    From memory. Hall and Oats do a similar thing with I Can’t Go For That Verse is Dorian (the happy minor) The chorus does a majorish sounding line cliche . C Cmaj7 C7 and I play an Fmaj7 (on guitar)

    This is exactly the same thing as we did in classical music and what people adore about it. The tension releases and becomes consonant again. Dissonant->consonant and so on

    Isn't that just a key change from C to Cm?

    • @dr.guyshkolnik_composer
      @dr.guyshkolnik_composer День тому

      The mirror of is C is Cm, but the mirror of Am is Eb Major for example. So yes we move to the Cm but the mirror chords Em - Ab or Dm - Bb, is what makes the mirror progression interesting. C - Am becomes Cm - Eb etc.

    Thank you for your expert analysis of another beautiful Pat/Lyle composition. Lyle's intro piece has always struck me as if he was channeling Erik Satie. It has a very impressionistic quality about it. The impressionist period is one of my favorites for composers and definitely painters.

    Well for one, our wage structure is NOTHING like the US so not really an apples to apples comparison. Canada seems to be a wannabe rich country but still pays its workers like it is a poor country. Capital gains tax the way it is now being thrust on people is simply wrong. It is designed to keep those at the extreme top where they are and remove wealth from everyone else. Freeland is completely tone deaf as she has probably NEVER had to suffer for anything. Then again maybe if we all gave up Disney Plus we would have more money in our pockets! The corruption of those in government is now right in your face and they don’t care that you know
