I watched The Six Triple Eight over the weekend. I thought it was a good movie and a great effort on Tyler Perry's part because he hasn't been produced a good movie in a while. I agree that if he had gotten a writer to help him, the movie would have been better, but I don't think he will ever give up that control. I know that he told it from Lena's perspective because he met her and maybe that is why it focused on her and he couldn't tell the other women's story because Lena didn't know or remember enough about them to give a back story on them. I hope one day someone picks up the mantle and tells Captain Charity Adams she was a very interesting person, I would love to know more about her.
I'll check it out but I don't know if I'm going to make a video about it yet because I am not sure if I want to talk about a TP movie again after Divorce In The Black. I have to build myself up for the mood of watching/reviewing Six Triple Eight if that makes sense.
I'm glad that Perry decided to place a spot light on these heroic women.
