Hey, does everyone who watched this movie remember how she told Paul, "The world has made choices for us." and "I will never leave you." then got mad when he went South and left him to fly away in an ornithopter at the end of the movie? Real consistent character, way better than the books.

But sometimes dreams speak louder and clearer than when you’re awake. Sometimes they even speak about things to come and things which are already here.

Stilgar in the first movie 8/10 faithful to the books character.. He was not the same character in the second movie and the change to his arc is probably the most tragic in that movie.. he was not pauls sycophant.. he was as much a mentor as a father figure to paul.. it hurt paul to see the change in stilgar as he took on the mantle of leader and he fought against it.. the second movie was absolutely trash on so many levels by making so many character changes that weren't needed..

I was watching in theatres the first day. People kept laughing at Stilgar everytime he mentioned about Paul being prophesied and every single time people would laugh at him and mock him. I was very surprised because it was only matter of time he really becomes that leader cause where else movie might go? The understanding of Mahdi was taken from religion of Islam where leader among muslims will arise out of nowhere. He will be known for his qualities and people will start considering him as Mahdi. However he will not accept himself being mahdi but people will pledge alliance to him in multitudes. He will fight False Messiah (i.e Dajjal meaning the Deciever). He will lose some and win some and before the final war with False Messiah there will come a man, the prophet Isa (Jesus peace be upon him). The false Messiah who considers himself firstly as Jesus and then as God will fall at that battle in the hands of Jesus the son of Mary. Afterwards prophet Jesus will rule the world with peace with the one that the world has never seen. Then he dies and calamaties of doomsday will begin.
