@@FedeDragon_ I’m not so sure about that. They would have done at the end, if necessary. He was dangerously close to Lando at the end. Too close if he had been told to slow down. And there was no threat from behind. But remember that Lando was quicker than Oscar all race and all weekend.

Norris should of simply given up the position he gained right after that off track overtake. 100% he would of gotten another shot. How do u expect to get away with such poor pass. Verstappen honestly schooled Norris for about 10 laps there, that was some incredible defensive driving while having 6 laps older tires and no drs and THATS how norris decides to pass with tire advantage and DRS? Norris simply cannot race. Good pace but he can’t race. No chance would he have gotten past again, i think his only chance was to overtake at turn 1, verstappen was always going to maintain the inside and push him off

Honestly I don't understand Norris, if he wants to win this championship he simply must keep that lead in turn 1, and the only way to lose it was to leave the inside open, surely in one day of preparation they discussed about that. It feels like everyone but him saw that move coming, I cannot believe he lost the lead again after having arguably the best start out of the two
@@FedeDragon_ Incredible, yes. Embarrassing for him. As you say, he had the perfect start, then left a big gap! Max is a dirty rule skirter, but you have to be to win these tight encounters. Max knows that it’s ok in the rules to drive off the track and push the attacker all the way to the car park to keep your place. So long as you are a millimetre clear of them at the apex. @@FedeDragon_ Yes. Announced a week or so ago. Good that they have recognised what a farce the fastest lap point has become. Although Sky coverage didn’t mention it at all.
@@kyrsgaming Basically, I think that they both broke the rules in that overtake. But it seems that going off track to successfully defend your position is ok if the attacker has gone off themselves. That is surely wrong. Max always takes full advantage of that loop hole in the rules.
@@roscoeswrld5953 True. But the rules need looking into. I believe that they were both in the wrong. However, the rules don’t penalise a defender going off track if the attacker is also going off track. But Lando only went off track because Max pushed him off.
@@elianioriofarrell Possibly. Only time will tell if Piastri can improve further though. It’s not a given that he will. And the McLaren is a lot better than the one Norris had in his second year. The quality of the car can make a difference. Sometimes drivers look good in a weak car, and sometimes they look bad. Stoffel Vandoorne entered F1 as the New Messiah. The history books were meant to show that Senna was only good enough to shine Stoffel’s shoes. And yet he crashed and burned. Maybe because he was one of those drivers that can’t shine in a weak car. That could easily be why Lando didn’t look as good in his weak McLaren, as Piastri is at the moment.
@BattalionRustASMR Piastri will only get better and that isn't really debatable as he's already proved what he can do, Leclerc is a driver who was written off by many as too crash prone, and now he doesn't crash in critical sessions and continues to improve even in his 7th year, so Piastri is already at a higher level than most and will also keep improving year on year, especially in his 3rd year, it's usually the year where most drivers put all that they've learned together. I'm not mclaren or piastri fan, I'm a Leclerc fan 200% and only, but I see no reason why piastris career should be decided on his off weekends vs his on form weekends.
@@elianioriofarrell I certainly praise his strong weekends, like Monza, but as regards Leclerc improving accident wise, that’s different to finding more speed. Leclerc already had the speed.
