Hello. I’m just some fella. I've been watching ASMR vids since 2012. I have always experienced the ASMR sensation, since I was a child in the 70’s, but didn't know until 2012 that it was a recognised phenomena. Receiving it's ASMR name in 2010. Years after first watching them, I’m now making them myself. Mostly about F1, but all sorts of all sorts also.

ASMR F1 2024 Italian GP Monza Leclerc Review / #f1 #f12024 Video
hey BR! just wanted to drop in and say i’m loving all the content lately!
First up, another great video. Aaaand I do have a question. Could you maybe, at some point in the future, do a video in which you‘re telling us about your favourite races? Would be extremely interesting to hear about it from someone who has followed the sport for so long.
15:30 Rwanda also sponsor arsenal, as the prime minister supports them! Let’s hope we get a german, or french grand prix back on the calender. Or perhaps kyalami. Another relaxing video, thank you
love seeing the semi-local brands high up the list!
Love the video but why do I have to hear everything that’s going on in your mouth every 3 seconds
@@jessehitchcock9141 Ah, I do get asked that sometimes. It’s because my channel is an ASMR one. Most people have never heard of ASMR. If you don’t experience it, you won’t have heard of it, or be drawn to it. But anyway, thanks for watching!
Cota and Bahrain in a top 10 but not spa is criminal 😅😂
@@steffanrosser7250 Well, you see, it’s all about personal taste. Tracks like Spa and Suzuka are favourites for most of the drivers, but as a spectator, I don’t want fast sweeping bends on a big track, which means less laps, less overtaking, and a shorter time length for the race. Spa in particular holds no appeal for me. Fun for the drivers, not so the spectators. For me anyway.
My favorites tracks: 1- Spa Francorchamps 🇧🇪 2- Monza🇮🇹 3- Le Mans🇨🇵 4- Hungaroring🇭🇺 5- Silverstone 🇬🇧 6- Malaysia 🇲🇾 7- Sao Paulo🇧🇷 8- Mount Panorama🇭🇲 9- Nurburgring🇩🇪 10- Monaco🇮🇩
@alexandremathieu5541 Some interesting ones in there. Not just F1. I didn’t know the name of the circuit used for the Bathurst 1000, which I’ve watched bits of in the past. Nice long straights, with right angle turns. An interesting layout. I’ve had a bit of blow back for not having Spa in my top ten (though no backlash about Suzuka being absent), but it’s all about personal taste. The long fast sweeping bends might be fun to drive, but less so for entertaining spectating, in my view. Less laps and a quicker race, also add to me not liking Spa that much.
The fact Spa isn’t here is an absolute disgrace
@@Belfastman1993 Personal taste I’m afraid. Which is what my list should be. Spa (along with Suzuka) has never thrilled me, despite all the hype. Probably fun to drive it, but not to watch. With only 43 odd laps, you don’t get much bang for your buck as a spectator. It’s just too long a track to get me engaged. I don’t see the appeal as a spectator, at home or in person. Fun corners to drive maybe, but not to watch. For me anyway.
you have such a great voice for ASMR and your f1 knowledge is incredible. criminally underrated channel!
@@JulianaFrith That’s very nice to hear, thank you.
Loved this! It’s amazing how much knowledge you have about old-school F1, and it’s also super cool that it’s visited enough circuits that people can have such different opinions about the best ones. I think my top 10 would probably be: 10) COTA 9) Jerez 8) Bahrain 7) Suzuka 6) Hockenheim (pre-2003 layout) 5) Spa (1995-2003 layout) 4) Singapore 3) Silverstone (1991-2010 layout) 2) Montreal 1) Interlagos (current layout)
@@grahamkort4908 Thank you! I see that you have Suzuka and Spa in your top 10. Most people would I think. But as you say, so many circuits of different types means that everyone’s top tens can be so different. 1990 onwards Interlagos would be just outside my top 10. Jerez; I like the circuit, but only because of the memories of the amazing 1986 race.
your knowledge and memory never fails to amaze me! would love a video with just whispering, and maybe one on your thoughts of the 2025 rookies? your top seasons youve had the chance to watch? amazing vid !!

@@samuelivascu7633 Not sure if you mean a specific track. They all go over the limits, especially Lando. But only Max deliberately pushes people off track. In Brazil, he shoved Lewis half way to Rio!

@@CJ-hd8ri Forever? Possibly. We’ll see…
I just think that apart from his overly aggressive nature in Brazil and his share of blame in other incidents, you can’t say Max put a foot wrong. Whereas Lewis made a few fairly amateur looking unforced errors by himself. Irregardless of car performance, he threw a lot of points away. He certainly knows how to perform with his back against the wall, but he shouldn’t have needed to. And while there was nothing to the severity of Abu Dhabi. There was all sorts on ludicrous stewarding calls that went in both directions. So while people hone in on AD because it was the end, it was really a snapshot of a larger problem.
@@ianhershberger6376 I pretty much agree with all that. Throughout the season, Max had more bad luck than Lewis, but I believe the better car for the majority of the year also.
I really like your videos! Greetings from Argentina.
@@lucia6888 Thank you! And thanks for telling me your location. Always interesting to know.
I think some .5 would have been so beneficial to get more distinction between the drivers, like putting Max at 9.5 whereas Norris could've been at 9 with Charles at 8.5 maybe (even though I think it should be the other way around).
@MarinMixes That’s a good point. Rather than halves though, I would have scored it out of 20. I should have definitely done that, for the extra nuance it provides.
It’s called the MCL60 because it was 60 years since the team was founded. (1963-2023)
@@jimmyboy86 Ah yes, of course. It all makes sense now! Thanks for the info.
Great vid mate,good quality and sounds,keep going❤🙏
@@RVM28_PT Thank you! I will.
No WAY you gave Norris a higher rating than Leclerc and Hulkenberg. I mean, the guy converted less than half his poles. If that were any other driver, there would be questions about if he deserved the seat. If Verstappen or Hamilton had the best car for 3/4ths of the season and had 4 wins to show for it they would be called the biggest bust of the season. And yes, Norris had flashes of being a champion, but he could barely even pass Verstappen on track with a significantly quicker car. And that's not even mentioning Hulkenberg, who had MAYBE 4 lack luster races all year, and had back to back p6's in Austria and Britain, with the 5th fastest car at BEST, arguably slower. And Charles Leclerc had terrible luck with the upgrades on the Ferrari, and was simply unlucky in races like Austria, Canada, and Britain, even if in the moment what messed him up was a bold call to move to the inters. Charles got less than half the poles Norris got as a quali specialist and got 3/4ths of Norris's wins. I can't give Norris any higher than an 8 because he didn't out perform the car like other drivers did.
@@gabrielhynes5180 Ah, but Norris would have won more without bad luck, bad team strategy, or torpedo Max. I should have given Leclerc a 9 also, I accept that. (I’ve had a number of comments saying that!). You mention Canada being unlucky for Leclerc, but what about Norris? He was miles out in front. So far out in front that the safety car came out too late for him to dive into the pits. He then trailed around behind the safety car for half a lap and lost out to Max. Silverstone too would have been a Norris win if the team hadn’t messed up the strategy. And he would have won in Austria had Max not moved late. .. and then Mexico.. and Spain.. There were numerous other races too, that he lost through no fault of his own. We’ll see how Leclerc does if his Ferrari is a championship winning one next year. He made mistakes in 2022, when he had a champion car. France, most notably. But I still rate Leclerc very highly and expect him to beat a flagging Hamilton. The only criticism that I would level at Norris is his inability to match Max when playing dirty with combat on the track. And trying to overtake Max around the outside. That’s never going to work against a driving personality like Max. Senna was exactly the same.
@@BattalionRustASMR Norris had some bad luck, but not that much. He only one Miami because of the same thing that happened in Canada. So it's tit for tat when it comes to Canada. And yes he had bad luck in Austria, but there's bad luck everywhere. Other drivers had mechanical dnf's when Norris didn't. Also, his bad luck through strategy was mainly changeable condition calls that were wrong, but thats also partly his fault because he is the one driving on the track. In Mexico, sure, that was some bad luck with Max's dirty tricks, but he should've past him anyways, I mean Carlos did with a worse car. And Norris' starts were so bad that I honestly can't overlook his amazing qualifying performances.
@ Yes, Lando’s starts were truly awful, but as regards Canada; that was far more bad luck for Lando than the good fortune he had at the start in Miami. A race he was quick enough to win anyway.
I do tend to agree with your scores except the Ferrari drivers. Leclerc deserves a 9 in my humble opinion so that would give Sainz an 8 and Bearman a 7. I like Ollie a lot and I can‘t wait for him to be on the grid next year, but the sample size is just too small to rate him higher than Sainz I think.
@@viirtualiized2495 Yes, I agree that I should have put Leclerc on a 9. Many have commented on that! Been well and truly slapped for the 8. The Bearman Sainz thing. Yes, only three races for Bearman, but he certainly impressed. And in two different teams.
Wow what a season! I'm so grateful we've had such a long season that even me as a diehard fan has a lot of trouble remembering some of the races!
@@ParkerTolin Indeed. All good stuff. A long season allows for a lot of to and fro as regards who is on top at any time. And I love that.
Norris 9 is quite a joke..honestly watching sky f1 pumping norris for the whole season has been embarassing. I don’t hate the guy, I think he’s a good driver, and his season was undoubtedly good, but a Leclerc in that car would have gotten at least way closer to the title. Probably Sainz as well. Piastri now it’s already almost as good as norris. But hey at least they won the constructors
This to say that Leclerc’s season was at least as good as Norris, if not better. Max also deserved a higher mark, been gaslighted the whole year by british media but he destroyed them at the end. Brits should calm down a bit, Hamilton is still the best of them all. Russel’s behaviour was quite embarassing this season, hope Antonelli will give him some challenges nexy year… good video anyway!
@@andreabyron21 Thanks. Yes, I would agree that Leclerc should have been a 9 as well. I’ve had a few comments about that! But I disagree that Max has been attacked at all by the British press. Sky in particular is always impartial. However, I would be surprised if the Dutch media has been impartial at all. Max’s questionable torpedo defence.. that even Jos said was over the top! .. takes him down from a ten for me. Other than that, he’s been as good as ever. Just my opinion obviously.
Leclerc was better than Lando this season (not by much but he was)
@@danielkastler3868 It was certainly very close between them. I should have given Leclerc a 9 also. 2025 has some amazing match ups. It should be the best season for some time.
i disagree, i truly feel like gasly and ocon were on the same level this season.
@MK-rw1on At times yes, but over the whole season.. But that could just be because Ocon and Alpine were drifting apart.
@BattalionRustASMR yeah Ocon definitely drifted his focus but, that shouldn't affect your rating as you're rating him on how his season went and what you see so I think it's a fair rating you gave
Leclerc had an incredible season, no crashes in races or qualifying, every race but three inside the top 5, even less races outside of the top 4, and finsihed closer to norris than he should have considering the ferrari went backwards due to a bad upgrade mid season and the McLaren was faster on average. Only one win less than norris this year, same amount of podiums and just incredibly consistent. And for the majority of the year he was ahead of sainz in both qualfying and the races, and again no crashes vs sainz crashing 4 or 5 times in qualfying and the race. Definitely his best year, incredibly consistent which has been his weakness before this year.
@@elianioriofarrell Yes, I should have given Leclerc a 9. Alongside Max and Lando.
@BattalionRustASMR I agree yes but, you gave him deserved praise in the video nonetheless :)
piastri won formula 3 and 2 back-to-bck in his first season and russel won formula 3 and 2 back to back but had 2 seasons in f3

@Danielle_1060 Hello there.
This childhood game is underrated. Btw they also have an app for anyone whos up for a challenge
@@BenSamara Indeed. A great memory game.
I do think the main point of improvement for learning drivers is the downtime in the winter, so yes piastri has had many races but one thing about drivers is they usualy need the reset in the winter to apply what they've learned, I've noticed that as a Leclerc fan anyway, his biggest self improvement comes after every winter break. Also for Sauber the normal staff are able to celebrate that result like a win and not listen to any criticism from their higher ups because its their higher ups that gave them such a terrible car to work around.
@@elianioriofarrell Yes, Piastri could well be slightly quicker next year. Not by a lot though. I would still give Norris the slight edge over him. As regards Sauber celebrations, I still feel like they should be tempered. After all, it’s a team performance, not just a car performance. As all teams like to reiterate. So the whole team should feel sheepish about this year.
@BattalionRustASMR the mechanics for example can only do so much when they're given a bad car, and so will celebrate it when the result is maximised.
@@elianioriofarrell True, to a certain extent. Though those same mechanics are applauded when a very good car design wins races, despite it really being down to the car. And didn’t Sauber have some terrible pit stops early in the year?
@BattalionRustASMR they did have terrible pitstops but that was due to a badly designed hub and doesn't mean they can't celebrate a good result when all pitstops since have been pretty much flawless since they got a red bull mechanic in charge. That's not relevant. And the mechanics aren't celebrated when a good car wins, for the car, they're celebrated because they did their jobs perfectly to achieve that result, and so in that race in qatar, they did the same, and are well within their rights to celebrate it like a win because it was the equivalent for that car
@@elianioriofarrell Maybe I’m being too harsh, but the sight of a professional F1 team celebrating because they scored 4 points all season, is hard to watch. They win as a team.. and therefore have been losing as a team.
I would say that Hamilton won Silverstone because he has the years of experience that people around him lacked. He knew what lap to come in and how to manage the weather. McLaren should’ve won, but they didn’t because of their picking of the wrong lap to change tires. Hamilton knew what to do, that’s what won him the race
@@coracaldwell41 Yes, that’s a good point, but the previous Hamilton wins, along with all the Mansell wins, were built on pure speed. The fastest on the day. This win was different, which was a shame.

@@williamfraser4070 I haven’t watched it yet, but will do so in the next few days. I’ll probably then do video on it. Seems to be highly rated.
@ that would be awesome mate!
Didn’t they do well, good game! Good game!
