Picked it up from eBay because it’s nice and non-cluttered for videos. It’s a bit bigger than a standard mat though, so not really useable vs. other people in contested spaces

@@chrisyt437 In the current format, 3 lancea in the side deck is a good anti maliss AND anti shifter option. Lancea is still a fairly cheap card at the minute too

White Forest gang rise up! Once SUDA drops, White Forest will be eating good... (Although I do think Ryzeal WF is plenty strong enough in the current format, I'm taking it to two different locals this Saturday.)

@ have you worked out ratios. How does the test hands work out.

The test hands show that going first, you're comboing to the moon without fail pretty much every time. The issue though is that going second, you're really struggling to break boards - so I'm currently trying to work out how many boardbreakers I can fit into the deck without ruining consistency. Because the WF monsters can use powerspells to activate their effects, there's an argument for running 3 ash (for the Charmies) and 3 imperm, but then everything else be powerspells. Currently feeling 24 engine and 16 non-engine, because I want my opening hand to be 3 engine and 2 non-engine (in an ideal world.)

@ suggestion. So when going second take the ryzeal stuff out due to it being small add super poly or other board breakers. I would rather break there board and win on the grind

@@ElManY. I’m planning to do a video to show the lines for Kash Maliss and how it enables you to play through hand traps. I was just trying to show the concept but forgot splash mage is 2 x cyberse monster for a second ^_^

@@zevs9496 In my head, the deck should be decent into the two main meta threats at the moment - Maliss and Ryzeal. Silvera solos Maliss because you can't link away facedown monsters, so used at the right time it's a complete turn skip. With Ryzeal, WF typically runs boardbreakers/power spells in non-engine slots due to the synergy with Diabel and not having enough non-engine space to run 18+ handtraps without bricking the deck. (Helps that running both WF and Ryzeal engines means you can't be D Barriered too!)

Anyway you can share your list? I've been working on it as well.

Yes, I already have the ratios worked out for the WF/Ryzeal stuff, but I'm struggling to settle on the non-engine. I'm sticking with 24 engine and 16 non-engine though, it feels really nice for these types of decks that want to use one archetype to combo into another. You only need a small ryzeal engine of 5 cards for this version, so that still leaves room for 19 WF/Toybox cards, which in my mind is plenty. I'm playing at 2 different locals next weekend (not this weekend the one after), so I'll likely use WF Ryzeal for one and Maliss for the other.

@@darkmj4137 I did it at locals this weekend and they just scooped once they realised that surviving shifter for one turn wasn’t going to be enough. I also had games that I lost because of shifter though, because my hand wasn’t good enough to play through hand traps while under shifter. Learned a lot about the deck this weekend though and looking forward to taking my updated list.

@@CanYouFelixTCG Yeah, 4 turns of shifter for some decks is just too much, I also did experimented with many anti-nibiru combos and they turned out extremely good, considering most people keep saying Maliss is not that good only becuz of Nibiru this basically completely destroys this thesis

@@darkmj4137 What are your go to anti-nib lines? There's ways to carry on playing through nib, but I've yet to see anti full-blown "you actually can't nib me" type combos.

@@CanYouFelixTCG Yeah when I say anti-nib I actually mean to keep on playin in a way that basically makes the end board exactly the same as when you don't get nibbed, I posted a vid on my channel about it and more "anti-nib" lines are coming as well if you ever want to check them out

I find that Nib is an issue if you play greedy, but not so much of an issue if you hold things back (so not just blowing splash mage, Link Decoder, all 3 main monster banishes etc without a recovery plan.) I'm starting to wonder if Link Spider is maybe overrated but I need to test more before cutting it.

@@KhaozEngine99 I’m looking at WF for the current format and what the best way to play it is. I’ve noticed that voiceless voice decks run a small Ryzeal package, and it’s got me wondering if there’s an angle for WF Ryzeal to run a small package too as you can combo into it via the toy box engine.

@@Interstellar_President_Pat I actually think FS White Forest might be the best variant this format (CRBR) at least until SUDA comes. The FS engine soaks up pressure/baits hand traps without committing a normal summon, then you can hopefully resolve a WF monster and go full combo from there. Not only that, they can actually combo into each other too. (SUDA is game changing for WF though, we just need to hang in there until then!)

Ive did this combo at the regionals and the judge told me its not possible to get the tank back and an aditional copy of toy soldier..

@KhaozEngine99 Toy box is a soft once per turn, the card doesn't say anything about "you can only use this effect of Toy Box once per turn." Your judge was mistaken, it happens, especially when it's cards that don't see much play in the meta. Toy box is categorically not a hard once per turn. (Edit: You were robbed. I’d expect a judge to know the difference between hard and soft OPT. Was it a “fresh” copy of toy box you were activating, i.e recycled from the grave?)

It's something Im looking at, in the current format I feel like FS Azamina WF is the most handtrap resistant variant - and Ryzeal/Maliss are the decks to beat this format, both of them have tonnes of room for non-engine (same for all the Kash FS variants running about.)

Appreciate the kind words! I'm making a new video soon that talks about how to try and play around handtraps because the Maliss/Ryzeal format is going to be VERY handtrap heavy. I think we'll see less shifter/droll which is nice, but we'll see more of everything else... My take is that for Game 1, you run your standard 15 non engine, but then if you're going first Game 2, run either a crossout package or a thrust/D barrier (etc) package. The deck is bananas when you actually get to combo off, but the current meta is very centred around suffocating your opponent with handtraps.

Scourge has the potential to be better all things considered, but you'd have to hard draw it (or already hard draw Tales of the White Forest so you can search Scourge with Silvy.) Same goes with Rciela, if you already have Iris you can search Scourge instead.

@@CanYouFelixTCG I think I value having Diabell on board with Scourge set more than going down the Iris line so I search it off of Rciela. Both are very solid options though to be fair. I also quite like having Scourge in hand going second to deal with various interactions, and to dodge targeting effects on my synchro monsters. This deck can do a lot of target dodging with the Tuner effects in grave spinning things back, as well as Scourge tributing for cost. Its quite fun! In saying that, I'm also running this as a Dark Magician / White Forest deck, so I'm not really maximizing potential in the first place by forcing the DM engine in there. Playing it "For Fun" while being as meta relevant as possible. Cool profile, subbed :)

@CanYouFelixTCG it's definitely a tech card, but it's lingering effect on summon is pretty much like threating roar. Since the zombie package needs you to make immortal anyway i thought might as well make this instead

@@CrisRullz I do like it, the only thing I don't like is that you need to make it on their turn. We can do that with woes easily enough, if we get to woes. Good shout though!

@ Absolutely. I love this archetype, but I’m under no illusions that it won’t be full strength until SUDA. Post SUDA I think it will be a real contender, because there will finally be a proper bridge for the Aza/WF engines.

@@mikeyplayz_2193 Soft once per turn, fresh copy of toy box is a new copy of toy box, so isn’t the same card. People are sleeping on how broken the toy box engine is for decks that properly synergise with it (which is admittedly a small list for now.)

@@mikeyplayz_2193 All good! If you look at the wording of toy soldier it says: you can only use each of the following effects of “Toy Soldier” once per turn. In comparison, toy box says “this card”, rather than “toy box”. It’s a small detail, but is the difference between hard once per turn and soft once per turn.

@@ZackShearman I think if he’s made using an actual DM so he gets the pop, then there’s more of an argument for dedicating the 3 extra deck spaces required to summon him. Chaos Angel plus the mannadium omni is a worthy replacement though I guess. (One day, Dragoon will be properly viable in a DM deck. One day…)

@ I started out with a list that kamonygo made and he uses them all but I’m going to test yours probs this weekend because im fairly new to the game so its good to get different inputs but yea hopefully he does def a top 5 fav card of all time

@ To be honest I doubt I will fully settle on a build until Supreme Darkness comes out. Elzette of the Azamina (or whatever they’re going to call it) is borderline custom card level of support for white forest. It’s a cool archetype though and I enjoy playing it. Good luck at the weekend!

I started my channel with newer players in mind, as there's not loads of content for people inbetween the "complete and total beginner" and "what, you haven't even won a regional yet?" levels of player.

That is true but I have found that fiendsmith takes up way too much space from the ED

​@@ImMicku It's a 4 card extra deck package and a 2 card main deck package, you just lose the rabbit, rcielago, i:p, and deep beyond (in the case of the profile) to have a self contained loop in rotation while putting up an extra negate(s) You also gain access to reframing through the standard combo with tuner + lacrima to get further value out of it.

@@ImMicku Skip to 4:15, from this point, Rucia and Astellar will make immortal dragon. Immortal Dragon plus toy soldier will make arms of Genex. So you’re basically swapping out the dragoon for the Genex/Immortal/Zombie world package, which is more than worth it when playing against Tenpai.

@ Yes, but then level 2 immortal dragon plus toy soldier = Rciela, so you can just combo into WF from there. Different line, but it doesn’t kill your combo or anything
