    good info Im 1 year into notion and just starting to understand it and use it properly- its a powerful tool the new features added recently make it even better/ I just started using it it to manage projects as i have a few things im working on on. Still getting comfortable with that part of it . Of course i downloaded a template for projects mgmt. but i did edit it to meet my needs

      I love starting with a template and then adjusting based on my needs. It was helpful in the beginning and it’s still helpful now, especially when I find templates that utilize features I may not have used before. I like being able to look at the configuration from the template and essentially take it apart or create it from scratch in my own way. Thanks for watching!! 😊

    Thank you so much for making this video!! I have missed so many opportunities to celebrate myself… hitting financial and body goals, passing board exams, getting degrees… I just treat them all like regular days. I don’t even make plans for my birthdays. 😭 I love the idea of writing myself cards and even rewarding myself with gift cards for future goals. I’m also going to add some champagne for special milestones! Thanks again and I’m sending intentions that your videos reach more people. They are so well done!

    I think I need help with setting up rewards/celebrations. I always think that hitting the goal will be the reward but it isn’t proving to be reinforcing enough. How do you decide what to reward yourself with or how to celebrate?

    • @balancedbusinesscoach
      @balancedbusinesscoach Місяць тому

      This is a great question. I think the biggest thing to consider when deciding how you will celebrate is what the goal is. I personally would not choose “celebrations” that are going to set me back in my goal so that eliminates some of my options. The next thing I’d consider is what are some of the things you received when others celebrated you as a child that made you feel proud of your accomplishment. For me it was flowers whenever I performed. Now when I hit new milestones, I buy myself flowers and it’s like a little celebration every time I see them.

    What’s notion what’s burnout

    • @balancedbusinesscoach
      @balancedbusinesscoach Місяць тому

      Hey Tommy-- Notion is essentially a workspace app, where you can take notes, create Databases, configure automations, collaborate and project plan. Its fairly comprehensive in all that it can do! Burnout is a phenomenon that happens when a person has an imbalance between their personal and/or professional demands and their available resources. It causes stress, overwhelm, and eventually causes negative mental and physical symptoms.

    You don't become resilient by avoiding such small challenges as words you don't like. You don't cultivate strength by removing challenges. The better solution is to stop pushing crap like this and normalize being an adult.

    • @balancedbusinesscoach
      @balancedbusinesscoach 6 місяців тому

      You also don't become resilient by being verbally abused and belittled. There is a huge difference between giving feedback and sh*tting on employees. Just because a leader is respectful and careful with their words doesn't mean they are removing challenges for their employees.

    • @Andres9632
      @Andres9632 6 місяців тому

      That’s actually exactly how people become resilient. Overcomming and tolerating aversive stimuli is the name of the game. I would know, I’m a behavior analyst and creating resilience is my daily job.

    • @balancedbusinesscoach
      @balancedbusinesscoach 6 місяців тому

      @@Andres9632 The resiliency isn’t built because of the abuse, it’s built because of the strong relationships that person has, their mindset and outlook on life, their self-confidence, etc., DESPITE the abuse, so they are able to overcome it. Leaders should be contributing to the building of resiliency, not trying to break it.

    • @Andres9632
      @Andres9632 6 місяців тому

      Despite the abuse is correct. Without aversive stimuli is incorrect. That’s like saying you can tolerate being tired while running a 25k without ever experiencing being tired because you have a strong relationship with your coach that built up your self confidence. If there is no aversive stimuli, there is nothing to overcome and you’re hoping that the person’s natural tolerance is enough instead of reliably building the skill through exposure. Abuse in the workplace definitely leads to burn out but your proposal does not increase tolerance to things that cause burn out. It simply avoids exposure to burn out causing elements and then claims increase of tolerance.

    • @balancedbusinesscoach
      @balancedbusinesscoach 6 місяців тому

      @@Andres9632 I think watching the full video may give better context to what Is briefly mentioned in this clip but I'm in agreement with your explanation above. I don't believe leaders are there to remove all challenges or averse stimuli, but I also don't believe they should be actively causing them (which is what happens in many toxic workplaces).
