Trap (2024) M. Night Shyamalan - Movie Review
Sam acted like he wasn't give a chance to hold his baby and that they took it away - as a father he had all the right to hold him - in his shock and his guilt he hid something from her - lied actually about the boys' death so doing that separated him from the person who shouldn't have been told what went down. This whole series is about lies and deceit so how can anything good come out of that? It had great twists and turns, excitement, intense acting scene that everyone blew out of the park, believable and so heartwrenching. Another great Shonda masterpiece with everyone on board to make it so entertaining.
Hi, I'm from Germany, so if course I knew Robbie Williams 😅. Personally, I took him seriously as a musician since "swing when you're winning". Still can recommend it. Before that album, he was always a good party hit. Born late 70s, so I know his career stages, but not as a big fan. I agree with your analysis, this could become a cult classic. Even in Germany the ads are not that interesting. But he gave some really cool interviews - so I knew, that I would like to see this movie.
Hallo! I wish the trailer had made this movie look more intriguing because people are missing out. I can wait to watch it again because I've been listening to the album on repeat. Danke!
Screaming at the characters on the TV reminds me of a person who would be screaming at the TV and be an armchair QB while watching a sports game. 😆
Very much the same
Sometimes I tend to do that as well. 😅
Rewatched this today and cried multiple times! It is beautiful from the cast, storyline, and writing overall a great film.
It was very sweet
Missed the opportunity to show how these Dads in the movie tend to be absent from supporting their family.
@TG5455 It was really giving dad erst out for milk vibes
That Jonathan Majors sinners theory is actually a really good one and I can totally see that happening. Yes! I’m also a big fan of the live action Little mermaid. I don’t get to hate. The Michael Jackson movie makes me nervous. Because like you mentioned a lot of the movies before have not been good. And it’s very difficult to translate such an enigmatic character. This is my first time hearing about Sneaks and I’m all in. Danielle Deadwyler is incredible! So I’m looking forward to The Woman in The Yard Great list. Funny thing about Mickey 17 is that it was on my 2024 most anticipated list lol
I look forward to y’all’s live discussions more than the actual episodes 💀
Yeah, I definitely hit over 250, with a job 😅 it's certainly a past time; but I wouldn't recommend people do the same because if you don't genuinely have the time or interest to watch so many, I'm sure it'll feel like a chore for some people. I'm just fortunate to have the time. Interesting take on Majors btw. I do look forward to Sinners. If this is good, Ryan will be 5 for 5 for me, and he will make my list of favorite directors working right now. Considering my issues with Disney, I limit how many I watch per year. I'll look out for your review on Snow White before checking it out. Coleman Domingo does fantastic in every role, but I am iffy on biopics. We shall see how that goes though, especially with a good director and cast. Coogler and Peele are the two directors who I will support no matter what. I'm here for all the work. Got all Peele's work on Blu-ray! Looking forward to the year. Last year, I saw movies that were fantastic, but overall was a bit underwhelmed compared to previous years. Hopefully this year is a much greater surprise ✨
Yes. I need to up my numbers. My best years are when I get to teach my film studies class, but this year, I didn't have enough students enrolled. 😭
Coogler is doing a great job. Also, looking forward to seeing them expand
@@HerReelReview hopefully more people enroll! I'm sure it's fun teaching something you have a personal interest in
Cabin In The Sky was very funny & it flowed perfectly within the story. Definitely one of my favorite films from the 1940s
It is a perfect blend of comedy and drama.
It's a very similar plot to Amanda the adventurer the game but maded into a movie which is really good ❤❤❤
I'll look into this
Both women's performances were outstanding, and Jessica was my favorite. The husbands were astonishingly ignorant.
I loooved this movie.
While I thought the movie was beautifully shot and well acted I also felt like the narrative left a lot to be desired.
Agreed. I will need to watch this one again to see if it improves on a second watch
It was a really good film.
What's your favorite Jessica Chastain or Anne Hathaway performance?
Not only should we make a Boondocks movie, The Culture needs Donald Glover to make a Goof Troupe-like film and Spike Lee to make a "Do The Right Thing" series. Additionally, the HBCU Hogwarts clips should be compiled into a film. Thanks for the ideas.
Yes! I need someone to at minimum do a HBCU Hogwarts web series
I saw it and enjoyed it for all the reasons you mention. Nice review.
I am so glad you enjoyed it!
What's going on with you? Time to check-in!
What's on your 2025 Watchlist?
There are too many +'s nowadays and it's hard to keep track of what services we have and don't have, you have to check the money balance to see if anyone wants to keep supporting it. It's nuts.
Right! It's exhausting!
Hate to say it but you wonder why some people would go to ☠️ sites to watch it rather than pay for all of the streaming services per month. I understand that ☠️ is wrong but it saves money for someone that had to pay rent or a bill.
@TG5455 Yes. It makes it tempting because we reverted from the original plan
@@HerReelReview It's risky for anyone to do that but it is what it is.
I don't use TikTok but from some of the stuff I see from there, there is a lot of crazy stuff. I remember a video from 9-months ago that Aba & Preach made and they were talking about a teen who got on top of an 18-wheeler truck without permission he was trying to do dance moves on top of it while it was moving for the TikTok views and then the kid got seriously hurt from getting hit by a bridge and passed away after that.
Oh goodness! I have so many things blocked on my TikTok that I mostly only see Beyonce fan recordings, movie and tv reviews and commentary, some pop culture stuff, and teacher jokes!
TikTok is fine, I don't use it but I don't know why these young people would go ×10 with these crazy ways to get attention.
At least with The Little Mermaid remake, it got me interested in seeing how it goes whether it's good or bad (I was having doubts at first because I thought that they would screw up the story somewhat but after watching the movie, I was happy to see that it was good) I'll be honest, I could care less about the Snow White remake, it doesn't get me interested like The Little Mermaid remake did.
Snow White is the Disney princess I like the least; so I'm hope the changes make her story interesting. Of course I love Halle, but to be honest as good as her version was The Little Mermaid is one of the better Princess storylines (until we get to Mulan and Moana). So I had no clue what they were gonna do with that. Rob Marshall did a good job, but it was already a good story. Snow White was made at the end of the silent era and has very little dialogue, just some narration and singing. So They have a chance to make it good. I wish they had used real little people but everyone is afraid of cancel culture and I think Peter Dinklage's initial outrage scare Disney in the wrong direction.
@HerReelReview I agree they should have gotten real little people like Jason Acuña (Wee-Man) and others for the biggest break of their careers but we don't, sadly.
Looking forward to Sinners and the untitled film that Trey Parker, Matt Stone...Kendrick Lamar and Dave Free are going to do a film together as producers and Trey Parker is also going to direct this unnamed project that's coming out this year, looking forward to seeing how that goes.
I forgot all about the Kendrick movie... I'm not a big Trey and Matt fan. I never really got into SouthPark like that. Sinners better be good. I will literally cry if its bad.
@@HerReelReview Well, I'm a fan of Trey and Matt's work like South Park and I'm very curious about how that goes. 😉
Avatar: Fire And Ash Elio The Spongebob Movie: Search For Squarepants How To Train Your Dragon The Amateur Companion The Accountant 2 Superman The Battle Of Baktan Cross Freakiern Friday Jurassic World Rebirth The Day The Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie Wolf Man Mickey 17
This is a good list. I am not a huge DC fan, but the Superman trailer looks promising. Definitely Mickey 17 (no more setbacks in release fingers-crossed). I didn't watch the other Avatar movies. The first movie was such a singular experience and I wish they hadn't made the sequels, but just re-released it in IMAX or something for folks who never watched the first. But I'll trust you that it was probably good.
That ending left loop holes like why they all see the empty coffin when it ends the way it did.
I took it to reflect the idea that so much of life is inexplicable.
I assume one of the coffins was empty because one person was playing mind games with the others. That person has a line of dialogue where he said "I just did it because I was mad", which suggests the mind games. There is also a question of whether the story ends the way it seems to. Is the final twist/reveal actually what happened? Which one was the hallucination? The whole movie is meant to be ambiguous where you're never sure what's going on.
Good review. Just saw it in theaters.
Thank you! I hope you enjoyed it!
So wait, was it boring but beautiful?
If you're not a fan of period piece ghost stories in a similar vein... yes! LOL!
Planning to see it this week 😮 after seven in imax is it a good movie or is it a stinky 😮
It's intentionally slow. Have you seen it yet? Let me know what you think.
I wish Mr. Cocker would have been real to kill my mother in the 70’s during that horrible divorce she put my poor sister and I through.
I despise this movie. It had so much potential and then became absolutely nonsensical. I felt like I was watching a theater students project film
The first half was good... that last 20 was ridiculous.
I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this movie. It has some cute moments and really funny moments as well. I absolutely love Jordy!!
I really think it was the best holiday release this year.
All his co star's are gorgeous, smart, and fierce. He knows how to pick them.
What happened at the end?
I didn’t understand the ending
I didn’t understand the ending
I'm glad that Perry decided to place a spot light on these heroic women.
Merry Christmas. 🎄
@@TG5455 MERRY CHRISTMAS Back atcha friend
@HerReelReview Thank you. 😊👍
I'll check it out but I don't know if I'm going to make a video about it yet because I am not sure if I want to talk about a TP movie again after Divorce In The Black. I have to build myself up for the mood of watching/reviewing Six Triple Eight if that makes sense.
@TG5455 absolutely...
@@HerReelReview I'm going to do it in '25 for sure. 😉
Great review and Happy Anniversary! 😊
Thank you so much! 😊
I watched The Six Triple Eight over the weekend. I thought it was a good movie and a great effort on Tyler Perry's part because he hasn't been produced a good movie in a while. I agree that if he had gotten a writer to help him, the movie would have been better, but I don't think he will ever give up that control. I know that he told it from Lena's perspective because he met her and maybe that is why it focused on her and he couldn't tell the other women's story because Lena didn't know or remember enough about them to give a back story on them. I hope one day someone picks up the mantle and tells Captain Charity Adams she was a very interesting person, I would love to know more about her.
Yes. It was a solid effort on his part. These are the types of movies he should be making more of...
@@pamelamurrell825 me too💕
Well, if this is a Best Picture contender, what happens if this movie doesn't get a nomination? 🤔
I think it may get a few...it's starting to pick up some traction
I don't mind the idea of doing anything outside of the Holiday box while in the Holiday setting (if that makes sense) as long as the idea is well-executed.
It had moments, but I think it needed a bit more in the character development
How about Die Hard. 😄
Uhh...Man, that's a tough one. Let's go with Jack Frost (the one with Michael Kenton) with the hideout that his son goes to. Yeah, that counts right? 😅
