Originally made to be a part of my now postponed "FumeiCon" live event, here is a playthrough of Sonic's story in Sonic Adventure I recorded with @iceepenguigo . I know a lot of people play this game but I just really like to put a spotlight on the sound design whenever I can!

I was watching Dragon Ball Z on Amazon Prime and it was fine but some episodes had different voices like Krillin, Vegeta, and others it sounded way off
I did not expect that ending😂
Where did you buy this I can’t find it anywhere
@@IbrahimXgamez I preordered it from Best Buy
@@FumeiComTV oh ok 👍
Can you believe Space Pirate Captain Harlock 78 had a complete, imperfect but still good dub in french in the late 70's, early 80's.
As a speaker of Japanese, I don't understand why people like you insist on having to use the Japanese terms if all you do is absolutely butcher it. This video is language cancer.
I was hoping UA-cam would classify this as a "short" but I guess that's a luck of the draw sort of thing
It has to be under a minute
you cheated. broke the system. never watch weebs like you guys. this still made it onto my recommends
@@mantizshrimp okay
GIVE US ENGLISH CHA LA HEAD CHA LA WE WANT ENGLISH CHA LA HEAD CHA LA
I can hear some misinformation about the ocean dub they did not keep the original Japanese music but instead they got Ron Wesserman/ Shuki Levy to compose the music for that dub
They had the Japanese music for the uncut moives (only on dvd to my knowledge)
The idea that there were bootleg dubs of dragonball z going around is insane to me for some reason
the sentence "Super Pac Man knocked me down the stairs" is wild to hear
Serious question, am I really the only person that likes "Step Into The Grand Tour"?
The Wonder Boy / Adventure Island / Whomp 'Em family tree sure is an oddity. Kinda wish they got Master Higgins into Wonder Boy Returns or Remix and call it "Wonder Boy in Adventure Island". Would've been a fun way to present that history.
It would be hard for Konami to bring back the Adventure Island games, since Master Higgins was based on a real person. They're too cheap to pay royalties for his likeness. Plus, I think the current owners of Wonder Boy are paying more attention to the series to the point where even the first game is being acknowledged by them.
5:38 you did not just say cyan
6:00 the manual explicitly tells you to look for the Hudson Bee in the first level
THERE IS ONLY 1 DUB!!! THAT'S THE SAME ONE AS DRAGONBALL AND DRAGONBALL Z KAI AND EVERYTHING AFTER THAT'S ON FUNIMATIONS DVD AND BLU RAY!!
New Adventure Island is the best.
So I think it’s safe to say that Dragon Ball Z Kai had the best English dub of them all. Maybe even the best English dub in anime history.
All hail thundertrunks.
OMG, I’ve been looking for the Harmony Gold version forever, mainly because I remember the theme so vividly.
5:13 this reminds me of Ben 10, secrets of the omnitrix
Oh hey, you're the one who published that remaster of this film. I want to thank you as it is the bases for a fandub I been working on
The back boys!
Speedy Video's logo is as good as their dubs.
i like the one where king kai says the word "cappachino" he says it only once and i'm not telling you which, good luck.
Hey there Swell Guy, where are the links for the music tracks? ^^
The TFS abridge is the only english dub I watch.
7:06 ok, first I love Maya. She was cute, represented the future, and in my headcannon she joins Harlock after she turns into an adult. But, they killed her off? REALLY?! That's just wrong on so many levels. Let's ignore how this basically kills the plot, and point out this kills all meaning in the story.
8:45 It's the original Japanese soundtrack, sure, but I guarantee the majority of people who say it's "awesome" are just saying that for weeb points. The original soundtrack fits the series, sure, but awesome? The original sounds incredibly dated for an anime that was being produced in the early 90s. The score for Dragon Ball fits it well as it's focus was martial arts and lighthearted comedy, but once it jumps to DBZ the show changes in tone and the original soundtrack just doesn't work with it. DBZ became more sci fi than fantasy and the original score doesn't work well with scifi.
O que está insinuando?
@@rhuanlucas2151I'm implying that the original music sounded outdated and unfitting even for it's time. If you prefer it, that's fine, but it's not deserving of being described as "awesome" and I think it's misleading to people who have not seen the anime to refer to it as awesome. It gives them a predisposition in regards to the music and may cause some to never even give the Funi dubs soundtrack a chance which I think is doing a disservice to the community. I think newcomers should give the dub a chance and also watch the original with subs. Watching both and deciding for yourself is the best way, rather than being pressured by fellow fans. Sub elitists have always been a problem when it comes to anime. Some dubs are indeed awful and should be avoided, but to say all dubs are bad is not true.
@@rhuanlucas2151 Or he’s saying it because it’s his opinion
I had all the original VHS Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z there's only 68 episodes from Dragon Ball to Dragon Ball Z I didn't get Dragon Ball GT I didn't like that shit
My favorite Era 1995-2004

Adventure island 4 was my fav game, playing it untranslated on a famiclone. Btw the 'glitch' you mentioned in the minigames is due to lack of fruits. Minigame difficulty is decided by no of fruits and its basically impossible without a fruit in some games.
vous connaissez ab production je suis choqué bravo a vous
I can bet you anything why the dinosaurs were limited to nes and gameboy games. Marketing controls management, and management controls development. Management doesnt understand or play games, and doesnt care about the end result, they just want the most money possible. So they listen to marketing. Marketing also doesnt play or understand games, and all they have to work with to try to understand them is sales numbers. If we look at the adventure island games, the first one sold really well. Why? Well, it was an ok game, and there wasnt a lot of competition at the time of it coming out. It was the right kind of game at the right time on the right system. When the sequels came out, the NES was swamped with titles, and other, hotter systems were out. The sequels were better titles, but they weren't positioned to do well. So the conclusion management comes to is, the quality of the game is directly tied to sales numbers only. "Gamers hated the inventory system, the overworld, the dinosaurs. Get rid of all that stuff. Just remake the original." This is what killed the series. If they had allowed the developers to just progress with the series as they had been, they could have produced something truly great with their SNES debut, and cultivated a fan base around the series. Now, with the SNES sequel turning into an action RPG, i cant even imagine what happened there. Thats the opposite problem: a very bold move, but a little too weird. Thats more like a reskin of a totally different game than a sequel. Hudson was not Nintendo. Nintendo generally puts the product first, and trusts it will sell. It also balances innovation with spiritual faithfulness to a series.
Great show, I saw it in French in the 80s. So the music never sounds "right" in English.
What a journey!! Thank you for your efforts!
DRAGON DRAGON BALL DRAGON BALL ZEEEEEEE DRAGON DRAGON BALL ZEEEEEEEEEEEEE
So I wanted to express my appreciation for this video. I’ve argued for decades that the first Ziv Harlock dub was a perfectly fine job. Further, I believe if the entire series had been dubbed in this manner it would be one of the key anime dubs for a generation. But it was not to be. The same might be said of the Captain Future dub. It suffered the same fate as Harlock, a decent quality dub on the first tape, trash on the second. As to those second, junk dub tapes the answer is obvious. FHE got good sales from the rental stores who wanted more. Not knowing who did the work they just contracted with some foreign film dubbing company and gave little oversight to the project. They didn’t have the Japanese music & effects track so just lay down what they could make. It’s not too different from what happened with the third series of Star Blazers. It’s frustrating that there is basically nothing known about this dub, let alone just how did Ziv stumble over this and decided to try and put it out to the American TV market. I have some ideas about what was going on but no way to prove anything. It ties to the mystery of just how did Toei anime explode all over Europe around 1978. And I may be out of my mind on this theory. 😁 I LOVE that first Ziv tape. If it hadn’t been a ‘rental priced’ tape at a time when I was struggling I would have gladly bought it. So wait, you say William Winkler did a ‘movie’ cut of Harlock at the same time he was doing some of the ex-Force Five shows? I don’t ever recall hearing of that! It slipped completely past my radar. Thanks for the knowledge!
It’s entirely possible they licensed the music. As much shady stuff went on in the crazy world of home video, a company like Celebrity wouldn’t be likely to risk the huge fines.
