SmallRig RC 30B LED Spotlight Review
The offering in compact, focusable, bi-color, LED spotlights is quite limited and seeing SmallRig recent release of such light at less than $100 caught my attention. Of course, at this price, don't expect miracles but no other light in that price range offers the kind of control and light quality the RC 30B has. Hopefully, SmallRig will improve the yoke and barn doors soon.

Siren 17 - Keel Quick Lock System Test

I made this modification on my Siren 17 to quickly and easily lock the keel in its fully extended position. This is mainly a safety issue to prevent the keel to swing back in the hull and turtle the boat in case of broaching.

it seems to me that if you want better barndoor, wider range, better yoke, etc. you get the Godox s30 or even the s60Bi. These are compatible with Dedo accesories. Or elese there are Aputure options. They cost more, but are much better built, and have a world of accessiores.
Do it come with the Stan too to hold the light
Why are people so stupid
Very informative review, thank you for sharing.
What’s the fan noise like? Is it constant, or does it vary based on output or thermostat? Can it run fanless at low brightness?
I think the fan is always on but totally inaudible. Not an issue.
By the way, to address the issue of the dented yoke and not being able to adjust the light tilt angle precisely, I inserted a small rubber washer in the tightening mechanism and that did the trick.
Nice review. Looks like a great option, but I am turned off by the cheapness of it. But looks like a great travel option at its price point.
Thanks for showing❤
Looks like it sucks! Sorry
Great instruction! How do you know how high to place a fixed gooseneck yoke on the mast? I purchased a Siren 17, and it appears to be missing the yoke (maybe it was a sliding yoke and was lost??) The gentleman from whom I purchased it does not recall how the gooseneck was connected to the mast. Is the height a function of the specific sail dimensions? or is there a standard height up from the bottom of the boom, for a fixed yoke? Again, great video(s).
Thanks! I think all Sirens have the same mast height (20' I think...) and the boom center sits 18" above the base of the mast. I'd go with that.
I had the same issue with my 2015 NC700X DCT. This all happened at 16,000 miles. The issue was intermittent at first. I changed the battery and it improved for while. But it returned. Then I discovered that the clutch oil pressure sensor harness was plugged into the #2 clutch oil pressure sensor and vice versa. This is an assembly defect. That correction got the bike started and moving again for a short while. But the issue returned. Finally I change the ratio control motor or gear shift motor for $200. The issue has then been completely eliminated. I took apart the DC motor and found black deposits on the armature contacts. I think if I clean it, I can use the motor as a spare.
Hi, I think if you add the cable to your mockup you will see the answer to your question ... the cable restricts the movement of the centerboard and prevents it from pivoting forward beyond the length it is extended. Take a look down the hole for the cable from the cockpit and you will also see a pin that guides the cable preventing it from slowly slicing a slot in the boat as the centerboard is actuated. While sailing, if the cable is humming, you can put your finger on the cable and feel the vibrations corresponding to the humming; like a guitar string. I assume that water is the lubricant for the guide pin to reduce wear. Also, the centerboard when fully extended is vertical. Rus.
You just have to keep pulling the chain forward. Dull but essential!
Great idea! What I used was just two plugs on either side of the hole and it was bone dry. I marked on the wire when the swing keel would be in position to add the sheer pin, so I can just lower it to that point and then go to the cabin and take out the plugs and insert the sheer pin. I unfortunately didn’t use a sheer pin, I used a thick steel bolt, and three days ago I ran aground and destroyed the fiberglass in the boat.
really like what you have done in rigging the siren,, Just purchased a 1975 and have sailed it a couple times but plan on updating the old rigging with new and am planning following what you have done,,, appreciate your post,, I think I can see all the hardware you have used,,is there anything else you would recommend? Thanks again,,,sail# 1137.
I have a '76 Siren with most running rigging missing. I'd like to know more details on how your rigging is set up, especially the mainsheets.
what was the prblem??

Hi, i have NC700 D Integra. its also with DCT. (Problem need to be solved) The problem happens mostly when i start driving the bike for the 1st half an hour, after i stop at the traffic light, and when the gear starts going down to gear 1 or N ( I hear the same clicking noise as in the video) but it fails to return to standby mode and then,i see on the display this dash blinking, but if i switch off the engine and start the bike again, it works and return directly to N mode as i started the engine. The problem is then very rare to happen after driving more than 30 , or 40 min. I found out also, when this problem starts at the traffic light, if i give gas to just move the bike forward, it works and goes to 1 or N mode and stop blinking. Anyone knows what it could be? Here what i have did: Ratio control Motor changed. oil with less viscosity filled, then original oil filled.+ Battery still good adjusting rpm to 1200 but the bike still have the same problem. Thanks in advance

yeah, DCT...
Hi Mariusz,Did you solve the problem?
Nice video! Where in Maryland is this?
The technique used here is "looks like" but isn't. The double polling is weak with both skiers. The trail looks beautiful. Do not use these two skiers as examples of good skating technique. Both could use some good lessons. But they're having fun and that's what its all about!
Why does it fart when the baffle is out? Everything tightened well?
Nobody removes the BAFFLE but the do remove the DB KILLER. To answer your question is that the DB KILLER is held in with a screw. The hole that is left when you remove the DB KILLER is making that whistling sound. I got rid of that by putting the bolt back in with a nut on the inside and shaved the bolt flush with the nut.
не клёво, техника на двойку, просто ужас
Those people are not doing bad but frankly, there's place for progress... Starting with the polling part while climbing. As long as they enjoy and not taking themselfs too seriously.
