The salafi brother (not the sheikh) didn't even know the meaning of aahaad hadiths. To say that ahaad hadiths relate to those that only have one chain is complete ignorance. Mutawaatir - A hadith that has been mass transmitted to an extent where it becomes impossible to deny. Ghareeb (falls under ahaad) - narrated through one chain. There is mutual and muqayyad as well. Azeez (falls under hadeeth) - narrated through 2 chains. Mashoor- 3 or more chains, however not enough to be mutawaatur. May Allah protect us from speaking without knowledge.

The six types of shirk mentioned in this lecture: 1. Shirk al-Istiqlaal شرك الاستقلال The belief that there is a God, but there is someone who can do things independently of God. Eg: the Majus, refuting the dual-god concept. _____________ 2. Shirk at-Tab'eed شرك التبعيض Composite shirk. This falls first and foremost upon the Christians. They believe that there is an entity that is comprised of multiple personalities or parts. _____________ 3. Shirk at-Taqarrub شرك التقرب Eg: Belief that Allah has daughters, and that worshipping the daughters can get you closer to Allah. Falls upon the Mushrikeen. “We’re not holy enough to worship Allah.” _____________ 4. Shirk at-Taqlid شرك التقليد Blind following your ancestors in their shirk. This is what prevented a lot of the Mushrikeen from accepting the message of RasulAllah ﷺ. _____________ 5. Shirk al-Asbaab شرك الأسباب Shirk of means. The sects of the Falasifa and Naturalists (الطبيعيون). Conflating cause and effect as being logically necessary and not logically possible. _____________ 6. Shirk ar-Riya’ (The minor shirk - Showing off) Being insincere with your actions with Allah (SWT), as mentioned by RasulAllah ﷺ.

The explicit verses of the Quran and authentic sunnah are completely against istighatha to other than Allah - calling upon another entity in the unseen. Using these stories which maybe karamah to expand to calling on dead saints is just a stretch too far.

It’s not shirk to ask a disabled person for water in your presence but it’s dhulm. They could have potentially been able with extreme difficulty. The dead have a 0% possibility of aiding you because Allah says in the Quran the dead can’t hear nor benefit

He misrepresent us in his videos and says we are the deviant group. How can that make sense when our scholars goes back all the way to the Sahabas and our beliefs came from those of Sahabas yet somehow they follow Shaykh ibn Taymiyyah who came up with different beliefs around 700 years ago happens to be on haqq and all the earlier scholars of Sunni Islam were not. Isn't that what all the deviant groups of the past said? Shaykh Haroun, Can you please share your sources for Amr ibn Luhayy's innovations? In Ibn Ishaq, I read that he introduced idols from Syria -- the justsifications you say he gave (we are not holy enough to approach Allah, etc.) were not in that text. Where di this narrative you gave about him and his ideas come from? My understanding is that he just brought these idols out of imitation of the Syrians. Thanks!
