You need to mention removing at least the top panel clamp for the old panel. I removed them both. Then you can install the assembled bed step.assembled
Thank you - we forgot to mention this as we removed that panel years ago for our original bed step. For anyone else having the same issue, you'll just want to remove the screws that hold the bracket that the lower panel snaps into, then your bed step should fit properly.
Down the road we will find some way to add a bed step, it feels like a necessity now that we've had it in our vans for so long. You're right though, the new cabinet will be a problem so we'll probably find somewhere else to mount it.
I like this new design. I recently installed the old version and cringed at having to drill the holes in the camper.
We're trying to avoid drilling holes in the van unless absolutely necessary with our new products. Love how easy this is to install.

An interesting design challenge! I'm looking forward to it. I just ordered the bed riser but I have a small step stool that should work for now.
