Thank you - we forgot to mention this as we removed that panel years ago for our original bed step. For anyone else having the same issue, you'll just want to remove the screws that hold the bracket that the lower panel snaps into, then your bed step should fit properly.

@@canyonadventurevans It worked! I just used a Dremel Multimax to cut out the plastic area, instead of unclipping the full plastic, pulling it out, and then cutting. Worked fine and the product is amazing. Thank you!! BTW, I do see a bit of movement when the heavy door (with the owl van big box and bike racks on it), but I think it is just from the heavy weight and momentum when it opens. I think it is just a small amount of movement from the sheet metal bending, as I believe I saw that on the Owl Vans demo unit too. That's ok, right? Thanks for a great product!!

Thank you for the update! Happy you made it work in your van. It's not uncommon to have a little flex or movement when the doors are opening, we have seen it on a few vans. It varies install to install but we've had 0 issues on our vans (loaded up with tire carrier, boxes, ladders, etc.) and have heard of 0 issues from our customers.

Down the road we will find some way to add a bed step, it feels like a necessity now that we've had it in our vans for so long. You're right though, the new cabinet will be a problem so we'll probably find somewhere else to mount it.

An interesting design challenge! I'm looking forward to it. I just ordered the bed riser but I have a small step stool that should work for now.

We're trying to avoid drilling holes in the van unless absolutely necessary with our new products. Love how easy this is to install.

Hey, that is a new addition that we added to the kit. It is possible to drill 3 big holes, we've just found that cutting out the plastic is a more reliable way of installing the Rivnuts for the STOP-STAYS. If it's possible to cut the plastic with the tools you have, we highly recommend that.

Nope! The Garage Slide Out has enough clearance to hover over the Stop-Stays when it's pulled out.

Yes, we did discontinue these, at the moment we have the GLSS 4 and the GLSS Pro. The GLSS Pro can have everything the GLSS 3 can have minus the safe. You can do microwave + day bed cushions on the Pro just like the 3.

Hey Raju, we found in our testing that drilling 3 holes through the plastic, while it can work, is just a less reliable way to install the rivnuts. If something goes wrong and your rivnut starts spinning or you have to drill it out, it's a much bigger hassle.

No issues from the doors/struts themselves, the only issue we've had was over tightening some of the balls during installation caused them to snap. Shouldn't be an issue for any kits that we've sent out to customers.

It is somewhat bike dependent but yes you should be able to open the drawers with bikes in the van. That said, we are no longer selling this item, you'd have to buy it used on Facebook or something. We're working on a new version but no timeline on that yet.

Hey Donna, Yes, the installation process is largely the same. The difference is that you will not have any stock screws to use. Instead, you'll line the Bed Riser Pro up where you want it on your shelf/flare and use the self-tapping screws we provide to mount it. Yes, going through the floor would be the best way to mount it in your sprinter van. If they're properly installed each plus nut is rated for over 1000lbs of force.

I believe the stock cabinets are laminated plywood.

Hey Jon, we just tested them the other day on a 2018 and with the current kit it seems only the passenger side works. We'll have to figure something out for the Driver's side for a future kit.

Jason mentions it in the video, you can disengage the struts by removing a pin and then taking the strut off the door. Pretty simple process, just need to make sure you don't lose the little pin.

These work with our slide out decks so you could absolutely grow your van from the door struts 😉

@@canyonadventurevans Agree, this is a fairly easy install. Although I butchered the Passenger side when my blade broke...... But really install time should be increased to closer to 3 hours to include the at least 1 trip to HomeDepot etc for that 1 (or was it 2) things you didn't have.... And despite my lack of craftsmanship...They work great! Thanks!

Suggest clarification of the location of the Van side "strut ball receiver" in the bracket (I had to watch a couple of times before I realized where it goes) as well as how to locate the bracket on the threshold to cut. Also I'd suggest a cardboard or paper template in the future to make the cutting and drilling a bit clearer for us barely competent DIYers! It's a good idea and product. I've been slammed in the back by the doors many times. This should stop or reduce that from happening.

You might want to do some more looking around but essentially you're looking for a 3" rubber cap. Winnebago gets some generic ones and just cuts them with a razor blade.
