We appreciate your feedback! While we cannot speak to how our product looks under blacklight due to this not being the intended use for our product, we can say that it holds up very well to UV and direct sunlight. Direct sunlight for extended periods of time will cause colors to fade, but Stringliner is built to last when it comes to durability and longevity if you were to use it for an extended indoor installation!

Its a rebrand of a marxman, they lauch a couple of years ago and they are really useful for a lot of marking especially the deep hole version which will fire the chaclk mark a good 5 inch through timber onto a wall. I wonder why they had to rebrand it from the original.

My thoughts exactly. "Tools" made for the sake of making more tools. Hundreds of years it has been accomplished without some chalk shooting doohickey. I'll leave room in the tool chest for real ones.

@@TBlanktim don't agree at all these things are seriously useful. especially for things like mounting electrical fixings or tying studwork to brick. when I first saw them on dargons den a couple of years back I had ordered 2 before the demo was even finished. There are shitloads of times when being able to shoot a mark through a deep hole onto a surface (especially a rough surface) will really help you out. I don't know many sparks or shop fitter that don't have one in their toolbag. however this demo video rally isn't showing it at its best.

@@TBlanktim a lot of people don't need them but that doesn't mean they don't have a use. Things like pica deep hole markers are great but there are points you can mark with one of these that even a pica lead taken out the holder wouldn't be able to mark.. this really is quite a crappy demonstration. They will act like a transfer punch in some situations

With the post screws loose, tightening the blue center hub should build tension on your tape blade. Be sure to hold your hub in place while tightening the post screws so you do not lose tension. Good call. With a tug of your tape blade, the nail will release from the lumber you're measuring. That is where the name comes from.

If you need a hammer, then you are doing it wrong. Go learn your product again.

Yeah, I don't think they know much about these tapes.

You can, but you would have to attach them with rivets yourself and run the risk of altering the accuracy of your tape so we do not recommend it.
