Tokyo JAPAN - Day 4: Koto & NIHONBASHI
Tokyo JAPAN - Day 4: KOTO & NIHONBASHI
Day IV: finally to day four, the friday. i know it says koto and nihonbashi, i had to stick with the location titles. otherwise an appropriate title would saying "Toyosu market, gundam statue, and omakase." now that i type that out it sounds way better...
anyways, the Toyosu Market is the new location of the legnedary tuna auctions. this once took place in tsukiji (which we drove past and will stop by the next day), but was moved to this new, man-made island to fit the needs. Toyosu is where a lot of the world's tuna and seafood come in, to be auctioned off and sent across the planet. someday i'd like to get up early and visit the actual acutions, and see these million dollar fish be prepped to mail to NYC and more. that requires a lot of cabs and 3am mornings; so someday.
i may have ruined the surpirse, but be sure if you stop by TOYOSU to check out the inner AND outter markets. Both have perks. the inner was nice to sit and enjoy the fresh fish slowly (literally will never taste anything fresher unless im on a tuna boat!). The outter is more market style, offering stalls to purchase quick bites.
There is a lot going on in this area but we stuck to the itinerary, making our way onto another train toward diver city. OH and we discovered that we didnt need to go TRAIN to bus. there was actual trains that can be taken all the way to the island. maybe the bus route was faster (says google).
Diver city also has a lot going on; an enormous 7+story building with plenty going on. by this time we were about dead.
figured might as well check out the tower since it was so close, and was worth the 7 yen to visit the observation tower. there was construction going on, so the exhibits inside werent open, but the view was the main goal.
back onto the trains we go. if you see in the video theres a moment we get on a giant circle bridge made over the bay. it was difficult to showcase this massive structure, but an amazing way to join rails at differnet levels.
on our way back i messed something up... the red line kinda confuses me as there are trains you wait for to get to certain areas. we ended up boarding one that went our way, but just a different stop. it all worked out.
grabbbed some quick 7/11 snacks of course (featuring the bun) and rested until it was dinner time.
i know i said OMAKASE far too often but i was sincerely excited for this reservation (which i made littearlly a month and a day in advance). story time: after days of reserach on which omakase i wanted to try, i was ready to make the reservation from afar to guarantee my spot in the 30 seat room. but i couldnt. it was locked. didnt know if it was the distance, or timing, or internet. i gave it a rest until i logged back in one day and refreshed the page to see that it was now open! looks like a lot of these places open reservations only one month in advance (which is why i couldnt get my sky tree tickets yet). so if you're having trouble, check the timing, and have an international card ready that will be accepted, or you might loose your spot.
it was finally time. we got on the train(s) and rushed over to the area, where we saw our first early glimpse of the cherry blossoms (something we were waiting a half week to go check out). i love this area though, ginza and the surroudnig area is like chicago but incredibly well kept (still love my windy city).
the dinner was amazing, would easily do again over and over. if this was available where i live, itd be a monthly trip, especially the cost was so cheap, i waste way more at a texas roadhouse...
we were truly beaten at the end of this, but i wanted to squeeze in one more location, as i didn't see another time we'd be in this area this late.
made our way to VIRTU, at the four seasons, through back rooms, up elevators, to many desks, this bar was tucked away, but so gorgeous, with amazing views of the cityscape at night.
incredible cocktails, and service, met the manager who had worked with my aunt!
and thats about it! made our way back on tje trains before 11:30 (when i believe they close) and that was our friday!

Tokyo JAPAN - Day 3: Ebisu & Shibuya Day 333333! It is taking me longer to finish these each time... The traditional Japanese breakfast was an experience! i knew maybe 3 items on that tray, but enjoyed it thoroughly. Very clean tasting items, completely different from an American breakfast of mass sugar and salts. we were however still prettttty hungry afterward, and made our millionth 7/11 run...

Tokyo JAPAN - Day 2: Taito & Shinjuku Day 2! so lets talk a little bit about the train payment. i was initially going to use a pasmo, but after adding the app on my phone I found out that my credit card (US VISA) was not accepted. i eventually went to the suica and got lucky that after adding it to my wallet, it would accept my card, making it easy to load up. you have to have data running thou...

Thanks for sharing location information and fishing tips. You are a true sportsman and kind person. I thought of getting into fly fishing but put off by all these competitive ppl on YT that don't share info and think they own all the goid fishing spots. I live in Longmont and going back to using my spinning rod and reel fishing local ponds.
@@jimdente9501 absolutely. I appreciate the reassurance bc I never know where I stand; just wanna make videos I would wanna watch. If you’re new check out some of my other vids, but also deckers like 1hr away from denver. Amazing amount of fish per section. White and black spinners and strippers, they’re in those riffs.
The video quality is on par with the best cinematographers, nice.Fly fishing is a gas,and Bennett Springs is a sight to behold and fish.
Very disrespectful
My grampa favorite fishing spot, he used to bring me up to Deckers in the early 80’s and it’s far different now it can get so crowded.
Great video! I'll be going next month- can't wait !!
whole vlog reminds me of going to lost island water park in waterloo when it was raining and it was the most enjoyable experience because the lines were practically non-existent
fun knows no cold. brought me back to 2015 here, nothing too fancy, just the moments and more restrictions on music
Maybe I just don't go shopping enough, but I can't believe we don't see more shirt displays that also act as a Nickelodeon GUTS Obstacle Course
funny you should mention that, on our last trip we stayed right next to the nickelodeon resort and had to go in for a short moment, I'll send you pics of the stucko gates with blues clues carved in the face
Is this Grizzly Reservoir closer to Aspen on west side of Independence Pass?
awesome hike and views, and loved the effort you put into editing this! keep it up and can't wait for more from you 😁
Thanks! trying to get back into the swing of vlogging! hopefully will be making more soooN!
Awesome video!
How tough is the road? Could a stock rav-4 make it?
i have an old gx470 and it took me about an hour to get through going 2-10mph with the terrain. it was scenic and fun honestly, taking time for some more challenging sections. i did see a subaru outback atlesat 3/4ths of the way, and it looks like i only have about 8.3 stock, if my quick google search is correct the rav has still around 8? i think it would be ok with a huge warning that i don't fully know, but there are plenty of stops along the way. there are points that become one way, and pending the time of year there may be (extremely) light traffic (2-3 cars for when we went).
You're about the only fly-fishing UA-camr who actually shares where they are fishing and what kind of tackle they are using. Thank you so much for that!
@@NickArnette hey I sincerely appreciate that. Sorry for the delay of thanks, but I just want to make videos I would wanna watch h
how the hell does this not have more views? your vids are full of useful info and the production is really good
ha well thank you, more views woould be cool but I'm just happy to make fun vids while outdoors to share
Congrats on the cutthroat!!! Hard to believe they came back from the brink not long ago. Enjoyed the video!
thank you! next up hopefully is a larger one ha
So please tell me where did you stay when there. We drive over from Tulsa when we go but it makes for a long day . Like to find somewhere close besides the campground. Went out last weekend and had a blast catching.
One of the most common places we stay is the Bennet springs motel, it’s about half a mile away from the east entrance of the park entrance. Offers multiples beds, couch, kitchen, and esspecially places to hang wet gear. This time we had tried the cabins in the park by the start of the spring, a lot more spacious and awesome to walk out and fish but they go quickly. There’s various bed and breakfasts I’ve heard good things. The town of Lebanon is close as well where we stock up, w hotels there too.
Where have you been at dude?
ha long story i'll share when i get the full thing together, but a move back closer to home to help family. im more than ready to get back more in these great outdoors!
<<<a cool video keep up the great content... Thank you..
thank you! im ready to get back to biz, put out some more content!
@@allorado_adventure Thank you very mutch... have a nice day.... see you….
How long ago was this don’t tell me Is snowed in Colorado
ha sadly this was during the colder times im just a bit behind but hopefully catching up on posts!
Brother, we don’t want to hear about your dinner plans. I thought this was a fly fishing video, not a vlog. Show us yourself fishing and talk about the flies you are using. All the other stuff is totally unnecessary.
I have always loved fishing dam pools. Can’t imagine showing up without waders or wet-wading. I’m such a messy fly fisherman, it helps to get in the water to make the trees less likely to grab my flies.
I will give it a try
The music is a bit much. Great content otherwise.
Love the vid, and thank you for showingus how, as well as where to catch fish. I am tired of all these Jerks on UA-cam who act like a public waterway is their own private "HoneyHole".
Absolutely! I totally understand where you’re coming from and I’ve watched dozens of videos where I wanna know where ppl at and figured I’d try to showcase locations more. My suggestion if you’re looking to fish these waters and it’s slightly warmer go as far as you can to the dam, and while you do, fish can honestly be hiding in the weirdest places, I looked for deep pools or fast moving water as long as there was enough depth, that’s what I finally figured out, I’ve heard tho in the warmer months you can get a lot of carp and other species along the way. Happy fishing and good luck!
That's not a hot spot for catching Big Fish at all and I never cought nothing there, bad luck but good for you so that's your spot to catch. Look at my video channel and you will see the hot spots off the South Platte River in Denver Colorado. ZJ ZJ Big Fish Catches.
Who's on the sticker? Must be the Bennett Mascot! 🤣
I know about the stickers...
That camera view is awesome! love the footage underwater and above at same time
I may know who put those stickers up! Lol like the video
keep it up bud, way to put in the effort i live and do allot of fishing in southern co hit me up if you ever come down. bait fishing spin fishing fly fishing tenkara and Keiryu multiple species
Great Video! How do you tell the difference between male and female rainbows?
Great Job, I like how you take the time to prepare the fly line, I think about it,but that’s as far as it goes, ha, The flies are sharp, the video looks crystal clear, Again Great Job.
Back in the good days, like 20 years ago could have the whole creek to yourself and catch browns up in the 16 to 17 in range. Mouse patterns at night through town was a blast. Used to be able to fish at keys on the Green through the golf course in the fall some really nice browns. Those days are over.
south Platte is amazing, spinney mountain, dream stream, 11mile res., 11 mile canyon, cheeseman res., cheeseman canyon, deckers, strontia springs res, waterton canyon, Chatfield.
That’s not downtown
you still fishing? in colorado anymore? you haven't uploaded in a year - hope all is good
Great video man
Ahh yes, always the spring itch to get out as the weather gets better. It is sad, yet inevitable, that there are so many people in the front range these days. All of Colorado's streams suffer from too much pressure. This canyon can be downright ugly some days with the over crowding. Pretty canyon and good, but temperamental fishing.
Haha buddy you are fishing the wrong spots 👍 Plenty of fish for everyone
Nice video! Loved that you lifted the rocks up to the camera so we could see what was in the water.

Awesome looking water!! Thanks for sharing.
Your dad works at denver fly shop???
Thats a really good smallie stretch
You didn’t fish the chatfield spillway big trout and big smallies there
where the hell you been, drop some new colorado goodness you lazy! JK, but not really
Nice video👏👏👏👏
If u love crowds go there
What forum do you reference in the early video?
thanks for this. I'm headed to Colorado tomorrow (my 1st time to RMNP) and am a pinch concerned about bears. I absolutely understand that the park is there home & I'm just a visitor. still, I'll see if I can pick up some bear spray.
