Hey there, it was a bit tricky to tell, but does the rack mount to the original railings, or is the drilling that you did in order to install different rails? Thanks in advance

I am looking to put one under my camper van. However, a few things to know...First that green fuel line dries out, gets brittle, and cracks leading to fuel leaks. That is not good on your vehicle, especially should you and your daughter be trapped up there. Second, plastic and exhaust heat don't mix, not to mention the exhaust really needs to be further away from your tent. I like the car air filter idea but i would have gotten a bigger one to allow for better air flow, especially as this one starts to clog. Restrictions on intake and exhaust have been known to cause them to carbon up, lose efficiency and eventually fail. I have an extended Transit van and will be putting mine in an aluminum box secured to the underside. I know I will have to run 2 air ducts to the inside but the exhaust pipe will be 100% outside the vehicle. How has that heater worked for you without an air return? Have you had it carbon up at all??? Subscribed, liked, notifications enabled.

Great tent but clear coat dose not last begins to peel off looks ugly starts to happen within a year. Not worth all that money would look at another tent instead if I could. We are not rich so investing into something for us is pretty much it. Can’t just go buy a new one.

Can this be powered by a battery or does it have to be plugged into your car. I have a small trailer and could really use one of these. Just don’t know if I’d need to power it from my Jeep or have a separate battery

So 18mm Baltic Birch in 51.5" x 60" did the trick? I was considering getting a 4 x 8 sheet but I like the fitment on yours if thats the dimension you used. Might have to go to the lumber yard.

Nice looking bumper package. I have a '95 4WD Suburban and went the same route, but I built mine from scratch. I also have rear cargo doors like your Excursion, and I fabbed a single swing arm instead for a 33" tire and also a jerry can. Couldn't find any pre-built packages for my particular Suburban so had no choice but to build one. That Buckstop kit looks pretty sweet.

The diesel heater supposed to be inside the tent so it heats the already heated air if you have it outside and it's cold then you're reducing the efficiency by a lot. You'll be safe if it catches on fire but you're reducing the efficiency

I have been planning such a construction for a long time, only the guides are expensive, because I am planning a similar construction, but under Packout, there will be 2 boxes with drawers on one drawer, i.e. 8 or 10 in total, and unfortunately, I have a family van 💪 nice job 👍👍💪💪
