I grew up in North Vancouver, Canada in a new develpment called Windsor park. At that time (early 60's) there were only a few streets, We were on Plymouth Drive but the house behind us was on Hartford Cresecent. So it was more than interesting to find out I'm a direct descendent of William Kelsey, one of the Hooker 100.

My family had an old ships clock that was made out of brass that was made by the Waterbury Clock Company. It was very heavy.

there is no mentiion of st. anthony of padua church on acushnet avenue, started in 1902 and completed in 1912. st. anthony's is an major parish started by a tight-knit community of french community. the makers of this video should be ashamed of forgetting such a generous, well-loved parish with a wonderful history in the community!

Well, I truly appreciate the history lesson, you are truly not showing the devastation and the horrible neighborhoods that are in Waterbury now. It is an utter shame that the city has turned into a slum for the most part. You are only showing the areas in the city that are nice. Areas that are not so nice you have vague pictures.

This was a great video. I still live in Lowell, Ma. We have a rich history here in Lowell. Our mill city was the 1st of its kind here in America. My family came here from Canada and lived in Little Canada. Both of my grandmothers worked in the mills and became friends. My parents met when they were babies. Now I am raising my family here. I am a Lowell girl at❤

I’m from the original worcester in England. Always wondered about our twin town in the US; obviously there is far more history here but looks a lovely place I would like to visit one day soon.

My ancestor George Pardee came to New Haven in 1644, escaping Taunton England having been wounded in the civil war. He eventually was one of the first headmasters of the Hopkins Grammar School. The Pardee name is still in town. Thank you for screening this.

I love this place so much! Growing up as a child my family used to take me here all the time. This is my favorite beach in the whole world. Such a unique fun place. There's nothing quite like Hampton Beach. It has a special place in my heart

I remember when what is now the downtown shopping center & Wal Mart was the rail yard & roundhouse. Back then, Wales Street was paved with cobblestones and trolley rails ran down the center of it.

Impressive slideshow... trying to imagine a better historical soundtrack instead of the synthesized sounding harpish guitar and electronic almost whale sound echoes... Too many kinds of ethnic and pop-periods music to be fairly representational, so maybe clocks ticking.. metal-machinery noises, splashing river water.. clanking trolleys, traffic sounds, the squeak of the Elton Hotel revolving door, multidenominational church echoes in English, Latin and more; bells and chimes, many footsteps and multi-accented voices in crowds, laughter, applause, higher speed sounds of traffic leaving town.

The Community College of Vermont (CCV) was labeled as an electrical company, otherwise a very nice job.

Let's not forget that the Merrimack River was the largest superfund site in the U.S. in the 1970s and 80s...Heavily polluted by tannery operations, and mills stretching North past Concord, NH.

The stones used to build St. Ann's (my former church) were dug by hand from the canals by Irish immigrants.
