlier! It throws error code 27 but after hitting my head everywhere figured out it was installed backwards 😂
So I had an exhaust fall off and I’m trying to figure out where to get that inside ring the the exhaust bolt goes through to mount properly
You might be able to go thru the diagrams on "Partzilla.com" to buy a replacement.
Did you happen to find a replacement on that inside ring sir? Got the same issue lol
What does the servo motor even do ? Are there any drawbacks to removing it ?
In a nutshell, the servo moto opens and closes a butterfly valve in the exhaust to control noise at lower rpms and very high rpms. The bike manufacturers will say it's to create back pressure at lower rpms to create more torque at lower speeds but I guess from what I've read that's BS. It's all about keeping the bike more quiet.
@Bennyrogue Ah thanks for the great explanation brother. Loved watching the video start to finish
@HamzaShams_ thank you! 😁
Thanks so much! Very informative video. I was dumbfounded when I realized after I bought a whole kit that it wouldn’t work on my 2016 r3😂. Could you do a chain cleaning video??
I'm so glad the video helped you! With spring finally popping its head out in my area I will do a cleaning video for sure.
@@Bennyroguethis would be awesome
Don't you have to align the front calipers before torquing them?
If you do I am un aware. I havnt had any issues thus far. 😬
Nice video 🎉
Thank you! 🫡
i had the ram ball mount thing from the previous owner but threw it out 😭
Nooooooo!!!!
Puig screens are pretty good quality.
Yeah, I was actually going thru my Amazon, and ebay to see where the heck I ordered this from. I think it was an online motorcycle shop.
I have the 2024 Kawasaki zx 6r and I just ordered the green and black grips along with the green plate holder and some rims stickers. I still haven’t installed any of my new parts just yet. But thanx for uploading the hand grip video, it’s really going to help me doing the job myself instead of paying someone to do it for me😂
Yes what’s the next one going to be about?
I bought a new wind shield. Green! 😄
Ok Benny from the block😂 Good Job 👍
😅 thank you! You ready for a new video yet?
Yes
That bracket is a MF! Thanks for the video 🤙
No doubt!! Working around any of the plastics on these bikes is nasty! Lol
why is the Yamaha green? 😩
It's black too 😏
Invest in some captive spacers, so they dont fall out when installing the wheels
Thanks so much for this video! Super helpful and funny too🤣
Thank you! I'm glad someone appreciates my humor 😆
absolutely love this, only thing is I was told not to exceed 30 ft lbs??
Idk. I've heard people day they just tighten it till they think it's tight. I'm pretty sure it's in the manual somewhere. I thought I got that info I had from a legit source but I can't remember haha
@@Bennyrogue hey fair enough! I appreciate you getting back!
For those of you who had as much of a hard time figuring out which 22mm multi tool he meant, I finally found it :) Hex Axle Tool for Motorcycle Front Axle Wheel, Hex Allen Axle Spindle Tool Socket Adapter Tool 3/8 Inch 17mm 19mm 22mm 24mm (2PCS)
I apologize. I didn't realize people were struggling on what the tool was. 😬. Thank you for supplying the info! 😀
Did u know u didn’t need to move the chain adjuster screws to take off the tire
Just hit the axle with the dead blow and pull the axle out, roll the tire forward, undo the chain and come right out
@justinlaberge6580 information needed before I made the video haha. I'll remember that for next time. Haha.
These ones i’ve heard that on 24’ model in order to fit them i have to cut some of the fairings..which i really don’t want to do..i guess i’ll browse around some more..but great video, i’m enjoying your contents as i started just recently a small channel , i got less than 50 subscribers LOL !
Congratulations man! Keep it up! And thank you 😃
Dunno man.. every time i’ve changed lights on my vehicles with led’s they ended up being cheaper and lasting less then the original bulb would have…i don’t think i’ll do that but they sure look good tho !
Well so far so good but I totally understand what you mean. Everything is made so cheap anymore.
Omg i have the 2024 here in Italy and i want to see the double bubble soo bad..cause i’ll be ordering that right after you LOL 🤟
Awesome! Well then, stay tuned! 😃
How much a double bubble windshield will cost for you’re 2024 bike?
@@angellopez-xo5qxI know for my 2019 it is over $100 USD. I did purchase a cheaper green tinted windscreen that will be the next video.
@@Bennyrogue ok thanx
Thank you for this video. It is very helpful
Thank you for your nice comment! 😀
does the exhaust come with instructions or is it just a go and diy
Tube in a box. Unless they changed that lol.
I’m about to get the same bike 19 zx6r in the same color but it has a TOCE exhaust and I hate the way it looks so I will be getting the street slayer for it for sure.
Excellent!. Just don't smash your knuckles off the bike like I did trying to undo those bolts 😆
Great video bro that s*** is hilarious
😆. Glad you enjoyed it!
So you don’t actually have to get a tune or flash when you do slip ons?
Correct! Some motor heads might argue but you do not. You may be able to improve your bike a little with a flash job but it's not needed. If you take off the entire pipe it is recommended.
Did anyone else have a seriously hard time getting the stem nut to shift? I don’t have a torque wrench so trying it with a socket wrench and can’t get any movement.
It is suppose to be torqued down so I'm sure it hard to get off without the correct leverage.
Turns out a regular socket wrench will totally work, you just need to not be a woman with terrible hand strength 😊 Got a strong armed dude to undo it, he managed it easily. Thanks for this awesome tutorial - it helped alot! Got it all mounted now.
@@MichelleJones-o4y haha. Darn them girly arms 😉. I'm glad you got it! Thank you for the kind comments.
Sorry, but nobody wants to start watching a video by staring at some doods crotch. Just saying!!!
