KTM SUPERDUKES 1290R VS DUCATI BAYLISS {A KTM SANDWHICH}
I want one as a daily driver.
So what actually needs to be done to run this exhaust? Will a dealer install the exhaust or am I shit out of luck in getting it installed? I keep hearing about the blinkers but not sure what needs to be modified to get it to work properly.
Great bike made me a better rider, could beat 1000cc bikes around the twisty
The 77 BHP output was for Switzerland. Depending on which country, 100 BHP @ the wheel was more normal for a stock bike. Kitted with stock carbs they made around 125 @ the wheel. Honda made 4.782 in total.
You got the wrong machine dummy.thats gene church on Lucifer's hammer
Just do a servo delete lol I removed mine and bike runs perfect. 😊
Just seen Michael Dunlop smash the super twins at the TT on this. Absolutely beautiful
I would work at Suter for minimum wage just to be near this bike.
I didn't get it about the blinkers. If you have a full exhaust without a flash the front blinkers aren't working?
It looks ok but that front end looks like a design from the 1960s lol
Did you have to do a SAS delete to install it? Dealer is telling me you do Rottweiler is telling me the Akra map turns it off and doesn't need to be deleted? Also what did you do with the O2 sensor?
Duhamal crashed on the last lap at Brainard while leading. That was the best race for the Harley. They should have stayed in road racing longer than they did.
I am also seeing this gem from the Ride 4 game. Too bad I'm only on pace with the CBR 300R for the Southern 100 at the moment. While the game doesn't come close to doing the SR1 justice for a proven race winner, its suspension settings have proven invaluable
it was a turd that just would not flush.
Just so you know it’s a race exhaust. If you want your local dealer to flash it. You have to trailer your bike in to and out of the dealership. If you’re dealer pushes back have them call there ktm rep to confirm this is a track bike and it will be trailed in and out. The ktm rep will give the dealer the ok install and flash the Akra race map.
Harley Davidson has Alzheimers disease.
Crown Victoria? Laughing my ass off!
Remember when that pile ran intermittently at Daytona and Russell coasted it into the hot pit and before the “chain-drive wallet” Motor Company crew could crawl over the wall Russell dropped that turd on the ground and retired to his motor home! 🤣
Does anybody know how to pronounce Porsche correctly? Geez
I remember these turds. It had all the looks of a bike from the. 70’s in the 90’s. I remember telling Scott Russel sorry he had to ride that thing at mid Ohio.
So i have been looking and searching for any literature regarding any austin racing products breaking and so far i cant find any. If anyone has found something please send a link
I saw this bike in TT in 2018 , very beautiful machine.
Smokey Yunick said it himself... "the throttle bodies are too big...."
Did the AKRA come with new mounting hardware or does it use the hardware from the standard exhaust
Bt-MOTO has a flash
Learn how pronounce Paton! You sound like a 10 year old!
The VR would have been a great bike if they had kept making them, I do love the baggers racing, and they're not that much slower than the sports bikes on tracks, and that takes some skill to do
The race baggers are pretty far off the pace of the 1000cc sportbikes.
Simply the best ...
I was really thinking of getting Austin racing as #1 option for SDR but this quality shit made me think twice... What you recommend? Spark looks good, akra is also good option but need to get that relay for blinkers.
Did you not delete the sas??
This proves harley could bring the bronx to life...and they choose disappointment everytime. The pan am is proof they can do something new and we would accept it.
I gotta say.... even tho the v rod got trashed on back then... the new gen (that includes me) are a lot more open to new idea and new bikes. The old way of thinking is def being slowly fazed out
The enduro/mx RFS engine was inspired by the LC4, and it shows. That engine was also a technological achievement and was very impressive for its time. It is still a really good engine (probably one of the most reliable high performance engines put in a dirt bike in recent times). Great video as well!
Can you still buy these?
Can I ̶c̶r̶a̶s̶h̶ ride it?
I ran in to one of these in the early 1970's in Vancouver, WA I had just started roadracing, one of my friend has one of the 500's in his garage, it was owned by a Swede named Bo Gustafson or something like that, he was a engineer and had ridden the bike at the Isle of Mann it was a basket case at that time. I being a machinist was very impressed by the machine work of the engine, I remember that the cams had a taper on the end that fit to the drive gear so there was infinite adjustability for the timing, Well to make a long story short old Bo put it together and took it to PIR (portland, or ) the next race and got it started, it was about the loudest 4 stroke I have ever heard. I think he sold it to a guy called Wheelchair Larry from Portland.
Looked it up rode TT in 1967 DNF, If i remember the story he just got it and holed a piston, it had those Del Ortho remote float GP carbs.
The MotoGp Ducati is a single crank, the MMX is twin crank so the gyroscopic effect is cancelled
That bike wasnt capable of racing with factory bikes. I did end the careers of top riders though. Harley..wanted the sound and look of a harley. That was harleys down fall. Soooo..racing sanctioning bodies formed harley only classes or gave harley huge advantages.aka drag bikes. Its sad harley should have been innovative and racing. They build cruisers NOT performance bikes.
"10yrs from start to finish is unheard of"? bullshit! a start-up company can get to market faster than an established company, how the hell would they survive for 10yrs with zero returns? on top of that the market could & most likely will change in 10yrs.
I remember this one.
I must have one.
Honda & Yamaha sold GP bikes to the public.....
This would be the first thing on my list to buy if I won the lottery.
Legendary 👑
Great video. Never heard of these. Wonderful story!
Straight line jockeys . You don't need a lot of skill to do that. Just a brain that doesn't work all that well when riding like this in public roads. Problem is, young guys look up to these fools, start riding like this without any experience or gear on a bike that is way too powerful for them, and they end up crashing and dying. Every year it's the same, guys that become statistics and give other riders a bad name.UA-cam makes it even worse.
You're welcome fucker
Not sure why the old Harley boys don't like the v-rod, it's popular everywhere outside the u.s. I like my 03 v-rod, definitely won't perform as great as any of my sport bikes but still enjoyable to ride.
Imagine if that bike required a $40,000 engine rebuild every 3000Km 😢
Love Patons. At £42k a pop, they are not cheap. They have the best sounding 650 on the Island. (Looking forward to hearing them again for real next week!!)
