I have been a die hard wvu fan since I was born. My mom is from west virginia. I remember watching the runaway beer truck hurdle that Rutgers defender and him running people over. pat and steve running all over defenses and im so happy to get to see that kind of intensity again. I cant wait for this upcoming season and I just wanna say 2 things. 1. The prodigal son has come home and 2. It's a great day to be a mountaineer and once a Mountaineer always a Mountaineer. LETS GO MOUNTAINEERS!!

I can not believe this is happening. My grandpa used to live near the stadium and we used to watch every WVU football game together every week. So excited!! Driving down to Motown tomorrow!!

Now, it’s time for Pat, Pac-Man Jones and the immortal Nick Saban jump in with help bring in the high level athletes. What a Christmas present, first to win President Donald Trump and JD Vance and second present is bringing home the best coach in the nation. I don’t think a lot of people fully realize what we now have in coach Rich Rod. He brings the respect of all college coaches. Excitement is in the around Morgantown WV. Let Bring on the WV University Mountaineers. Don Nehlen who went undefeated twice, Rich Rod can bring that back.

I was a WVU freshman when Cignetti was coach. Then Nehlen took over. Mountaineer football 🏈 was fun!! Coach Rodriguez kept it going. We need Mountaineers at the helm. Not be a stepping stone for other schools. Welcome home Coach !! You get us. ❤

I will say with certainty that Rich Rod is a 5 star number 1 pick.

Rich Rod fan here from Tucson glad to see Coach Rodriguez Back in the game.. He had Arizona in the best position they’ve been in since the desert swarm days and the way the administration there railroaded him out of town was pathetic and weak they couldn’t handle his intensity

If I was the coach of WVU I'd play the pregame speech that Bill Stewart said before the Fiesta Bowl before every game!! To me that is WVU football!! " We gotta out block em, out tackle em, out hit me & out hustle them... You stay within the legal limits of the game!!! It's Mountaineer pride, nothing cheap! We are gonna out strain, and out hit these guys! Let em know... LEAVE NO DOUBT TONIGHT... LEAVE NO DOUBT TONIGHT.. NO DOUBT... THEY SHOULDN'T HAVE PLAYED THE OLD GOLD AND BLUE... NOT THIS NIGHT!! NOT.. THIS.. NIGHT!! Don't leave your wing man, don't ever, ever bail out on your brother! Ya help, ya strain, ya just fight!! Start fast... Stay on top of em.. it's a game, let's go have some fun.. let's go get a win!!!". To this day I'll listen to his speech and it still gives me chills!! Coach Stewart may not have been the best coach, or the splashy hire, but he was a Mountaineer through and through... A true Mountaineer at heart, one who loved the school and knew what kinda mentality it takes to win here!! I hope Rich Rod can bring that kinda energy and mentality back to WVU!!!
