My hubby and I did 2 Five Guy mystery shops this month. The payout was 25$ for each and they reimburse us 17.50$ for our meal. Our meal averages 18$. We've been bonding over giving plasma and eating Five Guys 😂!

Thanks for the update. My husband and I saved a lot on meat recently when Jerry's ( grocery store ) had a BOGO on some of it. Normally I think of Jerry's as high end grocery but they have been really reasonable and quality if better than say, Cub. I am keeping an eye out for the next BOGO meat sale to stock up again.

I don't have any extra sources of income right now, but I've been working really hard to only buy things that are have-tos/essentials, and have thus transferred extra money I *haven't* spent on Amazon or eating out into my medical bucket on Ally, for some future dental work I know about. I started my CD ladder this month using 1/12 of a few savings challenges I completed last year that I didn't have a true plan for (i.e. setting aside a dollar amount in an Ally bucket for what the temperature was on the 1st day of the month, transferring the last 4-digits in my checking account on the last day of the month, etc), and I am dorkily excited for Saturday, when I get to put the next twelfth of that total into a new CD for February. Question - when it's tax season, do you get some kind of 1099 or other form for EACH different CD, or do you get one document that summarizes all of the interest you earned? Obviously it's not a thing I have to deal with until next year, but I like to know what's coming. Great job today! All of your little bits sure feel big when pushed together!

Question about car maintenance fund. What do you do when you have a large maintenance expense in this account? Example a set of tires for your and your husband‘s car? That can be $2000 plus. The other thing I noticed is you don’t save any money for your next vehicle. My father taught me to always save $300 a month for maintenance and your next vehicle. If you can drive a car for 7 to 10 years you’re gonna have a lot of maintenance to be done on it. I don’t know if $50 a month saving is gonna do much to help either one of those. Great channel, keep up the good work.

Hi Jessie! Have you considered giving YNAB a go? I think your budget would suit it perfectly, especially with how you're dealing with credit cards. Would also save you some time with setting up the spreadsheets every paycheck, and they also have stats and pie charts! They offer a 1-month trial if ur interested! 😊

Your insurance will likely triple what you pay now if not. That will be a hit. Trust this mom of an almost 21 year old. Not fun. Have a great week!

You should be proud of your daughter and of yourself for good parenting! It’s such a good feeling to see your kids implementering stuff you learned as an adult. Is they want their entire lives will be different from ours!
