In 2016 Matty wrote the song somebody else so I think he was kinda sad n bitter about her dating someone else but also if you look back every interview he had they always asked him about Taylor swift one lady even called him Matt and another called him Matthew and he’s like it’s Matty, like they don’t even know his name but they know about Taylor swift from years ago and still wanna milk it like he hasn’t done anything else of worth on his own. He also has a whole band it’s not just him and Taylor swift. He also had a record label that puts out some very successful independent artist and is trying to change the way greedy executives make money using artist and exploiting fans. Also the camera men and the stunts he does on stage are planned and consent is given before hand. Theaters and tour managers work with artist during rehearsals and sound checks it’s not random, he’d not be allowed back or he’d be sued. And the raw meat is fake, the wine is so he has courage to embarrass hisself by singing his most vulnerable songs to strangers, and it’s all part of the show. He’s said all of this but he also has done a lot of crazy shit when he was on drugs so judging a man while he was addicted makes you guys look terrible! He has so many references to Taylor and hardly any to the other women he’s dated over the years, even fk twigs doesn’t have music about him which is odd considering Taylor has been writing about him for years. All of her exs messed up but she also messed up too, plus it’s really none of our business and we’ll never really know because we don’t actually know these people. It’s giving look how cute to judge in a glass house when I didn’t do my homework. It’s lazy content creation.

I think the point also is that she was so sad and broken after breaking up with Joe, she was in such a vulnerable place that she was an easy "victim" for Matty. She always thought about what could have been with him and then after she was frustrated, he promised her everything she wanted from/with Joe. After everything went down, she then had to deal with two heartbreaks which were both brutal in different ways. With Matty it was hard(er) in the moment cause she was shocked and her illusions came chrashing down unexpectedly while being on such a high. With Joe it probably wasn't that shocking in the moment since it was some time coming but she realized this was real - like real sadness and pain creaping in under all this chaotic emotions about Matty, which will probably not last that long since she realised it only as a manic phase not as true love

That line "I loved this place for so long, London" hits me every time. Within this sentence structure she changed to meaning of the words and directly tells London=Joe how frustrated she is cause she loved this place=London=their home=their relationship=their time and most importantly him for so long. Very sure she used London as a double meaning but mostly as a "metaphor" for Joe. She is directly indirectly speaking to him. It's most likely less about how he ruined London for her, more that she is frustrated cause she loved him so much for so long
