Welcome to my channel! This is my first foray into the world of Flosstube! In this video I tell a little bit about myself and my crafting journey and show a few of my WIPs.
Come on girl , get that amazing holiday Queen done. 😂
Enjoyed catching up with you. Had to smile when you showed Ann B., before watching this video I had been re-watching Wolf Hall in readiness to diving into the new series. Have you been able to see the older series and then get the new one over your side of the pond? I hope so as it is so good. Enjoy whatever you are stitching x
I actually just finished season 1 of Wolf Hall about 30 minutes ago! Loved it and really loved the books. Thanks so much for watching!
Hi Stitchin-Liz i went back rewatched this video noticed you haven't posted for a while. How di d you get on with your Cluny Tapistries and Thomas Kinkaides? hope you give us all update and film a 2025 cross stitch plans.
Hello! I actually just posted a video last week, although I haven't updated those particular projects. I have quite a few wips so my rotation takes a while to get through. :)
Would you ever consider a video of you doing your spinning? I find that so interesting to watch.
I'll definitely think about it!
Prayers 🙏 for your strength. The best you can do is keep a positive attitude. I did the reverse. Had COVID and then got the biopsy results. I'm here to tell you, you can do this ❣️ Love your videos and your stitching.
Thank you so much! My biopsy did eventually come back negative, although that was a whole story in itself! And the covid finally passed. Thank you for your prayers.
I don’t understand only 800 some subscribers….your videos are GREAT! I am going to try this HAED challenge; I have never completed a full coverage other than Long Dog samplers. I probably will use 18 ct. or 25 ct. easy grid! Going to look at the charts. HAPPY STITCHING TODAY AND EVERYDAY IN 2024!!
@@karendavis-macon9658 Thank you so much and very happy stitching to you!
I use Colonial knots instead, they're easier for me, always consistent! I'm not joining the HAED SAL, for the reason that the chart isn't sent at once... I don't stitch by page, I stitch where my thread takes me, nothing more annoying than having to stop at the end of a page where there are only 2 stitches of that color on the next page! My friend, who does stitch by page, is stitching the jellyfish too!
@@JanetDoucette I’m with you on only getting so many pages at a time, although I’m sure I won’t be finished before the next installment of pages comes. 🤣 Colonial knots are great too.
Love your videos, short or long! 👏🏼🙏🏼❤
Thank you!
I LOVE Anne Boleyn too!! 💖💖💖💖💖
The cow blanket is so cute! Winter Queen looks lovely. I'm sure you can finish her before Christmas. I'm excited for the HAED SAL. My goal is similar to yours in trying to get 6 pages finished. I love your infatuation with Ann Boleyn! I'm a fan of so many English Queens.
@@TheCrossStitchGuy Thanks! I’m definitely going to try to get her done. I have a Tudor obsession!
@@stitchinliz I noticed it when you showcased your Henry the VIII piece with his wives.
@@TheCrossStitchGuy One day you'll see how many I really have.
The HAED you picked is beautiful
Really enjoying your videos and loving seeing your projects. I struggle with French knots, and would LOVE it if you did a tutorial for them sometime. 😊
@@amymmakes Thank you! I’ll definitely consider it.
I really enjoy your masking tape fray check system. I’m serious.
@@craftycondostitcher8831 It’s kind of ghetto but it does work! It comes off pretty easily when you wash the finished piece. Thanks for watching!
Good Luck on the HAED 2025 SAL. Your chart is so beautiful. Can not wait to see you stitch on it next year. I started my first full coverage piece on Halloween and it is called Toil & Trouble. I am doing mine on 18-count White aida. It has 96 colors and I am doing it 2 over 1 full cross. The fabric size I got is 29" x 39" and my very first color is Black 310. So far it is fun to do. I may go and check out the HAED charts to see if I like any of them. Thanks for telling us about the SAL. Happy Stitching.
@@lindapearson3340 Thanks! I’ll have to check out your Toil and Trouble!
I always enjoy seeing your projects! That Highland cow is going to be sooo cute! When you stitch on 18 count Aida as on the Pirates of the Caribbean design, do you use two strands of floss? Take care.
@@lisadolson6598 Yes, I use 2 strands full cross for 18 count. I like the coverage. Thanks for watching!
Enjoyed seeing everything you are working on. The Royal Holiday is gorgeous! I can't wait until it is finished. It makes me want to start mine. I'm excited for you doing the Haed Sal. It will be fun to see your progress. Enjoy all your crafting, and see you soon.
@@JillPoteat-fd5xi Thank you so much!

Hi Liz! So glad you are back! Glad you had a great vacation- it sounds wonderful! I wouldn’t have minded the extra days on the ship I don’t think- but agree that cabbage on sandwiches is not great! Love all of your pieces and can’t wait to see your WIP parade. The TW mermaid is stunning! I’m very interested in your Crochet- along ! Did you find it on You Tube? The triangles you’re making are just so pretty! Good luck getting 60!
Thanks! Having extra days was pretty great. It just took me a moment to get over the fact that all my plans had to change. The crochet along can be found on the Scheepjes facebook group and website. The pattern is completely free so you can make it with any yarn you want.
Pirates of the caribbean looks so good. (Dutch is not so difficult😉). Wow, 60 pieces to crochet. Happy crafting.
Thank you!
Welcome back to land! 20 days out on the sea is a long time. I enjoy seeing the embroidery pieces. If you keep showing them that may tempt me to try it out 🤣 I am looking forward to this future WIP parade!
Thank you!
lol I seen the highland cow blanket so went searching for the pattern and ended up getting that one as well as a strawberry cow pattern 😂 Great stitching!
Yay for enabling! That strawberry one is cute too!!
Looking forward to your WIP.
It was good to see you again! I'm glad that you enjoyed your trip. Did you see any cross-stitch shops, along the way? London is supposed to have some. I've always wanted to go there. I enjoyed seeing the progress on everything that you have been working on. I can't wait to see your wip parade. Have a great week, and see you soon.
Thank you! I didn't get to go to any other shops unfortunately. Some day.
Thannk you so much for sharing your beautiful work and details about your trip. I can't wait for your WIP parade!
Thanks!
Sorry your trip ended the way it did. Your projects are beautiful.
Thank you!
Really enjoyed seeing all of your wonderful projects and hearing all about your trip. Sounds like an amazing adventure! That highland cow is beyond adorable!! Looking forward to seeing your progress. 😊
It was definitely an adventure! I can't wait to get him finished.
Wow love your progress on your projects. The Mermaid is stunning. I crochet and 60 is a lot of crocheting in 2 weeks. I am retired and I know I could not do that in 2 weeks. That will be a beautiful blanket when it is all done thou. The only thing I do not like is to connect them all together. Can not wait to see your progress on that project. I give you credit for doing the cow. It looks beautiful but at the same time huge too. I am so glad that she is paying you for the work to be done on it and all the materials. I have been crocheting for 50 years and during the years everyone asks you for blankets, hats, scarfs etc. and I just crochet them and pay for everything and they do not even offer you any money. I starting giving them as gifts instead of just doing it and that made me feel better about doing it and giving it to them. Happy Stitching & Crocheting.
Thank you! Yeah, the connecting part is always rough, but so worth it in the end. I like to give my work as gifts too, it just feels better than doing something someone wants you to do.
I love pattern keeper to! And I agree with you that the backstitching is always worth it, it makes things look so much better. It seems like I have heard that sometimes if you go to the place that you purchased the kit, they will send you a pdf of the pattern. It might be worth checking out?
I think it depends on the company. I might try it out though. Thanks!
So beautiful projects. Happy crafting
Pirates, that face looks so good. Happy crafting
@@ninahobbysite thank you!
Glad you're feeling better! Loved seeing the Wentzler mermaid and the Kinkade.
@@RosieintheRockies thank you!
Hi Liz, new sub here. I am looking for help with Pattern Keeper. Your title caught my eye. I have downloaded pattern keeper on my NEW! samsung tablet. I get a message though that tells me that in order to continue importing I have to input thread numbers - " we successfully imported your charts but we could not import all thread number. Please input missing numbers and verify that the legend and mockup looks correct. I am not sure what I need to do. It has a highlighted blue bar where it says the input thread numbers - when I click on that bar it takes me to a page with symbols on the left side that don't relate to the symbols at all. I should say I do have a paper chart, but these symbols are not even on that paper chart. Does any of this make sense? And would you know what to do, how to fix this? I appreciate any help you can give me. Thank you
@@diamondsandthings Hello and thanks for watching! Sadly I don’t have an answer for you as I am an Apple girl and have not run into that issue. I know there’s at least one PK support group on Facebook where you may be able to get some help. I hope you can get it to work!
Enjoy your cruise! I can’t wait to hear about it when you come back.
Thank you!!
Stunning finishes!
Thank you!
Love your Mermaid, she's stunning! Happy to hear that you're feeling better and able to go on your cruise. Have a wonderful time.
Thank you!
got pk when I started my current project (mid june I think) and I never would have been able to do over 44k stitches without it. I struggled with a small piece of a little over 1,000 because it was on paper so I stopped following patterns completely and drew on my fabric when I stitched something. (which I noticed never really wet away because I'm digitizing a pattern from a book and I struggle so much...)
I'm glad PK is helping you too!
I hope you're feeling all the way better! All your WIPs are lovely; I think Victorian Charm might be my favorite. Happy stitching!
I love that one too. Thank you, I'm 100%!
Have a wonderful vacation!
Thank you!
I have already started thinking about WIPGO 2025 as well! I’ve always done it like assigning one project per square. This year I’m going to do one more like yours- with prompts. I can’t wait! Your TW Mermaid is amazing! And so close to a finish! It sounds like you have an amazing vacation planned! Unplug and just totally relax and get reacquainted with each other! Sounds heavenly! Have a great time and we’ll see you when you get back! From one crazy stitcher to another!
I hope you enjoy doing your WIPGO that way. It helped me stick with it. That mermaid will be the death of me but I love her. Thank you!
I love the progress on your cross stitching. The cruise sounds awesome! I'm happy that you get to go. I hope you have a wonderful time. Can't wait to hear all about it. Stay safe.
Thank you!
I'm glad to hear that you are doing better! Yes, I have started thinking about WIPGO already. I cannot wait to join since this will be my first time. Don't worry about your Deadly Aquarium being too far behind. I'm still at the beginning 🤣 Enjoy your vacation! Can't wait to hear about it.
@@TheCrossStitchGuy Cool! I hope you have fun with WIPGO. I’m sure you’ll be creative with your squares. I love your gold conversion though, totally worth the wait. Thank you!
I loved your Rose Tree in Bloom

Liz I love the update no matter how long or short it is. Stitch that movie poster! Also I'm glad that you're feeling better. Covid is no fun!
Thank you!
You don’t have to apologize for not stitching much while you had Covid- I literally did not pick up a needle for 2 solid weeks! It was too heavy and I was too tired! Glad you’re better now! You still got a lot done! I love your Cymberleigh and it must be gorgeous in person with all that Kreinik! The movie poster is amazing with the detail. Looks like a real picture. All of your cross stitch is beautiful and your needlepoint is gorgeous! Love that Beth Russell canvas- what do you do with that hole in the center? Hope you have a great vacation and looking forward to your next Fosstube!
Thank you! Yes, Covid really makes you exhausted! The center of the Beth Russell has a few options to it. I might add our last name in the middle and there are a few charted bumblebees that you can also add. The charted letters for initials but I prefer using the name instead.
I also have an ipad and use MarkUp RXP. It's just like pattern keeper, but I prefer it TBH.
Good to know, thanks!
You've had so much progress on so many projects! Thanks for sharing your stitches.
Thanks for watching!
You’ve got me looking at my Candace Bahouth needlepoint which I put down months ago. I also love Elizabeth Bradley and Beth Russell and have done many of them in the past. It’s so refreshing to see someone working on these, and the cross stitch designs you work on
Beth Russell is one of my favorites, she just has such beautiful colors. Thanks for watching!
I've watched all of your videos from the beginning. The cross stitch you do is my style that I like ,too. I loved the Victorian Charm and the Autumn angel, I have both of them packed away and you have inspired me to find them and start both. I hope you get well and have a wonderful trip. Can't wait to see you again.
Wow, thanks for watching! I really love both of those projects and hope you enjoy them too.
Great projects. Glad that u r feeling better.
