As an automotive led lighting enthusiast. Not a fan of halogen, except Sylvania - silverstar ultra.
They are the only ones I can except for a high performance halogne bulb upgrades. After 5 months of my experience before I switch to lasfit led.
The Sylvania - SSU is a great halogen bulb upgrade.

@@andreaskothke876if u don’t want to change them more often if halogen bulbs, switch to Sylvania - SL.BX2 led bulbs. Three only make 13 watts. So that’s 1300 lumens per bulb.
So same lumens as a 55 watt halogen. But with 6000k pure white, it’s brighter.
Is not gonna be a truly bright bright as other aftermarket led bulbs that makes between 20-60 watts per bulb.
So 13 watts is perfectly fine.
So get ur hands on them if u want purely reliable and longevity.

Two things, if u upgrade to the sylvania XtraVision or any other higher performance halogen bulbs u get for ur 9005/HB3.
1: if u touch the glass with ur finger tips, it will become prematurely.
2: when it comes to brighter halogen bulbs, they will shorten the lifespan. If u want ur 9005/HB3 to last, stick to sylvania basic. Or if u want brighter or a different color, go for th XtraVision, silverstar or silverstar ultra. It’s usually worth the trade of if u don’t care about it’s lifespan.
Or if u want a blue coating for looks and still be able to have nice bright blue lights, without get involve with led or hid, get Philips diamond vision,Osram cool blue hyper, vision X, or sylvania - silverstar.

….At the cost of blinding everyone coming in your direction. Headlights are unnecessarily bright as it is. I don’t even like driving at night anymore because of all the pickup trucks that have several banks of these lights. They’re actually dangerous. It’s ridiculous that it’s become a standard, along with the absurdity of having touch screens in cars.

Lol on halogen bulbs on trucks? Please.
Having these XtraVision from sylvania is only tiny 3% brighter than stock. Or basic bulb. This is nothing.
When it comes to truck with halogens, it’s not even bad at all.
With LED’s or HID’s they are definitely way brighter and better to see far down on the road, if u get the right ones.
I will never go back to halogen’s because they are too dim or not brighter enough, and not safe enough to see at night.
The only halogen bulbs I can accept is the sylvania - silverstar ultra. Those high performance halogen bulbs only gives 27% brighter and 16% whiter than stock and they are my only acception for halogen bulb upgrades.
Halogen lights don’t blind unless u can with a 100 watt rally vision halogen bulbs. But in general like 55 watt u will not.
