Musical advisors like Rick Ruben have done more for music than you ever will, he’s with these artists during the initial creation process of making their music, he encourages and expands the artists mindset on what they can do artistically and musically, Rick encouraged and planted the seeds for so many hits and not just with hip hop artists, System of a Down Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Strokes, so many bands have Rubin’s advice given and they’ve all come up with masterpieces in their own regards. To say he does nothing is insulting.

As a sensitive person who was never affirmed by my caregivers, plus living in the shadow of older siblings who were often quite critical, I have been very fearful to share my art especially if it's not "perfect". But I'm now I've decided to start sharing whether it's perfect or not and doing that is an act of rebellion and supporting that inner child who never felt affirmed with her art. make art or die!
