I have understood the nesting principle; but I’ve never seen your pinning technique😳. I’m newer to quilting and really enjoying your knowledge👏👏👏 ❤️😀

a great idea for organising repairs in the house too, working out what to do in steps and how long it will take and also how much it will cost and will it be easier to hire a repair man.

I quilt but do crochet and many other needle arts too. My craft room was in a small bedroom, I moved to a bigger room and accumulated too many projects. I missed the sunny windows and vibe in my small room so decided to move back but knew I needed to make changes. I left all my WIPS in the old room and chose 6 to bring with me. I devoted one hour every morning to work for 10 minutes on each of the six. I figured even if I didn't like something it deserved to be finished and donated and 10 minutes would not kill me. I started with 6 that were close to being done and when one was done I would go get another so I always had six. Some I would take apart and put the materials back in my stash, most I finished. Over the course of a year everything was done. Now my rule is if get tired of something I still have to work ten minutes a day on it because putting it aside is the kiss of death. I really felt proud of myself and felt free to create. Those things were dragging me down.

Hi Paula, I can see where this could be a real problem for some quilters. Luckily, I'm not there yet as I've only made 3 quilts 😅. I have come to quilting much later in life ( 70 years) as a way to combat stress related to my husband's cancer diagnosis. I find the whole process takes my mind off my troubles. Don't know where I'd be without it ❤

Still binding no matter what you choose to call it. Just look at it. It’s binding with corners sewed on for what purpose?

You have titled your video for beginners so please don’t show new quilters that it’s ok to cut with that rotary cutter coming back at you. You just showed them the best way to slip and cut into their left fore arm. A pro would never show someone to cut that way

Hi Paula, I still call myself a beginner after I started quilting over 4 years ago. Your quilt blocks tonight are very simple and allow newbies to follow you easy enough to make their first block. I’m excited to see more of your tutorials.
