    How old were you when you went through all of this..?? Supposably men over 50 do not get chronic pelvic pain syndrome... The reason I asked the last 5 months I have gone through major anxiety and panic disorder. It has affected my mental health and physical health quite significantly. Most recently now I was diagnosed with possible prostatitis. However I am 50 years old. I did have or was diagnosed with prostatitis approximately 8 to 9 years ago.. after a few months it eventually went away on its own. Been suffering again for the last 2 months... Still going to urologist for more testing...

    LOL, until recently I hadn't realized that Mario updated his favorite way to tackle ED and it's a relief! Although what he previously suggested was pretty good, it was a real pain to follow... I just go'ogled the latest by Mario Volpstein, it's so much simpler and potent now!

    Karl, time you wrote a definitive book on CPPS to complement Alan Gordon's more generic THE WAY OUT. What's missing in Alan's otherwise marvelous book are the tools specific/peculiar to the management of this condition, especially the biological/physical component of the 'biopsychosocial' model experts like yourself propose. Susie Gronski's book is one fine attempt to incorporate all aspects of this holistic approach but as a practising doctor suffering from CPPS I would love to hear -- in print -- your unique voice. Waiting for a response. Thanks and warm regards. P.S. Is there any place in your protocol for modalities like Transcutaneous Tibial Nerve Stimulation or drugs like Amitryptiline/Nortryptiline in the short term to ease the pain if it's bad enough to ruin one's sleep and push back recovery?

    • @pelvicpainmatters-beatingp1648
      @pelvicpainmatters-beatingp1648 3 місяці тому

      Thanks for your support and kind words. A book has been mentioned several times by my piers and patients. It is a project that we are working on slowly behind the scenes. Watch this space.. I have no issues with medication, or nerve stimulation to be part of a patients recovery. But, I would always encourage patients to use their own self care techniques to help calm down their symptoms. It means a patient has greater control of their own symptoms. Combined together they can create a really powerful recovery protocol.

    Walling yourself off from people who are a source of unwelcome drama, thereby increasing your general anxiety level -- the kind of people who can be labelled mildly 'toxic' in current lingo -- is a crucial component of the recovery process IMHO.

The sacral angle? the sagittal balance? the pelvic angle? If they have any imbalance in the spine or herniated disc, the sacral angle changes, a hyperlordosis occurs, the muscles of the coccyx to the pubis pull back and block the seminal duct and arteries, they also stretch the pudendal nerve, their lumbar muscles contract, the pelvis changes position and there is a contracture of the iliopsoas muscle that squeezes the pelvic musculature

    I had been suffering from a condition called Hard Flaccid for over a month. I believe it was caused by using a tight condom during intercourse that lasted for 45 minutes to an hour. Additionally, the frequency of having sex every day for the past 7 months since my marriage, sometimes up to 4 times a day, could have contributed to it. It is also possible that nutritional deficiencies due to excessive sexual activity played a role. One night, after using a condom during sex, I felt a slight numbness in my penis, as if I had lost sensation in a limb. The next morning, my flaccid penis was significantly smaller than usual, and I experienced erectile dysfunction every day since then. I consulted a doctor who suggested taking multivitamins containing zinc, magnesium, Vitamin D, and melatonin for sleep. I diligently took these supplements for a month. Initially, I couldn't feel anything in my penis, but as days went by, I started experiencing numbness and a cold sensation. My scrotum also felt drained and shrunken. I noticed that my flaccid penis became less sensitive and hard to touch, with no sensation when pinched. It was during this time that I learned about Hard Flaccid Syndrome. Surprisingly, I felt some relaxation in my penis when urinating, possibly due to the warmth of the urine, which gave me hope. Occasionally, I would feel anxious, but the melatonin tablets helped me improve my sleep. I also experienced symptoms like constipation and loss of sensation in my lower abdomen. I sought the advice of a urologist who found no physical issues and suggested that it might be psychological. However, I knew for certain that it was not solely a mental problem, even though I was going through a challenging period in my life. I tried watching videos on pelvic muscle relaxation and practiced it for a few days, which helped me relax my penis temporarily, but it would return to a hard flaccid state when touched. Later, I read somewhere that aerobic exercise could alleviate the problem. I started jogging for a few days and immediately noticed a change in my body. I wish I had known about this earlier during my suffering because cardio exercise significantly helped me regain my erections. After about a week of jogging, I regained sensation and my sex life returned to normal. I even noticed an increase in both girth and length of my penis after recovering from the condition. It was a rewarding outcome after a month-long struggle. Gradually, I resumed sexual activity, approaching it as one would approach any new sport. From my understanding of this syndrome, our bodies have a remarkable ability to heal themselves, and the condition was our body's way of recovering and strengthening after an injury. It suppresses sexual urges for an extended period to allow for a full and robust recovery. Therefore, my advice to anyone facing this problem is to be patient with your body, engage in cardio exercises, eat nutritious food, and take your vitamins. You will witness a complete recovery. Thank you, cardio!

    "Hey bro, do you wanna recover from your chronic pelvic pain?" Uhh... yeah, sure. What are you suggesting? "Great. All you have to do is try this super sweet drug which is similar to LSD and DMT." Uhm... how exactly is that gonna cure me? "Listen bro, if you use a drug which acts a painkiller then you won't feel the pain, so your chronic pelvic pain is gone." What on Earth does that even do to fix my pelvic floor problem? "..." Better yet, won't the painkiller effect, assuming that even works, won't that immediately return once the drug wears off? "Nah man, just trust me on this. Do this, and you'll be right as rain." Uhm yeah, how about piss off?

    Any thoughts on hard flaccid without pain and how to go about recovering?

    • @thepelvicpainclinic5709
      @thepelvicpainclinic5709 2 роки тому

      Thanks for your comment. My approach is to always look at the whole patient and not just the pelvis - this would include the BIG psychological impact of HF and how the symptoms create more distress which feeds back into the stress response. Learning to break away from the stress cycle as well as focusing on pelvic health (movement, managed masturbation, relaxation) and increasing meaningful activity can yield good results. There is a lot of conflict about the cause and the best treatment pathway. Look beyond trigger points and myofascial release for more opportunities for recovery

    Mastrubated excessively with sex toy called fleshlight for 2 months and sometimes 5 times a day. Also used to stop myself from ejaculation by doing kegels all time during mastrubation. I don't know whether I have hard flaccid or not, but I have some symptoms which he explained in the slide.

      Went to a doctor. Doctor examined my testicles, dick and also took blood test. Everything showed normal. he said muscle down there is tight. So it's confirmed I have hard flaccid.
