    Good video Amy and I like your enthusiasm. I would like to offer some training cues too though. Current research has highlighted the benefit of training in the stretched position. Full range of motion is good but if you were to only focus on one part, it should be when the target muscle is most extended. I noticed in your tricep pushdowns for example, you were only working the last flexed portion. Instead, getting your thumb close towards your shoulder will utilise the stretch-mediated hypertrophy. You will likely need to go lighter for a couple of weeks or months but you will ultimately blow past any plateaus. Also the pump is insane! Hope this helps. Also FYI: I consume a LOT of fitness content and this video appeared in my feed. It's the first time I've seen you but you must have done something right with the algorithm

    It's crazy, im from Griona, 100km north from Barcelona how was it did you like the city? Also maybe you could incline the bench just a little bit more so you can isolate your chest but it's okay if you want to hit shoulders too.

    Wow, I can relate a lot to struggling with showing/sharing my struggles with how I’m feeling when I’m down to the people closest to me. It’s so easy to beat yourself up about it but don’t take yourself so serious. You are strong Amy and you can overcome your own challenges as long as you do not give up ❤

    It takes great strength to open up and admit we are not doing well. I for one struggle with this myself and can resonate with a lot that you are saying. I think that when it comes to reminding ourselves that "someone else has it worse" it can be dangerous to view that as a reason to not be upset if your situation isn't ideal. Our feelings tell us something is not right, and by saying that others have it worse we end up being dismissive of our feelings and don't look into how to make ourselves feel better. I myself need to be careful with saying that others have it worse, as it should be a way to empower us and push towards solving the problem, not a way to put ourselves down for feeling bad about our current situation. I believe we can be our own worst enemy. And when it comes to situations like this our aim should be to have a conversation with ourselves as if we are our own best friend. You wouldn't say to your best friend who has an issue that "other people have it worse" because that's not what a good friend would do. We'd hear them out and let them speak the issue and then give advice if they want it. If we treat ourselves like our own best friend and love ourselves then we can allow ourselves to grow and heal. Wishing you all the best, Amy. God Bless.

      I think sometimes we can be our own worst enemy for sure. I’m trying to allow my emotions to be whatever they are no matter what that entails. I appreciate your help and your openness thank you. We got this 💪🏻

    I normally stay away from Christian content more so because I know I am far from someone who can give help to others but I feel the need to say something. I don't know what but 2 verse jumped to mind. Matthew 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. I feel its only natural if you get out of sync with God that the rest of life follows. The second verse I wanted to share is 1 Corinthians 10:13 (this one is from NLT) The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure. I feel this could hopefully help you. The way I interpret it, is that you won't be tempted past what you can handle, and in the same vein, you won't receive struggles you can't handle either. No one's struggle is worse or better than others, it's all individualistic and different from person to person. It's easy to say that they have worse struggles but it's harder to tackle your own struggles that are "supposed" to be easy. You should empathize/ sympathize with those that are struggling around you but don't minimize your own problems because you perceive theirs as worse. You go to gym so can definitely pull parallels from there that if you are struggling with a 15kg benchpress, you won't look at someone struggling with 100kg benchpress and think damn how can i struggle with a 15kg when they are doing so much more, they are struggling harder and pushing harder. It's not about them, you can support them and you should, and they can support you and should but neither should be looking at the other and comparing struggles. I will pray for you because your bubbly personality does come through on camera and its always been a highlight, I wish I could do more. I hope you feel better soon and I hope you realize that no matter what, you are allowed to feel the way you feel. You also said it, you can't fill someone else's cup if yours is empty. Please look after yourself. This is super public but I hope that's okay 😂

    • @AmyRoss23
      @AmyRoss23 4 місяці тому

      Wow this was actually super insightful and helpful. I never thought of the gym analogy like that. But you’re totally right. Ive just been spending time with my own emotions and thoughts and letting myself feel whatever I feel. Thanks for this 🙏🏻

    A lot of people have really high standards in their 20s, unrealistic expectations, or they place high importance on insignificant values. Dating and relationships become easier as you get older (and that's not because you're "settling for less").

    I really enjoyed this, great points throughout. The idea that being selfish is being selfless and filling your own cup first is a powerful one. Our selflessness actually becomes a vice and not a virtue and in reality it becomes selfishness as we do not look after ourselves, causing others to have to look after us, or worry about us, or stress for us, etc. We can only give so much of our fruit until we have to wait and regrow them, otherwise we give our leaves and our branches and our stem until we give our roots and we are nothing left. I also loved that episode of modern wisdom with Pete Attia. We are all social beings and human connection is more valuable than any material possession. Also props for not wanting to swear, that's something i've got to work on 😂

    • @AmyRoss23

      Honestly self growth and self love is the best way to achieve your dreams and make others happy. You physically cannot make others happy if you yourself are not. We go through so many things in life. Some people are permanent and some aren’t. But we experience and meet those people for a reason. We can only be our best. And yea fr. I swear wayyyy too much lol 😂😂

    Okay, I have something to share with you, and then something I think is funny. First, I understand about the relationship part. I often think how good it would be to be in one, but then I either realize that I would lose focus on making myself better, so maybe it isn't ideal. I was told someone will come along, however you should work on yourself first, so when that person does, you, and they are getting the best version. I am still waiting, but I am working hard on myself (bench and yoga today). Second, remember we mentioned that you and I have the same water bottle? I am going to guess that your air fryer, is a Ninja air fryer....I know that sound!!! LOL!!! You are doing great working on yourself. You deserve the best and so does the next person you date. Let everything else pass, stay focused. I live my life by if it doesn't affect my health, my paycheck, or my happiness....I don't worry about it, so....I am not worried about being single. It will happen when it does. Great video, love watching them, and take care over there. :)

      Dam. This was actually really helpful to read. Seeing myself be in the same boat as someone else.
