Hot German Mustard (Senf) - Baste your Bratwurst, Knackwurst or Bockwurst in this delicious treat
German mustard is difficult to get in the UK, and If you have German blood in you, like most of my family, you crave this delicious condiment.
I will show you how to easily make your own in minutes. Enough for a meal, or a whole jar to enjoy over time. Easily sourced ingredients too.
Just don't forget to leave it for 3-5 days before trying!
Large Batch - (Up to 2 small jars)
----------------------------------
150g Mild Organic yellow mustard powder
15g sea salt
30g sugar
90ml White wine vinegar
120ml water
Small Batch - (1/2 to 3/4 small jar)
------------------------------------
50g Mild Organic yellow mustard powder
5g sea salt
10g sugar
30ml White wine vinegar
40ml water
The ingredients will differ from region to region, so do not add all of the water at once. Judge the consistency. You may need to add more water or you may need a little less. It depdnds how thick you like your mustard. See what it is like after blending with the mixer and you can adjust if necessary.

Yes, I know I said the other day that I had enough kitchen gadgets but I could not help myself when I saw these. They are brilliant and cook food more evenly, quicker and more importantly, efficiently. Cooks crispy bacon in minutes. Healthy crispy fries and comes with three great racks and a baking tray. Also, a rotisserie for a small chicken. will definately have to try that.

      Thanks. I do like mine warmed up again though - a minute or so in the microwave and then that thick Madagascan vanilla cream dolloped on top. I can taste it now...

    Lookup cook with Mel. Hers doesn’t use almond flour which has oxalates. It’s only peanut butter, egg whites or whole eggs. Your choice, baking powder, sweetener and salt. It is amazing.

      @@carloscooks1114 thank you! One other question can you add allulose or any other keto approved sweetener or does it need it. I still have a sweet tooth but staying away from sugar.

      That I sadly cannot answer. I am diabetic and did not sweeten this recipe at all. To be honest I did not want the bread sweet as I wished to use it for savoury sandwiches. I suppose it comes down to what sugar and how much is in the peanut butter you use.

    OK, so I have had this a while now and use it pretty much every day. What do I think of it? Pro's - Well, it seems to have a lot more space than other air-fryers due to the multi-rack setup. Fairly easy to clean with the detachable door. Stainless steel racks clean very easily. Cooks well and quickly and at lower temperatures than food guidelines Food does crisp well and tastes really good. Uses a lot less electricity than a conventional electric oven Cons - One of the rack heights is unusable as it contains the rotisserie ends. The interior light only comes on If you have the rotisserie on. No way to switch it off If you have too much time left on the timer No way to reset the timer - you just have to let it run out once switched off at the wall socket Noisy Markers on the timer and temperature controls do not match up with the figures easily. Difficult to know how to set a temp or time between the stated values as there are too many ticks. Value for money - I would say a little overpriced for this manual control version. I wish I had waited and bought a digital one. Overall Score - 7/10

    I have been using this 'Go Cook' pan constantly... the best hybrid frying pan/wok ever. Nothing sticks, easy to clean. It is the business. Can highly recommend.

      Hi Ayesha, I haven't tried this in any type of cake recipe as yet. It might work as a cup-cake frosting though? It's more of a cheese for spreading or using in pasta. I think your best bet to get a decent cheesecake is to stick with Mascarpone or an equivalent cheese, but If you are feeling brave, give it a go and let us know the outcome! Thanks for watching.

    When I make this, I beat the eggs first until light and fluffy then add peanut butter etc, nice rise, also sprinkle seeds on top, I cook it in a foil tent for 30 mins rotating half way, then remove foil and cook a further 5 mins to brown the top x

      Yes, I think a little coconut flour would work instead of the almond. The amount would be different though, about a quarter of what you would use for almond flour. Don't forget the flour is totally optional. Thanks for watching. Carlos.

    You did a great job making the gibanice. But I would never eat what you prepared, because of one thing. You were touching your face rubbing your eyes and you never went to wash your hands before you touched the gibanica. When you cook, your hands have to be clean. Martha Stewart is another person, she keeps swatting at her hair when she cooks and doesnt wash her hands after she touches her hair. Had to bring that to your attention , sorry.

      Hi Radojka, thanks for watching the video on Carlos Cooks! Don't forget that my videos now are heavily edited, and that there is constant washing of the hands going on that I no longer show! I do not have to worry about the food I cook, if I touch my face, as I live alone and eat everything myself. I will take this comment on board though and make sure it is edited out. I am sure you can appreciate that it is quite a task for one man to prepare, cook, present and produce and some mistakes will be made.

    You were doing well until you chopped the spud up, you should shriv them, that's how my gran taught me.

    why do you need that annoying music? I coudn't bare it and coudn't listen yr video.

      Hello there. If you are finding the music annoying I will try to reduce its volume in future so it does not distract from my voice. In the meantime you can find more condensed clips and photos, plus a lot more cooking content on my instagram and facebook channels. Just look for carloscooks. Thanks for your comments.
