Yaesu speaker comparison
Переглядів 22 тис.5 років тому
Not exactly a lab test however this may help someone who may be in the market for an external speaker. Sound bites of 5 different Yaesu speakers. The SP-10, SP-20, SP-2000, SP-101 and SP-9000. There are no real winners, some have wider frequency response for a richer sound experience, others are more narrow for easier communication readability.

    Czuję się tak, jakbym to nie ja kupił to radio, tylko ono kupiło mnie. To nie jest sprzęt, którego użytkowanie wiązałoby się z przyjemnością słuchania, tylko to jest sprzęt który mnie nieznośnie absorbuje. Chcesz coś - wciśnij to, chcesz coś innego - wciśnij coś innego. Chcesz jeszcze czegoś - wciśnij coś dłużej. Jeszcze czegoś chcesz - wciśnij coś dłużej, puść i wciśnij na krótko. No akrobatą można zostać! Polska instrukcja pisana językiem dla cyborgów. A to, a sro, a zaś coś jeszcze! Po trzy metody dochodzenia do tego samego efektu i nieprawdopodobny bełkot. A jak już nawciskam co nawciskać powinienem i np. zaprogramuję se kilka częstotliwości, to już obok tej zaprogramowanej nie posłucham, bo minimalny ruch pokrętłem strojenia powoduje natychmiastowy przeskok do kolejnej zaprogramowanej częstotliwości. A co słychać w tym gówienku? No coś tam słychać. Jak porównałem toto z odbiornikami Kiwi SDR, to tak ze 20% tego, co tam. Ze stacji radiofonicznych (przez idiotów nazywanych broadcastingowymi - radiofoniczna im przez ryje nie przejdzie), słychać tylko te prujące na największych mocach i to wcale nie za dobrze. Z amatorskich to już w ogóle jest klęska. Coś tam można usłyszeć, ale tylko w terenie, bo w obrębie miasta poziom zakłóceń jest wręcz niewiarygodnie wysoki. U siebie namierzyłem żarówę tzw. energooszczędną, która jak do niej zbliżyć antenę, to pruje lepiej od moich nadajników. Czy pomaga załączenie dodatkowej anteny? Niespecjalnie pomaga. Poza tym twórcy tego gówienka nie wysilili się nawet na dodatkowe gniazdo do anteny (dla KF), a załączanie jej za pomocą tzw. krokodylka do anteny teleskopowej trąci niewiarygodnym prymitywem i nie jest wygodne w użytkowaniu. Kolejny feler - antena teleskopowa. Ona nie jest łamana u podstawy, no i kiedy ją wyciągnąć, to ani tego gówienka postawić, ani położyć - czyli najlepiej trzymać je w rękach - bardzo fajne! Dalej - odbiór na falach długich i średnich. Tu jest i gniazdo i specjalna antena. Specjalna chyba z nazwy, bo ledwo na niej odebrałem program PR I i to jeszcze musiałem się tego domyślać. Zasilanie akumulatorem BL-5C stosowanym kiedyś w telefonach, nie budzi zaufania, że toto da radę popracować choćby te deklarowane 20 godzin. Jest toto małe i chude. Ładowanie tegoż akumulatorka z tzw. USB komputera u mnie niewykonalne, bo kabel do tego jest tak krótki, że u mnie nie sięga z blatu biurka do tego USB. Jak se przypomnę radio tranzystorowe na którym jako nastolatek słuchałem Wolnej Europy, to ono od tego gówienka było ze trzy razy lepsze. Lepiej odbierało, a obsługa nie była nawet zauważalna. Tu nie posłucham, ale za to co się nawciskam to moje! Najogólniej do tego gówienka pasuje taki dowcip: Facet przyszedł do krawca odebrać zamówiony garnitur. Przymierza go, ale garnitur bardzo źle leży. Na to krawiec mówi - podnieś pan nieco ramiona! Facet podniósł ramiona. I jeszcze się pan nieco pochyl do przodu! Facet się pochylił i gada do krawca - Panie, to ja mam w tym garniturze taki powyginany chodzić?! Krawiec - no powyginany, ale patrz pan jak garnitur dobrze leży!

    Have a look inside the box, you will be shocked at what you pay for! all of the units that you have there including the SP-9000 have basic speakers that you used to find in the old CB radios, the SP-2000 abd the SP-9000 does have filters, the SP-101 is a total rip-off, you are paying for a empty box with a CB speaker unit inside of it, if you need good sound out of any of these you really need to upgrade the speaker units fitted with something like the Visaton FRW10N Speaker Units, a much better performance.

    • @radioaxe6964
      @radioaxe6964 11 місяців тому

      G'day. Other than a "radio" you would need an RF power amplifier of some sort which could output at the desired frequency, in a constant carier fashion. If you managed that, then all the steps in this video can then be applied. Don't forget you would need an appropriate input signal into the RF amp as well. A bit of mucking around if you must go down that path. I hope this helps....

    SP-2000 all the way. I have owned mine for 12 years and I will never part with it. I assume the 9000 is very similar but seems overkill for my needs. The frequency adjustments with the 2000 make things very comfortable as a final touch for various signal types. If I IF Shift a signal due to QRM I can roll the original tone back in with the Contour and SP-2000 combo with ease. Just my take on it and thanks for the comparison.

    The PL-365 uses "double As" or AA batteries, not "triple As" or AAA batteries. There's a giant difference in terms of emergency preparedness when the principle is to standardize on AA batteries for everything (as much as possible). This difference will make or break the inclusion of such a device in the emergency kit.

    Hi,good interesting video, I brought the Yeasu sp 9000 for the Icom ic-7300, well made solid build speaker, and well made control's 👌, but unfortunately that big empty metal box, enficises and exaggerates the lower frequencies, making it a little bass heavy, the low cut filter will certainly help,I've just ordered a PHITS kit FROM PHONEMA in Germany,its a sound damping kit,all pre cut and easy to fit,to me a purposely designed sound damping kit can only improve a great sounding speaker,the sp 9000 goes very loud and the filters are well worth it,,,,,when I receive the kit I will make a short video,,,,thanks and 73s from Rotterdam.

      @radioaxe6964 see 1940 was the very first year of this model ok now first ever model came forward with great dial same as yours but mostly all green. The Handel model was almost always only sold in 1940 with a few sales dribbling over into 1941 Of course at that time the war seen production cease .In very late 1945 a few of this model emerged again ..ah but in the same case, yet devoid of the handles. See your one how it has the badge the column raising upwards. Ok well the 1946 into early 1948 models were mostly produced bearing the Peter Pan label. Same chassis but by this time they were emerging on the 5 valve circuit form. The very earliest models produced during 1940 were the now super rare 4 valve models . One of which iam working on today . Good sets but there are very few around nowadays. Steve

    Fine result for a portable station. I am thinking about such a HyEndFed for my portable "POTA"-Activities........ How satisfied are you with the performance especially at 15 and 80 meters? Have you already been able to gather empirical values? One also hears from time to time what about alleged RF radiation that should cause such an antenna. Have you ever had problems there or rather not?

    • @radioaxe6964

      I gave never experienced rf problems out in the field as I only fun 100w. I sometimes do when running higher power, say 400w, however an inline rf choke at the radio end makes a huge improvement in reducing rf comming out my external speaker.
